Mets (-1.5) to bt Phillies - 8.5pts @ 2.15 Bet365 Mets (-2.5) to bt Phillies - 3.25pts @ 3.10 Bet365 Mets (-4.5) to bt Phillies - 2pts @ 5.25 Bet365 1.25pt ml acca - Mets, Dodgers, Angels, Reds, Indians, Tigers, Giants, Blue Jays - @ 46.55 Bet365 :hope
I really must stop staying up to watch my shitty luck unfolding. Not because my being asleep would make things happen differently, but because going to sleep at 4am completely screws me for the next day. Need to put any bet(s) on and just check scores in the morning. As for last night, the Mets and DeGrom cruised through 22 outs, before he left the game 3-0 up with 1 out and 2 on. Within 4 pitches of handing it over to the pen it was 3-4 to Phillies :eyes :spank

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting Apologies in advance for the clusterfuck of hypothesising that's going to follow. I'm trying to establish a system whereby I can price up my own tissue for the games, so this is just what I've churned out for tonight. My actual bets at the end. This is very much version 1.01 though! 5 Most likely wins 1= Indians (v Rangers) 1= Pirates (v Marlins) 3= Nationals (v Cubs) 3= Brewers (v Giants) 5= Mariners (v Rays) 5= Yankees (v Chiefs) Value moneyline plays (with value rated in *s - the more *s the better the value NOT the more the chance of winning) Nationals to bt Cubs @ 20/23 [13*] Braves to bt Dodgers @ 7/4 [13*] Brewers to bt Giants @ 4/5 [11*] Indians to bt Rangers @ 5/8 [8*] Diamondbacks to bt Cardinals @ 31/20 [7*] Mariners to bt Rays @ 10/13 [6*] Rockies to bt Reds @ 7/5 [4*] Yankees to bt Chiefs @ 20/29 [3*] Red Sox to bt Twins @ 20/23 [2*] Pirates to bt Marlins @ 10/21 [1*] 3 Most likely high scoring teams 1 Brewers (v Giants) 2 Pirates (v Marlins) 3 Indians (v Rangers) 3 Most likely to go to Extra Innings 1 Astros @ Orioles 2 Braves @ Dodgers 3 White Sox @ Blue Jays ---------- I've missed the Indians game starting, thought the earliest game was 18:10 not 17:10 :( I'm going to see how it goes for a week or so, see what tweaks I can make to improve it, so stakes will be kept to just 2 or 3pts a day for interest on a longshot acca or two Bets for tonight Pirates (-2.5), Brewers (-1.5) & Nationals (-1.5) - 1pt treble @ 20.31 Bet365 Braves (ml), Dbacks (ml) & Rockies (ml) - 1pt treble @ 16.82 Bet365 :hope

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting ok, I was going to leave it having missed posting the indians but I keep coming back around to this one 6 pts San Diego Padres to beat Los Angeles Angels 2.50 Bet365 3 pts San Diego Padres (-1.5) to beat Los Angeles 3.50 Skybet I dont think the gulf between the pitching of these sides tonight is large enough to warrant these prices and while the Padres offense is somewhat inconsistent, the Angels are hardly tearing it up either and San Diego have scored more over the season. This is a fairly even matchup. Cashner will start for the friars and he may be 1-7 but has a nasty habit of pitching on a poor offensive night for his team as his season ERA is lower at 2.89 than his opponent Garrett Richards mark of 2.98, Richards is excellent usually at home but was not good the last time so I am willing to make a value play (even if this selection doesnt appear on Petes list above!!!!;)) I was going to put the Dodgers up as well but am leaving it, will update the numbers tomorrow Good luck all:ok

3 Most likely high scoring teams 1 Brewers (v Giants) - 1 run 2 Pirates (v Marlins) - 5 runs 3 Indians (v Rangers) - 12 runs
We managed to find the highest scoring team of the night amongst our most likely 3 from the 30 who all played.
3 Most likely to go to Extra Innings 1 Astros @ Orioles - 4-5 2 Braves @ Dodgers - 4-3 3 White Sox @ Blue Jays - 5-3 (after 10)
A game that went to extras and a pair of 1-run games in this section. ----------
Bets for tonight Pirates (-2.5), Brewers (-1.5) & Nationals (-1.5) - 1pt treble @ 20.31 Bet365 Braves (ml), Dbacks (ml) & Rockies (ml) - 1pt treble @ 16.82 Bet365 :hope
2/3 of each bet came in, with the treble of dogs the excruciating one of the pair. Rockies and Braves both won - Dbacks took a lead into the bottom of the 9th before being pegged back by a homer and then beaten by an error!! :puke Overall, a very small sample, and very early days, but signs of promise

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting 5 pts Baltimore Orioles (-1.5) to beat Chicago White Sox 2.20 BetVictor GAME TWO 2 pts Baltimore Orioles (-3.5) to beat Chicago White Sox 3.75 Skybet GAME TWO I shall start with full disclosure about this game, I have seen neither of these starting pitchers pitch. What I know is as follows, I have more confidence in the orioles lineup to score runs over the hugely ineffective and under achieving Chicago lineup that has exceeded 3 runs once in 9 games (10 if they dont trouble the scorer further in game one of the double header) Baltimore have plenty of hitters who can hot for power, though the ball doesnt appear to be carrying particularly well in the first game. Mike Wright will make his third start for the home town Orioles and has not given up a run at this point in his career lasting at least 7 innings against Miami and the Angels, its a small sample size and I havent seen him there isnt much more I can add. Chris Beck will debut for the White Sox, and this I can talk about some - those of you that havent been reading my stuff very long, I am a Chicago White Sox fan and I dont hide it. Once upon a time hopes were high for Chris Beck, he pretty much goes as well as his slider which was a wipeout strikeout pitch in college and has regressed year on year, Beck is the most experienced pitcher in the Sox farm system (not a compliment - if he were up to the job he would have started in the bigs already) and he relies on keeping hitters off guard as he doesnt have a fastball that blows hitters away. He has had command issues at times as well and one thing hitters at this level will do is make you hit your spots. I am far from enthused to see Beck starting for the White Sox and as I suspect his slider is more likely than not to have an off day I can see him struggling here. The fly in the ointment could be that with Chris Sale having pitched deep in game one that the White Sox will have some flexibility when it comes to using relief pitchers, but the O's have the bullpen edge in my opinion also so I really feel that the White Sox are in a rough spot in this game - though as I have stated, repeatedly, I am taking my opinion on Wright purely from the box scores so take from this what you will.........do you trust me? :lol good luck all

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting I have one more play I am going to make, speculative shall we call it 1 pts double @ 13.13 Skybet Cleveland Indians to beat Seattle Mariners & Under 6.5 runs 3.75 Pittsburgh Pirates to beat San Diego Padres & Under 6.5 runs 3.50 These games both look low scoring as I have not a lot of confidence in any of the lineups on display in these two games to score a lot of runs, I like the edge in the pitching for the Tribe and the Bucs as Burnett and Kluber have both been excellent recently and while their hometown opponents Ian Kennedy and James Paxton are both more effective at home and pitch in ball parks that are more favourable for the pitcher, I am doubling up the special prices that Sky do so in effect its a 4 fold but to sling a point at it its worth a shot good luck all :ok

4 out of 6 here to make them 11-5 overall
Most likely to go to Extra innings 1 Pirates @ Padres - 11-5
Pittsburgh smashed out and plated runs in each of the first 4 innings, and never looked back
Only this bet for tonight White Sox (ml - game 1 - in play 0-0 bottom of 1st) Indians ml Braves ml 2pt treble @ 7.39 Bet365
Again 2 out of the 3 legs come in. Atlanta were stuffed in SF however.

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting 4 pts Kansas City Royals @ Chicago Cubs Under 7.5 Total runs 2.38 Skybet This is a strong matchup for both pitchers. Volquez has pitched well the last twice and is unbeaten in 11 starts against the Cubbies. The Royals have been struggling lately to score runs and Arrieta will take the hill for the Cubs and he is unbeaten in a smaller sample size against the Royals. He also has been effective lately pitching three good starts in a row. Chicagos offense is also streaky having plated only 4 runs the last three games but both lineups are capable of putting a big number on the board I think the pitchers will dominate here, I would give the Cubs the edge in starters and the Royals in relief pitching, safest play is for a low scoring game in my book and I am happy to take an extra run off and play this line. 4 pts Colorado Rockies @ Philadelphia Phillies Under 6.5 total runs 2.10 Skybet This is the perfect storm of a quality, in form starter in Cole Hamels being backed by a struggling offense. It will be a shock if either of these teams scores a lot of runs based on those two facts alone. Hamels started the year terribly but has improved steadily reducing the walks and home runs.Chad Bettis will oppose for Colorado, he has spent most of his career in relief and was solid in his only appearance at Citizens Bank Park. the Phillies, while strong at home are an offensive lineup with a power outage, they havent it a home run in 4 games and that will always lead to struggles with putting crooked numbers on the scoreboard. I think Hamels is the man to stump the Rox lineup and will take the under in this game also. Few other plays up in the air that I may come back for solid looking start to your tissues Pete :ok

Obviously the accas with the favourites in didn't get close, but yet again 2 out of 3 came home and the one that didn't was just a little painful!! The Rays went to the 9th inning in Baltimore tied at 1-1. They then proceeded to load the bases with NO outs and contrived to get nobody home. Orioles came out for the bottom of the 9th, had a runner on first with TWO outs and managed to get him home! Bah Unfortunately won't manage to get anything up today as am out at Magic Weekend all day :beer

If ever there was a reminder you were northern :eyes 7 pts Chicago White Sox @ Houston Astros Under 8 total runs 1.80 bet365 3 pts Chicago White Sox Under 1.5 Total Runs 4.00 Skybet 2 pts Houston Astros to beat Chicago White Sox and Under 5.5 total runs 5.00 Skybet The White Sox do not hit left handers plain and simple, their team batting average drops a full quarter point against lefties, and the team have hit three of their 31 home runs against left handed pitchers this season (and Jose Abreu the teams best hitter and one of those three home runs will miss tonight with injury). Suffice to say I am not expecting the White Sox to trouble the scoreboard much against Dallas Keuchel who is 5-0 1.61 ERA in 8 home starts and has a 1.98 ER with only one defeat anywhere so far this season. I love Jose Quintana who pitches for the Sox tonight, he has been unlucky as the Sox have a habit of not scoring when he pitches (1 run or less in 6 of 9 starts this season) He doesnt allow a lot of home runs either which is a massive help against the Astros. I am expecting a fairly low scoring game unless Quintana has an off night so will play the various lines above and I have to give the edge to the Astros

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting 5 pts Colorado Rockies @ Philadelphia Phillies Under 7.5 Total runs 2.10 Bet365 I dont fully trust Aaron Harang, anyone who has read my stuff knows that, but it is hard to argue with his numbers at Citizens Bank Park whether in a Phillies uniform or as a visitor. he is 4-1 with a 1.26 ERA his last six in Philadelphia. It doesnt matter to me who is opposing the Phillies really as they are as poor an offensive lineup as you could hope to see, however Jorge de la Rosa gets some hate from Pete quite often but does have ability when he has his stuff going, this may occur more next year when he is fully healthy on a consistent basis, he has however been good enough to keeo his team in the game the last three he as started. If Harang continues in the same vein at home as he has been its hard to see 8 runs on the board in this game. 4 pts Washington Nationals (-1.5) to beat Cincinnati Reds 2.55 Coral Rasiel Iglesias the Cuban fireball thrower in his rookie year has had 2 starts, one good and one bad, he has the unenviable task of attempting to slow Bryce Harper and his Nationals teammates - without Jayson Werth tonight. I prefer everything about the Nats in this game and that is no knock on Iglesias but Gio Gonzalez is a solid pitching option, the Reds dont score and the Nats score in boatloads of runs and the back end relief pitching of the Nats is the area where its closest, thats only due to Aroldis Chapman who as closer is unlikely to see action for the Reds in this game. If Gonzalez pitches as well as he can, and the only reason this is only a 4pt bet is his consistency is the knock on him, you will know after 2 innings for sure, then I cannot see the Reds who have really struggled at the plate lately to keep up with Washington. Maybe one more, maybe good luck all

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting I see one that I like the look of, gonna give it a go. 4pts Tigers @ Angels - Under 8.0 1.77 Coral Greene is 3.33 in his last 3 games and 4 out of 5 of his last games have gone under. Weaver is 2.33 in his last 3 games and 5 out of 5 of his last games have gone under. Based on those statistics, I fancy both pitchers to keep this game a tight one.

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting Adding one more: 2pts Indians @ Mariners - Mariners to win & Under 7.5 @ 3.22 Bet365 Marcum is 6.50 in his 2 games this year with one of them ending up unders. Elias is 1.66 in his last 3 games with all 3 of them ending up unders. I fancy a tight game here with Mariners edging it in a low scoring encounter. @dan - Am I right to say a pitcher is 6.50 if he gave up a total of 13 runs over the last two games? New to this, would like to get it right :) Also great call in the White Sox game, clean sweep there :clap :clap

Re: MLB 2015 Season - Match Betting Only if he pitched a full 9 innings in both games slizorn. The ERA is reflective of earned runs per 9 inning pitched In effect 9(IP/ER) if that makes sense and i have written it right. Made sense in my head lol
