Re: Bundesliga > February 7th - 9th B. Mönchengladbach – B. Leverkusen Friday night Bundesliga will start Round 20 of the season with the derby between Gladbach and Leverkusen. Gladbach-fans mustl have mixed feelings before the clash because they did not see their team winning on homeground since 25 years against Bayer. Also the historical loss from 1998, when Gladbach hit 2 and conceded 8 will never be forgotten. Both of the teams played a very good season right now. MG was not beaten in first 8 games at home before losing to Bayern 0-2. Bayer with 37 points (17 games) in the first half is the clubs best result in BuLi-history. After the winter break the Werkself lost 2-3 away in Freiburg but could turn things around to right ways with a 2-1 home win against Stuttgart last weekend. On the other hand MG is waiting for the first win of the year after they lost as mentioned to Bayern and away in Hannover (1-3). Bookies are equaling the chances for a win but I see an advantage for Bayer. Not only that they love to play at Borussia-Park they have also less problems in their squad. Only St. Reinartz is injured and they welcome back important winger S. Sam after injury and regular central defender Ö. Toprak. On the other side MG who conceded 5 goals in first two games of the year have massive problems in defense. Young J. Korb (RB) is definitively out and R. Brouwers and M. Stranzl might not be fit for tomorrow. With the lack in defense and the offensive power of Son, Sam and Kiessling (Derdiyok on the bench) Bayer should score minimum two and that could be enough for a result. Best bet imo is Over goals. +2.5 is quoted around 1.80, +3.5 around 3.0 what is very fair.

Re: Bundesliga > February 7th - 9th What about both to score? Gladbach only failed to score home against Bayern, which isn't a shame imo. All 5 last meetings went both to score and 4 out of 5 over 2,5. I agree with Libuda about Leverkusen, so I think I'm going for a BTTS and over 2,5 bet in this match.

Re: Bundesliga > February 7th - 9th Source:William Hill Opta stats [h=1]Bundesliga Opta Facts 7-9 February[/h] SV Werder Bremen - Borussia Dortmund

  • This fixture ended in a 5-0 win for Dortmund last season. Until Bremen's 7-0 loss to Bayern on matchday 15 this season, it was their biggest ever Bundesliga home defeat.
  • Dortmund have won each of their last five meetings with Bremen, scoring 11 and conceding once. On top of that, BVB have lost just one of their last 11 games against Werder (W8, D2).
  • Overall, however, against no other side have Dortmund lost more top-flight games than they have against Bremen (39 defeats in 91 meetings).
  • Bremen have kept a clean sheet in their last two home games. They last kept more consecutive clean sheets at home in the autumn of 2009 (a run of four games).
  • Dortmund haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 10 Bundesliga games, something that has never happened in the Klopp era and last happened in 2004. Furthermore, BVB have only kept one clean sheet in their last 15 competitive matches.
  • Werder have the lowest average possession in the league (42.2%). Since Opta started collecting detailed statistics in 2004/05, Werder have always finished a season with more than 50% possession on average.
  • BVB have scored an impressive 75 goals in their last 30 Bundesliga away games, an average of 2.5 goals per away match, which is more than any other top-flight team in that time
  • Dortmund have allowed around half as many shots (173, second in the league behind Bayern) as Bremen (336, a league high).
  • BVB have collected a league low of just 24 bookings, while Bremen have been awarded the second-most yellow cards (42) after Hannover (45).
  • Between them, Marco Reus, Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been involved in 32 of Dortmund's 42 goals this season (76%).
  • Despite being sent off for two bookable offences in Augsburg, Bremen's Santiago Garcia will be absent for two matches - his excessive display of dissent towards the referee added a game onto his suspension.
Eintracht Frankfurt - Eintracht Braunschweig
  • Frankfurt haven't lost any of their last seven competitive meetings with Braunschweig (W5, D2) and have won the last three. Frankfurt won 2-0 against the newly promoted side earlier this season - it was their first victory of the campaign.
  • With just 11 goals scored, Braunschweig have the worst attack in the league by far. Only Tasmania Berlin have had fewer than 11 goals after 19 Bundesliga matches in the league's history (1965/66: eight goals).
  • Frankfurt have scored just four goals in the last six Bundesliga games (the same as Hamburg). Only Braunschweig have scored fewer in that timeframe (3 goals).
  • 16 of the 20 sides that had amassed up to 12 points after 19 games ended up being relegated, with just four of them surviving. Borussia Mönchengladbach were the last team to avoid the drop after having just 12 points after 19 matches in 2008/09 (15th place finish).
  • Only Bremen (6 games) have been waiting longer for an away win than Braunschweig (5). The Lions' only victory on the road this season was their 2-0 derby win over Wolfsburg on matchday 8.
  • Frankfurt have collected just two points from losing positions this season (the same as Hoffenheim). Only opponents Braunschweig have collected fewer after trailing (one point).
  • Frankfurt (11.3%) and Braunschweig (6.4%) have the worst chance-conversion rates in the league.
  • Frankfurt haven't won in the 17 Bundesliga games in which they have conceded at least one goal (D8, L9). All four of their wins this season have been coupled with clean sheets.
  • Frankfurt's winter signing Alexander Madlung could make his 250th Bundesliga appearance. Madlung, who played in Braunschweig's youth setup for three years, made his starting debut for the Eagles in matchday 19's 5-0 defeat to Bayern.
  • Armin Veh could record his 100th defeat as a Bundesliga manager. Of his 252 games, his side has lost 99 times, won 97 times and drawn 56 times. His tally of 99 top-flight defeats is the highest amongst the current Bundesliga managers.

SC Freiburg - 1899 Hoffenheim

  • The meeting earlier this season ended 3-3. Alongside six goals, the spectators also saw three red cards (Salihovic, Coquelin and Mehmedi) - a league high in 2013/14, together with Hannover's 2-1 win over Schalke (also on matchday 3).
  • Hoffenheim have won just one of their last eight meetings with Freiburg (D4, L3) - a 2-1 home victory in February 2013. SCF have collected seven of the last possible nine points at home against TSG.
  • After three games without victory, Hoffenheim got back to winning ways against Hamburg (3-0). However, TSG are yet to win back-to-back Bundesliga games under Markus Gisdol. The last time Hoffenheim managed that was in September 2012.
  • SC Freiburg have won their last two home games. The last time they won more than three successive home matches was between March and May 2013, under Christian Streich.
  • However, SCF haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 10 home matches - Stuttgart are the only other side without a clean sheet at home this season. If SCF concede in their 11th successive home game, it would be a new club record.
  • After 24 games without a clean sheet, Hoffenheim ended their longest ever run of conceding in consecutive Bundesliga games in their 3-0 win over Hamburg. TSG were the last team to record a clean sheet this season.
  • Hoffenheim have failed to score in the last two away games. If they draw a blank on the road again, it would match their club record set in early 2011.
  • There have been 81 goals scored in games involving Hoffenheim this season - the last time there were more goals in the first 19 matches featuring one side was Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1986/87 (82).
  • Roberto Firmino has been involved in 16 goals this season scoring nine and assisting 7 (level with Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski). He has been directly involved in five of the last seven TSG goals (two goals, three assists).
  • Sejad Salihovic is set for his 150th Bundesliga appearance. Only fellow Bosnian Vedad Ibisevic (43) has scored more Bundesliga goals for TSG than Salihovic (39).
Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bayer 04 Leverkusen
  • Gladbach have won just two of their last 33 Bundesliga games against Leverkusen (D15, L16). Borussia have collected just two points from the last three meetings.
  • Borussia haven't beaten Bayer 04 in 21 Bundesliga home games (D16, L5) - their last home win was in February 1989 (2-0). No home side has ever waited longer for a win against a particular club.
  • Gladbach last topped their current tally of 36 Bundesliga goals scored after 19 games in 1994/95 (41 goals).
  • Borussia have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season and are now without a win in four - they have never lost more than two successive games under Lucien Favre.
  • Leverkusen have lost their last two Bundesliga away games, something that last happened in August/September 2012. Their previous longer run of consecutive away defeats was in March/April 2010, when Bayer 04 lost four successive away games.
  • In Gladbach (52.0% of challenges won) and Leverkusen (52.5%), two of the league's best tackling sides will meet in this game - only Wolfsburg (53.7%) have a better percentage.
  • Christoph Kramer wore Bayer 04 colours for 10 years (1999-2006 and 2008-11) and played in the reserves together with Stefan Reinartz amongst others.
  • With 5 assists (the same as Max Kruse), Patrick Herrmann is Gladbach's best assist provider and is set to face his favourite opponents. He has scored five goals in seven Bundesliga matches against Bayer 04, something he hasn't managed against any other Bundesliga side. He also scored his first-ever top-flight brace against Leverkusen.
  • For the first time this season, there have been two successive Gladbach games in which the strike partnership of Kruse/Raffael hasn't been involved in a goal - Kruse hasn't scored in four games, Raffael in two.
  • Kießling scored again after a run of four games without a league goal, while Derdiyok scored a Bundesliga goal for the first time in over 13 months. It was also Leverkusen's first goal from a substitute this season.

Hamburger SV - Hertha Berlin

  • Hamburg are unbeaten against Hertha in 10 Bundesliga home games (W7, D3). HSV's last home defeat to Berlin was in January 2001 (2-1 - Michael Preetz scored twice for Hertha).
  • Against no other Bundesliga side are HSV currently on a longer unbeaten run at home than they are against Hertha (W7, D3).
  • HSV are the only side yet to score in 2014 (conceding six so far). Hamburg and Hertha are still without a point this calendar year - Wolfsburg, Stuttgart and Gladbach are the only other sides with the same record.
  • For the first time in over 43 years, Hamburg have lost five Bundesliga games in a row - a new record beckons for HSV, as they have never lost six successive matches in Germany's top flight.
  • HSV find themselves in a direct relegation spot (17th) for the first time this season. The last time Hamburg were as low in the table during the second half of a season was in 2006/07 (after 22 games), but they climbed up to seventh under Huub Stevens.
  • With 44 goals conceded, HSV have the leakiest defence in the league and have now conceded more goals after 19 games than ever before in their Bundesliga history. They have conceded at least three goals in their last four matches, a run they have only suffered once before (April/May 1974).
  • HSV are without a win in their last 13 late Saturday kick-offs (D6, L7). No team has conceded more goals in late Saturday kick-offs than Hamburg: 37 in 20 matches.
  • Pierre-Michel Lasogga, who is on loan at HSV from Hertha, is hoping to make a comeback following his thigh injury - with nine goals to his name, he is Hamburg's top scorer this season.
  • With 12 goals to his name, Adrian Ramos is the league's top scorer - he has scored five goals in his last five games (always in the first 30 minutes). Ramos scored the game's only goal in Hertha's 1-0 win against HSV earlier this season.
  • Bert van Marwijk has won just three of his 13 Bundesliga matches as HSV manager (D3, L7) - of all Hamburg managers with at least 10 games in charge, only Michael Oenning (0.64) has a worse points-per-game average than van Marwijk (0.92).
1.FC Nürnberg - FC Bayern München
  • Bayern have only lost one of their last 21 meetings with FCN (W13, D7) - a 3-0 defeat in February 2007 in Nürnberg. FCN are without victory in the last 11 Bundesliga meetings (D4, L7).
  • However, Bayern have only won one of their last six away games against Nürnberg (1-0 in March 2012), drawing four and losing once. They also haven't scored more than once in any of those games.
  • Bayern have won 37 of their last 38 Saturday afternoon kick-offs - the only time they dropped points in that timeframe was in their 1-1 draw with Nürnberg in November 2012.
  • Bayern have collected 53 of a possible 57 points. That is the highest amount ever in the Bundesliga after 19 games - the previous record was 50 points set by FCB in 2005/06.
  • In Bayern (6 points, 7:0 goal record) and Nürnberg (6 points, 7:1 goal record), the two best sides in the second half of the season meet in this match. It's FCN's best ever start to the second half of a Bundesliga campaign - remarkably, coming after a winless first half.
  • FCB have a 13-point lead over Leverkusen at the top of the table. It is the biggest advantage a first-placed side has ever had after 19 Bundesliga games. In fact, it's the biggest ever gap between two neighbouring sides in the table at this stage of the season.
  • Bayern have only conceded three second-half goals, fewer than any other side. Together with HSV, Nürnberg have conceded the most goals after the break this season (both 25).
  • With 187 touches of the ball and 158 passes, Thiago set two new Bundesliga records since Opta started collecting details statistics in 2004/05 during Bayern's 5-0 win over Frankfurt.
  • Josip Drmic has scored braces in each of his last two games. The last FCN player to have a two-figure tally for goals scored after 19 games was Marek Mintal in 2004/05 with 14.

FC Schalke 04 - Hannover 96

  • In the 50th meeting between the two sides, Schalke could celebrate their 25th win. There's a good omen for this match, with none of the previous 49 encounters ending 0-0.
  • Schalke have won 10 of their last 12 competitive matches at home against Hannover (1 draw) and have lost against them just once at home since 2003 (2-1 defeat in August 2010).
  • S04 have won their first two Bundesliga matches of 2014 and are unbeaten in four games (W3, D1). They have also lost just one of the last nine matches (W6, D2).
  • Hannover have also won their opening two games of 2014 and are in third place ahead of Schalke in the table representing the second half of the season.
  • Schalke have won four successive Bundesliga home games for the first time under Jens Keller. The last time they had a longer winning streak at home was between October 2011 and January 2012 under Huub Stevens (5 consecutive home wins).
  • Hannover won their last Bundesliga away game (3-1 in Wolfsburg), but lost all eight matches on the road prior to that this season and are bottom of the away table with just three points.
  • Mame Diouf has been involved in six goals in his last four Bundesliga matches (4 goals, 2 assists). The Senegalese striker has scored all four of those goals in the final 10 minutes of matches.
  • Winter signing Artjoms Rudnevs has scored the opening goal in his each of his first two matches for Hannover. He failed to score in his seven appearances for HSV in the first half of this season.
  • Jens Keller's first Bundesliga managerial job at VfB Stuttgart ended in December 2010 after a 2-1 loss in Hannover. He made a spectacular Bundesliga return in January 2013 as Schalke manager, celebrating a 5-4 home win against 96.
  • Tayfun Korkut is just the second Hannover manager to win his first two Bundesliga matches. Helmut Kronsbein did the same in Hannover's debut Bundesliga season (1964/65).
VfB Stuttgart - FC Augsburg
  • None of the five Bundesliga meetings between these two clubs has ended in a draw. Stuttgart won the first three, while Augsburg have won the last two. There have been at least three goals scored in all five matches.
  • Stuttgart suffered their third defeat in the third game of the season when these sides met earlier in the campaign (2-1 for Augsburg). Bruno Labbadia was let go in the aftermath and replaced by Stuttgart's U17s manager Thomas Schneider.
  • Augsburg are unbeaten in seven Bundesliga games (a new club record) - only FC Bayern are currently on a longer undefeated run (44 games).
  • With 28 points to their name, FCA are just two points behind a European place. Augsburg only reached this points tally after 31 games last season.
  • Stuttgart have lost their last four Bundesliga matches. That last happened at the turn of the year during the 2012/13 season, when they suffered a total of five successive defeats.
  • Stuttgart have conceded a goal after the 83rd minute in each of their last three Bundesliga matches and have lost all three 2-1 having led 1-0. Their tally of 10 goals conceded in the final 15 minutes of matches is a league high.
  • Ibrahima Traore moved to Stuttgart on a free from Augsburg following FCA's promotion to the Bundesliga. He made 45 second-division appearances for Augsburg between 2009 and 2011 (8 goals).
  • Midfielder Raphael Holzhauser moved to FCA on loan from VfB at the start of the season. Holzhauser has made 23 Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart (two assists).
  • Andre Hahn has been involved in four of the last five Augsburg goals (one goal, two assists and the cross for Dortmund's own goal in the 2-2 draw on matchday 18).
  • Vedad Ibisevic has been involved (three goals + one assist) in four Bundesliga games against FC Augsburg.

VfL Wolfsburg - 1.FSV Mainz 05

  • Mainz haven't lost any of their last five meetings with Wolfsburg (W2, D3). The last VfL victory was a 1-0 win in Mainz in January 2011, over three years ago.
  • Mainz last lost in Wolfsburg in April 2007. Since then, FSV have collected two wins and two draws in away games against VfL, scoring at least twice each time and producing their fair share of comebacks (3-3 from 2-0 down, 4-3 from 3-0 down, 2-2 from 2-0 down, 2-0).
  • While Wolfsburg have started the second half of the season with two defeats, Mainz have won their first two games of 2014 and are now level on points with the Wolves (both 30).
  • FSV are unbeaten in five matches (two draws followed by three wins), something that last happened in February/March 2013 (seven games unbeaten in total). FSV last won four games in a row between April and August 2011 (a run of 5 consecutive wins in total).
  • Wolfsburg have collected just one point from their last three games, their worst run this season - that last happened in February/March 2013.
  • Mainz have already scored eight goals via substitutes. Only Bayern (9) have scored more. Ja-Cheol Koo scored from the bench on the last matchday.
  • Since their 2-0 loss to Braunschweig (October 5th), VfL have scored in 11 consecutive Bundesliga games. Only Bayern are on a longer run (56). However, the Wolves have also kept a clean sheet in just one of their last nine league matches (3-0 win in Freiburg).
  • Wolfsburg are without Daniel Caligiuri following his red card (one match ban), while Mainz's Nikolce Noveski is absent due to a yellow-card suspension.
  • An Asian player has been involved in the last eight Mainz goals, namely either Shinji Okazaki (four goals, one assist), Joo-Ho Park (one goal, two assists) or Ja-Cheol Koo (one goal).
  • Ja-Cheol Koo moved to Mainz from Wolfsburg in the winter break. Sebastian Polter made the same move during the summer.

Re: Bundesliga > February 7th - 9th Here is a very weird set of stats. Leverkusen are really not very good in the 2nd half of away games. They have NOT WON a second half league game away from home (and they are 2nd in the Bundesliga) They have scored just 2 second half goals away in 9 away games, and have a -5 2nd half goal difference. This is strange for 2 reasons ... 1) It's a ridic low number for a top team ... 2) Most top teams have a better scoring record in the 2nd half. Combine this with Munchen Gladbach 2nd half home record (W7 D2 L1 goals for 17 and against 5) the Munchen Gladbach to win the 2nd half bet looks decent. The best odds for this are offered on betvictor at 2.9 but 2.75 seems to be the average Not going crazy here, but definitely worth 2 units in 2 different accumulators you could do a lot worse than take this, onto JUV HT/FT, onto Real Madrid score 1st and win (3 legs gives you 8-1 which is a decent price for three strong stats backed outcomes)
