Re: Ligue 2 > October 17th - 20th Laval - Brest Under 2 goals Odds 2.08 Pinnacle Stake 9/10 Two very underish teams. Brest this season 9 unders 1 over, Laval 8 unders 2 overs. Brest in away games is very poor in scoring. This season in 5 games, just 1 goal scored. Laval is pretty good at home in defense, letting to score just in 9 games out of last 20. So I see two very underish teams, with good defenses, with Brest having problems to score away from home,and Laval who is not also a high scoring team, so 3 goals is way too much for this game. Odds will drop for sure. Good Luck

Re: Ligue 2 > October 17th - 20th GFC Ajaccio - Arles-Avignon 1 dnb Odd 1.40 @ Golden Palace Ajaccio has played 5 home games so far (3w, 0x, 2L), scored 6 goals and conceeded 6 (0-2 in the derby against AC Ajaccio and 0-4 against Troyes). Captain Filippi is suspended for this game. This season Arles had 5 away games, in which they grabbed 2 points, conceded 8 goals and scored 4. When I look at the stats over 1 year, Arles only won 2 away games since 30/08/2013 (1 cup game), had 10 draws and lost 12 times. Savanier is suspended. Due to the terrible away reputation from Arles, I'm tempted to go for the 1DNB. Does anyone have some advice?

Re: Ligue 2 > October 17th - 20th Auxerre – Nancy This is a tough one to call between a couple of good teams. Both have proven hard to beat and it’s difficult to know who to give the edge to tonight. Auxerre keep missing players to injury which is hampering their cause, especially in the final third of the field. Nancy on the other hand miss key man at the back, Joel Sami to suspension. I just think overall a tight match is on the cards, capable of going either way. A draw is perhaps the most likely outcome though, either 0-0 or 1-1. It’s difficult to see this one being high scoring and neither team will want to lose. Prediction: Auxerre 0-0 Nancy NO BET Clermont – Ajaccio I actually think Clermont will win this match but their price is too poor. If you look at the Clermont team they are pretty much at full strength bar the loss of key defender Cedric Avinel and playmaker Pierrick Capelle. Ajaccio on the other hand are missing three starting defenders and their top scorer. But the biggest concern with ACA is their poor recent performances. They look like a team devoid of confidence and under a lot of pressure. It’s difficult to see them getting anything tonight unless they improve. I like Clermont to get the 3 points, but no way should they be an odds-on shot. There is just zero value here and I’m not willing to stake anything on them unless there’s a drift in price. Prediction: Clermont 2-0 Ajaccio NO BET GFCA – Arles For those who follow me regularly, you’ll know that I rate Arles. I think they are better than their ligue position suggests, but ultimately a number of mistakes have cost them in matches. Until they actually string together a few results I don’t think they can be backed with any sort of confidence, but I do expect them to improve at some stage. It might not be tonight though. GFCA have looked extremely strong at home this year and are clearly playing with plenty of confidence. I’m not going to back them, but my prediction is a home win here. This is a very difficult place for any side to travel. Prediction: GFCA 1-0 Arles Laval – Brest This isn’t going to be a very exciting contest. Brest away games are usually dull and devoid of action. They set themselves up to be hard to break down on the road and I expect something similar here. Brest are a very difficult to beat and relish picking up points as an underdog Both teams have been involved in a lot of draws this season and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this contest end all square. Laval have been quite decent this year, having a settled and fit squad has certainly helped their cause. I think 0-0 or 1-1 are highly likely outcomes here. It’s rare I ever bet on draws but even I’m tempted to have a nibble on the X tonight. I won’t bet but I can’t see much separating either side come the final whistle. Prediction: Laval 1-1 Brest NO BET Le Havre – Angers At the start of the season I ranked Angers as one of my power teams in Ligue 2. They have yet to truly demonstrate why I had that sort of faith in them, albeit still haven’t had a bad year. The big issue has been away form where they’ve only picked up one win, which was at Tours. For some reason they haven’t been able to fire on the road yet, despite possessing the sort of players who should thrive in away games. Le Havre meanwhile, are a solid outfit but who can be hard to predict. Sometimes they just produce a flat performance out of nowhere. I’d have to say if either is to win, Havre are more likely but my overall prediction is for a draw. Prediction: Le Havre 1-1 Angers NO BET Chateauroux – Sochaux I honestly think Chateauroux are overpriced here. I’m not so sure they should be an underdog against Sochaux, the visiting outfit just aren’t that good. But they are unbeaten away from home this season and shown some signs of improvement in recent weeks. Chateauroux on paper have one of the worst sqauds in ligue 2, but don’t underestimate the advantage of their own artificial surface. They are value tonight but you can’t really backing them with monopoly money, especially as their coach Pascal Gastien is still suspended to the stands. Nevertheless, I think they can get at least a draw so if you’re thinking of backing Sochaux then my advice is to stay away. Prediction: Chateauroux 1-1 Sochaux NO BET Niort – Orleans Niort are one of the few teams who I think will win tonight, but just like Clermont, they are no price. The big issue with Niort is scoring goals, they simply don’t net enough times. They aren’t helped by having an ultra defensive manager who takes few risks. Nevertheless, they have to be respected for their organisation and defensive qualities, plus their abilities from set pieces. Orleans started the season well but have since regressed and look fairly poor. Tonight they are missing their key man Loic Puyo and his absences will be severely felt, he’s their best player by a million miles. This has all the makings of a typical French football 1-0 home win. It won’t be a classic, but at the end of the day I expect Niort to eek out 3 points. If the price rises I will take a piece, but right now I just can;t be taking a team at odds on who score so few goals. Prediction: Niort 1-0 Orleans NO BET Tours – Nimes What a horrible, horrible match. Both teams are fairly crap and I have no idea which way this will go. There are multiple absences on each team so literally anything is possible. Tours having home advantage might ultimately be a key factor but they aren’t playing with much confidence. I couldn’t touch this match with a bargepole and find it impossible to predict. I’ll plump for a 1-1 draw but it could go either way. Prediction: Tours 1-1 Nimes NO BET
