Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Gateshead to beat Cambridge (1/1) Gateshead are unbeaten in 11 league matches and will be looking to guarantee themselves a play off spot. Cambridge have lost 3 on the bounce and have already secured a play off spot. Nuneaton v Dartford draw (13/5) Neither side have anything to play for, with Nuneaton safe and Dartford already relegated. Neither side have shown any quality of late and I can see this being a low scoring draw, possibly 1-1 or 0-0 Welling v Southport draw (13/5) Again, neither side have anything to play for. Welling are on poor form, having lost 4 in a row in the league and only 1 win in their last 10 games. Southport are unbeaten in 4 in the league. Southport are the better team recently but have only won 1 away game all season in the league

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Cambridge currently don't have a fit keeper. Gateshead do only need a point for a play off spot although this might be a rehearsal for the playoffs so they might want to get a psychological advantage. Sent from my GT-I8190N using PL Forum

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Biggest crowd of the season expected at Gateshead apparently. They could still take third spot, given the other teams games. Cambridge still don't have a fit keeper? On the other hand, Cambridge could put out a decent side after resting for the last three games. And Gateshead have a very poor record against good teams. Probably worth waiting for a bit more team info as the odds for Gateshead aren't fantastic

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26

Addpea' date=' Ships and fellow Conference sages- any news regarding Chester? Still need to win to avoid Hereford shutting the trapdoor behind them, will Salisbury be on the beach?[/quote'] I think the fact it is on TV should perk Salisbury. Should Hereford happen to take the lead then it will all get rather nervy for Chester which could play its part. Final day games are actually pretty tricky for punting purposes because there are so many things you have to factor in which you don't for most of the other matches.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 TV preview: 4pts Chester to beat Salisbury 5/6 BetVictor Salisbury are a capable side at this level but you have to wonder how much motivation they will have after a long season. It may be that the appearance of the TV cameras will inspire them into life but really the motivation is all with Chester here. I’m no someone who believes that because a side has to win they will but Chester’s home record is decent enough especially against the better sides and that has to count for something so I’ll take them here. Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Some general musings Barnet have released all the players who aren't contracted for next season, which means they're down to 17 players apparently. Those remaining should be looking to impress the manager, but they're up against form side Lincoln, who look a great price at 2.30 Although Grimsby are a good away side, they should surely be resting players now they are in the play-offs, and only squeaked past Hyde last week. 2.10 looks very attractive for Braintree, who can still make the play-offs if Gateshead lose Forest Green should surely have too much for Wrexham? Their manager has stated he has given up on the season and a lot of the squad. Not high confidence, but 1.85 is tempting at the moment I also think Aldershot could confirm Hereford's relegation. The home side have won four of the last six, whilst Hereford have a lot of injury problems. They beat Alfreton last week, but Alfreton's season has fallen apart recently (they lost 1-4 at home to Aldershot three weeks ago). 2.25 for Aldershot looks generous to me. The 2.75 for Southport to beat Welling also worth a shot? Nearly all of Hyde's 's ground has been given to Luton fans for Saturday. They could reach a 100 points, whilst Hyde have 10 so surely only one result? However, Luton players have been on the lash after Monday, and Hyde have been knocking one or two in recently so maybe +2 on the handicap at 1.91. Or Luton -2 at 2.91? Can't decide on this one :)

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Odds on Forest Green have drifted and are now at 1.97 @ SBO which looks massive to me considering how poor Wrexham are at the moment. I read on the official website of FGR that a really high atmosphere is expected with some celebrations and stuff (this is also the first time for many years or even in the history of the team /not sure/ to play the final game on its own turf). The only thing that bothers me is the long injury list they had on Monday and also have now. This is from the official site - it was released yesterday. Can someone comment on the importance of all these players and add some up to date info regarding the doubts, thanks :) "After suffering an injury crisis for Monday’s trip to Luton, Ady Pennock will again be pushed to name a full 16 for Saturday’s season ending occasion. As a result, 17-year-old academy striker Dan Martin may get an opportunity to make his home debut after coming off the bench at Luton. Yan Klukowski may be involved once again despite having a groin niggle however midfield partner Al Bangura is suspended for one more match following the red card he received against Woking. Jason Walker will more than likely be involved after returning early from his loan spell with Southport and he may partner Luke Rodgers up front again. Dale Bennett, Bradley Jordan, Marcus Kelly, Chris Stokes and Jamie Turley are all fitness doubts. Aarran Racine is a definite absentee as his anterior cruciate ligament injury rules him out for the foreseeable future."

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26 Grimsby to rest a lot of players "PAUL Hurst is poised to make wholesale changes to his Grimsby Town side today – regardless of the impact on the other play-off chasers. With a top-five place assured ahead of this afternoon's clash at Braintree, Hurst may 'rest' a host of his regular starters at Cressing Road (5.30pm). Ensuring his squad are fresh and ready for next week's two-legged semi-final is the priority for the Town boss. However, with Alan Devonshire's hosts battling with Halifax and Gateshead for the two remaining play-off spots, that decision wouldn't be a universally popular one. "I'm going to do what I feel is best for us ahead of the play-offs," commented Hurst. "I make no bones about it. I've got no concern for anyone else – whether it's Braintree or the teams currently in the play-off positions. "I'm going to do what's right for this football club, and what's best for us. "The other play-off chasers have ultimately got to go beat the team in front of them." Lets hope the reserves don't play out of their skin, and Braintree don't get stage fright

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill Prem April 26

Some drama there and a poor end to the season match bets wise.
Looks like some drama in the Conference Premier, gutted for Chester but Salisbury did turn up in the end. Thanks for all the naps this year, good profit from the lower leagues. It's been a pleasure and hopefully more value again next year- or better still in the playoffs!
