Re: Sky Bet Championship > Wednesday January 1st I read somewhere that Charlie Austin is doubtfull for tomorrow's game, that`s a big blow, considering that he scored 10 goals this season, almost half of QPR goals. Is there anyone that knows if he's going to play? Thanks.

Both teams too short for me. Birmingham without Lindgaard and Adeyemi who are two of their better players. They have also won just two of eleven home games. Danny Wilson is a decent manager and I expect Barnsley to start picking up quite soon. Tempted by Barnsley +0.5 actually....

Bournemouth are in similar form to Brighton and I think they could be decent value at 4.5 here. Bournemouth 4.5 BetVictor/Bet365 Ipswich v Charlton It's hardly a derby, but the two clubs are in easy reach of each other via one of the East London Thames crossings like the Dartford Tunnel. Because of this, Charlton will be taking quite a lot of fans to the game. They've won 2 and drawn 1 in their last 5 trips to Portman Road, and I think they're decent value at 4.7 here. Charlton 4.73 Pinnacle Reading v Nottingham Forest Forest are in much better form and I think their odds should be a bit shorter than 2.75 in this game against a struggling Reading. Watford look a little short to me in the match betting given that they have only won one of their last six and that was only against a struggling Millwall side so with goals looking like being hard to come by I’ll take under 2.5 goals at a similar price to the Watford win. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Wednesday January 1st Sheff Wed v Blackpool: Both Teams To Score @ 1.90 Bet365 (7 Points) I strongly fancy this bet and it's one that would have banked in 17 of Wednesday's 23 games played so far. Both sides are struggling and will be desperate to bag the 3 points here. Blackpool remain depleted with injuries and suspensions and they are particularly struggling at the back. They have kept just 2 clean sheets in the last 10 games so you have to fancy the Owls to get on the score sheet being at home. Whilst The Tangerines are struggling at the back, they still have good options up front and they have scored in 8 of their last 10 matches. I don't think either side is good enough at the back and with the stats on side I really like the look of this bet.

All four matches ended in 1-1 draws - so all bets lost. From the BBC reports, it sounds as though Barnsley and Charlton deserved at least a point in their games, so there was some value in backing them at long prices, but Bournemouth sounded lucky to get a point. I'm not too unhappy with losing all four, as I think on another day, two or more of these could have won, which would result in a healthy profit (in other words, I think most of these bets were 'good value' :)
