Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Sat 11th 3pm Ipswich v Blackpool Blackpool look a good price here to me. They've drawn their last three games, and seem to have improved a lot since relegation is confirmed. In contrast, Ipswich have been stuttering and look as though they might miss out on the playoffs after being in the top 6 all season. The pressure is on Ipswich here. The two sides' recent shots on target stats are also quite similar. Blackpool DNB 11.0 Stake: 2 points Blackpool or draw 4.0 Bet365 Stake: 3 points Total stake: 5 points

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Friday TV preview: 5pts Bournemouth to beat Brighton 19/20 BetVictor I can’t see past Bournemouth in this one. They might have drawn their last two away matches but they took Fulham to the cleaners away from home not so long ago and if Brighton struggle to break them down then Bournemouth will gain in confidence and with an early goal this could get a bit nasty for the home side. Bournemouth look destined for promotion to me and they can show why here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/brighton-vs-bournemouth-betting-bournemouth-can-take-stranglehold-at-the-top

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Yet again, I'm advising to bet against my team Norwich for purely value reasons. I feel the 1.89 for us is clearly the result of everyone lumping on us and holds no value whatsoever. Bolton - a team who just beat Cardiff 3-0 away from home and have been tough to beat at home this season, with only Watford, Bournemouth, Derby and Middlesborough beating them at home in the league - look far too long at 4.8. I'd say Bolton DNB at 5/2 with Skybet looks like a great value low stakes option.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Hi There, Bringing something of a different way of looking at things to the table. Before I look at what bet to place, I always look at the matches and the probable expectation of either a 'Home Win', 'Draw', or 'Away Win' result. So, based on this thinking, I always prioritise the match, and not the bet. Here are my probable results with their ratings. Needless to say, these are not predictions, but expectations, and offer no guarantee of being right. --------------------Win----------Draw Brighton----------11.4%--------17.5% Bournemouth----49.5%--------17.5%----Away Win -------------------------------------------------------- Fulham-----------33.9%--------25.9% Wigan------------31.2%--------25.9%----Draw --------------------------------------------------- Derby------------41.6%--------20.6% Brentford--------18.8%--------20.6%----Away Win -------------------------------------------------------- Birmingham-----26.9%--------25.6% Wolves----------38.2%--------25.6%----Draw or Away Win ----------------------------------------------------------------- Bolton-----------25.6%--------24.4% Norwich---------38.7%--------24.4%----Draw or Away Win ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ipswich---------59.0%--------12.9% Blackpool-------4.4%---------12.9%-----Away Win -------------------------------------------------------- Leeds-----------32.9%--------32.8% Cardiff----------31.6%--------32.8%-----Draw -------------------------------------------------- Middlesbrough-63.4%--------18.4% Rotherham-----5.4%---------18.4%-----Home win ------------------------------------------------------- Millwall---------9.3%---------14.8% Watford--------47.1%--------14.8%-----Away Win ------------------------------------------------------- Nottm Forest--40.9%--------18.2% Huddersfield---15.6%--------18.2%-----Home Win -------------------------------------------------------- Reading--------32.4%--------28.2% Blackburn------33.5%--------28.2%-----Draw -------------------------------------------------- Sheff Wed-----28.2%--------38.7% Charlton-------32.0%--------38.7%-----Draw ------------------------------------------------- I include other elements that I look at and evaluate before I make these figures of probability, but I claim no veracity for their ultimate accuracy. I place them here for guidance only. Best wishes and good luck.

In addition, our best player Bradley Johnson is suspended and Bolton have only lost 1 home game since the beginning of October. No bet for me however.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Norwich would probably be a no bet for me. Johnson missing is a pain, but we have enough otherwise to get the job done. For anyone looking to back Bolton, I'd point to them needing a last minute goal to salvage a draw with Blackpool, who are shocking. Very difficult to know what to expect from a side with nothing to play for.

I'd probably fancy Ipswich here. Blackpool have picked up some points, but looking at their results, it's exclusively against sides going through the motions. Whenever they've played anyone with something at stake lately, they've been put to the sword, Watford 7-2, Norwich and Bournemouth 4-0.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th 5pts Derby vs Brentford - Over 2.5 goals 3/4 Ladbrokes Both sides have goals in them actually so this will be an entertaining match. The pleasing thing about this promotion race in the Championship has been how teams have set out to grab the opportunity rather than tighten up with the finish line in sight and we’ve seen some tremendous matches recently. This has all the makings of being another and I definitely expect goals here. Neither defence is firing fully at the minute and both sides are full of goals so there almost has to be at least three in this one. Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th Championship:Derby County- Brentford This is the lunchtime televised fixture by the way. Huge game for both in the hunt for a top six place, County still claim to be chasing top two and trying to force the issue could cause them problems today, with the Bees very quick on the break. Preview of the last Brentford away game, a trip to neighbours Fulham on Good Friday is reproduced under the "good luck" sign off, they won that 4-1, which sounds hugely impressive and was to a degree, but ahead of their next and last fixture a visit from Nottingham Forest to Griffin Park, I took a look back to the local derby fixture and said........ I have to take off my supporters hat for a while now and say whilst the day and result was amazing, Brentford did not play at their best and are a little suspect at the back currently and that is seven games now without a cleansheet. On the plus side, in patches, they showed what they are capable of and through those periods are almost unplayable at this level, they have a tremendous spirit and will to win, are a very fit team, which will stand them in good stead with the quick turnaround and a better team when Alan Judge is on the pitch . He came on for the final 30 minutes on Friday and energy levels which are always high, immediately went through the roof. He is like the duracell bunny and just keeps going, but is obviously not quite yet at 100% after returning from injury, I hope that he can play an hour or so from the start today and get the Bees off on the right foot, but suspect it might be 30 minutes from the bench again. That could make this interesting, Brentford have scored an absolutely whopping 19 goals in the final ten miunutes of games this season, next highest in the Championship is 12 ! When others tire, this team ups the tempo, at home , at lovely but ancient Griffin Park, they are 16-3 (scored-conceded) in the last 15 minutes, only one other team has scored more than ten. They do not take a backward step, by which I mean if they have a must win game (like today) and are 2-1 up with five minutes to play, it would not occur to them to try and sit on the lead and that goes for home and away games , it is not naive, it is how they feel the game should be played, the club ethos if you like...............and it is blooming fun to watch ! Brentford will almost certainly have to claim three points to stay in the top six, Forest have little to gain by playing for a point and like the Bees, score a lot of late goals with 36 of 63 (57%) coming in the final 30 minutes, that rises to over 71% on the road (20 of 28) and only Bournemouth have scored more away goals in the last third of games. That was a very good preview, there were four goals all after the 60th minute, Forest led 2-0 with the Bees fighting back with two late goals. Football is a funny old game and in truth, the performance against Forest was much better than the one versus Fulham and once again they created a LOT of chances, with 33 (!) attempts on goal and a whole host of blocked shots in the penalty area, most of which the defenders concerned knew very little about ! I have been fulsome in my praise of Derby County for much of this season and ahead of their last home start my preview read ......County were the best team I have seen at Griffin Park this season , for a 35 minute spell they were on a different level to everyone else the Bees have played in the Championship, untouchable. Just over five weeks ago they beat Charlton 2-0 and were top of the Championship, five points clear of Ipswich Town in third and heading for the Premier League, then came injuries to Chris Martin and Darren Bent, the two strikers who were going to fire them to the promised land and after collected just two points from a possible 18, they are six off the pace and only two points clear of Wolverhampton Wanderers who sit in eighth place. However, you do not become a bad side overnight, you might be an out of form team and one short of options , but that is something very different. Anyway, just before the break they were incredibly unlucky to lose on the road to a Wolves team they battered box to box and where they were on the end of some very tough decisions from the match officials and even home coach, the likeable Kenny Jackett, said he would have not been very happy if was the County boss. There, the Rams had 61% possession , won the attempts on target count 8-3 and even a blindfolded man would have seen they were superior, at least the performance offered something to build on and the international break the time to do so. It also provided a MASSIVE boost in terms of team news, Darren Bent returned for the Wolves game, now leading goalscorer Chris Martin and midfield duo Jeff Hendrick and George Thorne are available for selection following injury. Martin has missed Derby’s last ten matches with a hamstring problem and Thorne has been forced to sit out the last six games with a thigh injury. All or nothing,no excuses, they cannot blame anything or anyone except themselves and I expect them to give everything for all three points today. The Hornets are a decent team, but if they were both to play at their best, it can only be the Rams for me, this is County's biggest game of the season by far, win and automatic promotion is still a possiblility, anything else, a major disappointment. They fell behind early there, but edged in front before conceding a late winner to the brave ten men of Watford, however, they got back to winning ways with all three points at lowly Wigan Athletic on Monday and will be eager to follow up today, secure a win over a direct rival and possibly avenge the early season defeat in the reverse fixture, which was the archetypal game of two halves, with Brentford dominating the second and winning 2-1. It was my favourite game of the season, but I am not allowed to say that, as it was the only one my eldest daughter has missed and she is still mad about that ! Anyway, County are today without suspended Will Hughes and personally, I always feel they are a better team when he is on the pitch. The hosts have kept just a single clean sheet in 9 home starts and have conceded twice in five of those, with Brentford scoring more away goals than four of that quintet. The Bees have averaged 2.2 goals over their last ten starts, scoring two or more in seven, they have a goal in 11 of 13 road starts, 2+ in 5 from 10, including seven goals in their last two. The visitors have scored more goals in the last 15 minutes of games (24) than any other team in England and have an indomitable spirit. I will suggest 1.5 units Brentford to score over 1.5 goals 2.60 - 2.80 general quote, with the match live on Sky, many companies will trade this match "in running" and we know the Bees do not have to score early.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > April 10th & 11th I've purposely avoided betting on/against Cardiff for a long while. To say slade is better than solskjaer is like saying eating cardboard is better than eating glass. There's been media publicity over Leeds refusal to allow Cardiff more than 500 tickets for away fans, when we can often take a couple of thousand and Leeds aren't getting sold out grounds! The board have backed the decision to seems them all back and we won't take any fans! It's disgruntled the club and I think (and hope) it'll add extra fuel to the motivation. There is massive negativity around the club and, what the media haven't said, is that the lack of city fans will probably help our cause. Slade is getting slated from fans and ex-players, the players are being derided as not being good enough, we lost (again) 3-0 at home to Bolton last week and they all have something to prove, as well as playing for their place in next seasons squad. We've not got any major injuries (and a big enough squad to cope anyway!) and we are Leeds bogey team, having not lost in our 13 meetings over the part 10 years. Leeds have also had a season to forget. Cardiff +0 AH is 1.90 on betfair and that looks like value today.
