PokerWolf1 Posted November 25, 2014 Share Posted November 25, 2014 Well I'm looking for a bit of extra Xmas Money and it's about time I did a challenge on here so thought let's give it a go. This is also a tool I am using to control tilt and improve discipline - something I have lacked a lot of lately. I will start this sometime this week but the basis of it is this: I will start with a deposit of £100 so will start with $150. The aim is to $650 ($500 Xmas bonus) by Xmas playing just tournaments and nothing else. I will ALWAYS keep 30x buyin so max I can buy in to begin with is $5.10 but this will surely quickly decrease. (I will still play Hendon Mob games which are exempt from the rule as they offer too much good value) I will mostly be playing PLO and O8 as I don't have time to do long day grinds and prefer the smaller fields of omaha. I will update here at the start of each session opening bankroll and end the session with a post of results and closing bankroll. On the face of it this doesn't look too difficult if I am on the right side of variance. As I mentioned this is more a tool for me to control my discipline. No deposits or withdrawals will be made during the challenge. If I go broke I go broke - no big deal - as long as I was happy with how I did. If this is successful I will consider a new bank roll building challenge in the new year - I really need to move away from the evils of the casino games and do what I know best! Can win $1000 and $2000 worth of tournament tickets respectively. Well worth a go as there is only about 30 runners and top 10 in the league get something. Lost massive pot with AA2x to A239 with about 15 left and couldn't recover. Fairly happy with overall play although was defo guilty of being rash early on to try and accumulate chips. I have flipped horrendously today and still can't get through one of the Flipout rounds. Early on I seemed to always come up against the table donk and lose but the 5th place in PLO was my own fault. I should have done better with that one. Would of been up today had I won my final shootout flip AJ to 99 but not to be. Will probs take a break until Sunday now. Flopped flush draw too and he rivers a Q that isn't my flush. Would have been a top 3 stack with 12 left... sigh. What's more annoying is I'm not sure how much more I will be able to do this challenge.
