how can i avoid be limited?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I keep reading about bookies limiting your account or even worse being banned. If one wants to start making good money on a regular basis how does one avoid being limited? There's a horse racing tipster i have been following and so far has been profitable, most of the bets i do are each way bets, are there any bookies in the world that wont limit you for winning? Or should i go with a betting exchange like betfair for doing the win & a place bet How could i make £500 on a weekly basis with out being banned, is it even possible? Thanks chris

Re: how can i avoid be limited? The honest answer is that if you are going to win that much money regularly then you will get shut down pretty quickly, at least by the highstreet bookies. I havent yet used any of the more specialist ones but hopefully someone can chip in with some thoughts on those. I think Star Sports say they will always lay a bet but at what odds Im not sure. My advice with the high street bookies would be to open up as many accounts as you can with the BOG firms and spread the money around. Use Betfair where the odds are in your favour, especially if you have the opportunity to check the markets throughout the day. At least if you do this you might be able to keep them open for longer but eventually, if you keep winning, they will either restrict your account or close your account completely.

Re: how can i avoid be limited? The only way is to place the bets in person in a shop, do not sign up to any loyalty schemes, do not get to know the staff, remain as anonymous as possible and never visit the same shop more than once a month. If you want to be lazy, not put in any effort and sit at your computer and place the bets in your underwear then you have no chance. The system can be beat despite what some on here will have you believe, you just have to put in the effort, spread yourself as far and wide as you can

Re: how can i avoid be limited? I am a minor stakes punter, and I have been limited by 6 major books online. I primarily use hills, and think if you throw in some multiples every week and risk a few pounds on their "cough" game products I would think you could be able to stake reasonable amounts. As long as you dont do books offers ( joes and magic sign max £20 tv advertised offers) and dont arb or do pricewise would think you be ok online. Living in a sleepy Somerset town, I can still visit 8 books shops within 2 miles of my house, bit of leg work but you can spread the bets into smaller chunks and still get on if you want a larger bet.

Re: how can i avoid be limited? When betting online you leave behind a trail of data, data can be checked back, if you're winning £500 on a weekly basis you're also leaving behind a BIG flashing NEON candy pink sign that reads............BAN ME! If possible try and use street bookmakers, flit about from firm to firm, stealth - like a gambling ninja. Best of Luck.

Re: how can i avoid be limited? I don't understand their right to ban you for winning , that's what they are there for , so they just want to take your cash all the time but not pay out if you get on a roll? I've won over £500 on roulette at a mainstream bookie 3 weeks in a row and got paid no problem ( online ) this banning when you're on a roll is shocking IMO

I would say the opposite, and get to know the cashiers. Some are unbelievably thick, so can be manipulated by throwing them a few quid when your bet comes in. Sometimes, they are more than grateful and you get a bit extra, if you know what I mean:spank As for accounts, don't bother, as someone has already said, do a bit of legwork if betting 3 figures or more.

As for banning, a bookmaker is a business, it is there to make money, any business looks to limit all losses/unprofitable business that makes sense. And technically its not even being banned as a bet is a wager at terms agreed between two parties, if one or the other doesnt wish to make the wager at the terms available then it cannot take place, essentially thats what a bookmaker will do for an unprofitable customer. There are less of them around than you would think
