Re: JCB Triumph Hurdle > Friday March 13th @ 1:30pm Cheltenham 1:30 - Jcb Triumph Hurdle(Grade 1) (1) 2m1f The Triumph Hurdle is not everyone's cup of tea, but I am really looking forward to it personally and at the prices HARGAM is of serious interest at 6/1 with Coral. The 4 year old grey French import gelding out of Sinndar will be ridden by Tony McCoy and is owned by wealthy businessman and Irish legend JP McManus. Nicky Henderson has had a very poor season by his high standards and will be looking to end the week on a high, as he also runs the favourite here, Peace And Co. Hargam finished 2nd to Golden Doyen here at Cheltenham on UK debut and he made no mistake over course and distance next time out, going on to beat Karezak a tad cosily in a Triumph Hurdle Trial. When last seen, he beat Starchitect by 6 lengths in another Triumph Trial at Musselburgh and he looks a horse that is open to massive improvement. Starchitect boosted the form in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham yesterday by finishing a fine 4th behind the Paul Nicholls trained Qualando. >>>>> Hargam - 2 Points each-way @ 6/1 Coral https://www.punterslounge.com/cheltenham-festival/

Re: JCB Triumph Hurdle > Friday March 13th @ 1:30pm 1.30 Cheltenham: JCB Triumph Hurdle (2m1f) Cracking race to get the last day of Festival up and running and the Irish are going for three in a row after Our Conor and Tiger Roll won the last two renewals. It’s a tricky one for punters with only one market leader obliging in the last ten years but on the other hand no real shock winners apart from Countrywide Flame have come to the fore either. One thing you can count on is that if you look at the roll of honour all of the juveniles have come from top stables. Six of the best; Peace And Co – Nicky Henderson finds himself in a strong position this year with three runners at 10/1 or under and the best of the trio is supposed to be Peace And Co. Started with an impressive 19 length win in the Grade 2 Summit Hurdle at Doncaster. He followed up at Cheltenham on trials day by beating the useful yardstick Karezak by 3 lengths, that race was very messy with no pace so did well enough without being flashy. The big field will suit to give him a strong pace and he could be very smart indeed. Beltor – Came on to the scene with a smooth victory in an ordinary Ludlow novice hurdle, he impressed enough to earn a tilt at the Grade 2 Adonis Hurdle at Kempton and came through that with flying colours. He was only rated in the 70’s on the flat so this is much improved hurdler we have here and seems to stay very well. Hargam – JP McManus owned and the second string from Seven Barrows. He was a winner in France before finishing second on his hurdles debut at Cheltenham behind Golden Doyen. Next time out he beat Karezak here over course and distance and then went in search of some decent ground and won at Musselburgh. That was a weak race and we didn’t learn much but we do know he is very talented and will give his stable mate something to think about. Devilment – This horse was beaten on his debut at lowly Plumpton but it turns out he bumped into another decent one in Pain Au Chocolat. He improved no end to win next time out at Wetherby and then went to Doncaster and beat Lil Rockerfeller without much fuss. This represents a big step up in class but he was rated in the 90’s on the flat when with Charlie Appleby so has the scope to deal with it. Petite Parisienne – The best challenger from Ireland looks to be the filly Petite Parisienne trained by Willie Mullins. She receives 7lbs from the others so that’s a good start. She was second on debut at Punchestown and then beat stable mate Kalkir at Leopardstown in the Grade 1 Gala Hurdle. That has put her bang in the picture and will have plenty of support from the travelling fans. Karezak – Alan King trains this one and he has been a model of consistency since starting out at Chepstow back in October. He beat Golden Doyen that day and has been second four times since then. Has ran twice here at Cheltenham and was second to Hargam and Bristol De Mai in heavy ground. Those conditions didn’t really suit so a better surface may see some improvement. He’s a big price and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him thereabouts going to the last. Verdict: Peace And Co will be a short priced favourite to land this for Nicky Henderson and the yard also have Hargam and Top Notch. I must admit I have been impressed with Hargam and is twice the price so has to be the selection for me. 2pts Hargam 6/1 William Hill

Re: JCB Triumph Hurdle > Friday March 13th @ 1:30pm One from the Uk and one from Ireland.... Peace and Co @ 3\1 Skybet Very impressive UK debut on 2nd run and now 3 from 3. Winner on latest run here at Cheltenham. Could be very very good! Petit Parisienne @ 11\1 Skybet Irish challenge does not look as strong this year but this Gigginstown runner looked good winning the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown in February. Should run close. Additional Bet..... Also having a small each way on Stars Over The Sea for sentimental reason's. The 2nd runner at Cheltenham this week for super Sire Sea The Stars. The 1st runner Starchitect ran a great race to finish 4th in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle on Wednesady.

Re: JCB Triumph Hurdle > Friday March 13th @ 1:30pm 1.30 Cheltenham - 3pts win Peace and Co @ 3/1 (Bet365) I was blown away with this one's performance at Doncaster and the horse he smashed there went on to run well in the Fred Winter. Won a good race last time by four lengths despite them going a slow gallop and him being keen early. Was always unlikely to run away with the race there against good rivals off a slow gallop but got the job done nicely. Will relish the likely faster pace today and looks full of class. Take the beating.

With the main triumph trial this Saturday and the fab already 7/2 its the last chance to get any value .....gibralfaro looks to represent a king and he does well in the triumph and this looks a typical type so currently 10/1 a win Saturday would see those odds tumble so I'll get in early ...

Also ..adrien du Pont  has looked a triumph hurdle type to me from day one ...has been relatively overlooked but ran a fab race against UN s ceax  and probably hated the heavy ground in the trial but still did the business ...,,,has leapt forward with each run and although 10 lbs behind gibralfaro at no he's improving like a triumoh winner so if he were to win or go close Saturday his 33/1 quote would look silly

Gibralfaro  10 pts win triumph hurdle 10/1 wh

Adrien du Pont 5 pts ew 33/1 bet365
