Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Anyone? Sochaux vs Angers Sochaux 17 matches, 13 matches under 2.5 Angers 17 matches, 9 matches under 2.5 Sochaux 9 home matches, 8 under 2.5 Angers 9 away matches, 4 under 2.5 Their only 3 H2H stats -- all 3 matches are under 2.5 Will this be another under match also ?

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Sochaux - Angers I'm staying away of under 2.5 at these odds as Anger has condeded at least one goal at their last 7 away games and last round the match against Orleans ended 2-3. They were ahead 3-0 at 24' and almost lost the 3 points as Orleans did the 2-3 at the first half and then had 3-4 chances to equalize. Sochaux is in better shape as they haven't lost in the last 12 games and last round they managed to win Niort away and remain in the first 4 places. Sochaux to win @ 2.30 Marathonbet

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Chateauroux vs Dijon If just based on Ligue 2 games, Chateauroux is already winless in 5 games while Dijon only lost once in 5 games. Both sides have a difference of 18 in terms of the table rankings, and Dijon also has a slight advantage in terms of H2H However I don't get it, why is the handicap only -0.25? Shouldn't it be at least a -1 instead? Is it because Dijon's away form is not really that good enough? Or is it because Dijon is very weak when it comes to offense for away matches, 9 away matches only 9 goals scored and 8 conceded? I am tempted to buy these 2 picks: Chateauroux +0.25 Under 2.5 (if available) What do you guys think?

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Tours vs Le Havre -0.25 seems interesting. Tours don't really have an advantage in H2H and they are in relegation zone. Tours, 7 straight Ligue 2 losses before 2 draws and 1 win in their last 3 matches Le Havre is winless in 4 matches already Very interesting. Does -0.25 worth the value? Or we get Tours LEVEL instead?

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Saturday : Arles- Troyes Teams playing in the Monday televised fixture are often at a disadvantage the following weekend, but that is lessened for the Saturday fixture and in this case, it probably gives Troyes an advantage, firstly, they have had no midweek cup game to play, whereas Arles hosted Guingamp on Wednesday and the visitors have got used to these Saturday afternoon encounters having already played five of their last 13 league starts on this day, winning the last two without conceding, both against fellow promotion candidates. For Arles, this will be their first Saturday league fixture of the campaign and comes just three days after they have faced a top flight opponent, they failed to score against Creteil last Friday ( which is quite hard to do !) and 10 of their 11 starters and 13 of the 14 who came up short in that game, did likewise against Guingamp and to face another team who could also be playing top flight football next season, so soon afterwards, is going to be a big ask. Arles are bottom of Ligue 2 and have won just six of 37 starts in 2014, Tours arrive in good form and have overcome a bit of a midseason blip, something we discussed ahead of their home game with Dijon at the end of October  ....... The hosts (Troyes)  are coming off a 1-1 draw at Creteil where they needed a late, late equaliser to claim a share of the spoils and they have lost their way a little with just two points from three starts since an emphatic 4-1 defeat here of Niort at the end of last month when our preview went a lot like this ........ Troyes look to have been stopped in their tracks, top of the table after not conceding a single goal through five rounds, they have lost their last two ( 2-1 at home to Auxerre, 3-2 @ Le Havre) and have given up five goals in the process. They were dealing with the Monday-Friday turnaround in the latter and HAC had "one of those days" , Le Havre are one of the most frustrating teams in World football and were unplayable on Friday, in the former, Troyes were far too gung-ho and very vulnerable on the counter, more of that in the Angers-Auxerre preview. I am not sure there is too much they can do about that approach, this is a team and coach totally committed to playing on the front foot, which is something we have discussed time and time again over the last 2-3 seasons and there is no way they will change their game plan and they will be 100% focused on maximum points this evening.  Defensive midfielder Thomas Ayasse missed out on Friday, but returnstonight and the protection he brings to the backline will be welcomed back wth open arms. Given that he was missing, I felt it odd they left veteran Benjamin Nivet on the bench so long and likewise striker Ghislain Gimbert (14 goals last season), he did not score until R6 last season and then notched six in five weeks, so is another striker who might be about to hit form. Niort are very much a home team and do not really win their share on the road, they lost 4-1 here in May, were 3-0 down early and I feel there is a good chance we will see the hosts again come out firing and seize the early advantage here. The visitors do not have a lot of depth amongst one of the smallest L2 squads and it is hard to make a case for the quick turnaround favouring them against one of the strongest and who, rightly or wrongly, took the options to rest one or two key players on Friday. Very little rotation for Niort, who really have to avoid injuries to stay competitive in this division, which will handicap them at some stage across 38 rounds. I feel the problem is that despite what I wrote that day, they have tried to tighten up and whilst you could argue that it has worked, with just two goals conceded in three starts since, it has come at a cost and stifled them offensively and that is what they are all about. Today they get Yoann Court  back from suspension, but midfielder Stephane Darbion is still sidelined, but both sat out the trip to Creteil, so an upgrade in personnel today, I rewatched highlights of that game this morning and a point was the least Troyes deserved and it feels like they just need to get their nose in front to really impose themselves on a game once again. This is a far stiffer test for Dijon and the visitors will not be able to impose themselves in midfield like they did on Monday and a second road trip inside five days , with the second to a team as comfortable with the ball as Troyes is a big ask and I favour the home win. They have won five of their last six starts, including a hard fought 1-0 win in that game and three points today will see them enter 2015 no worse than second in the table and poised for a return to top flight football. They saw off Nimes 2-0 on Monday, the margin of victory should have been much greater, they were denied two stonewall penalty appeals and by the woodwork and do look at the top of their game right now.  The far stronger team , in better form and with 48 hours longer recovery time and used to these afternoon league games ( the early kick off is a major disruption to Arles schedule, doubly so after an evening midweek fixture), they should win this.  1.5 units Troyes -0.25 ball 1.97 asian line/Sportmarket. Troyes have won 5 of 8 away first halves and Arles are 0-0-7 when trailing at the break.

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Tours vs Le Havre A very good odds for the over 2.5. Tours are a team that can not keep clean sheet - only one in 17 matches. They rely on home games to get points and that is why they try to score as much goals as possible since they will surely concede. o 2.5 @ 2,15 Bet365

Re: Ligue 2 > December 18th - 20th Arles vs Troyes Just by looking at the league table and the forms from both sides, I really find it fishy that AH is only a mere -0.25 ! I mean, Arles home form is the worst among the 20 teams while Troyes away form indeed seems to be slipping but they are still one of the contenders to get the 1st spot, and with Brest and Sochaux close behind, they would be desperate for some points to maintain a lead over the latter 2. -0.25 AH offered, from my perspective, is way too good. I guess you all will know what I will pick for this match :)
