Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Boxing Day Carlise United - Preston North End League 1 England Sunday 26/12 14:00 Prediction: Preston North End Odds: 2,30 Stake: 4/10 units Bookmaker: Ladbrokes Game review: 17th placed Carlise enteres this game losing their last game to a strong Walsall away 2-0, before that Carlise won at home to Crewe & Wrexham who is both situated in the lower part of the table. Preston lost at home to a Brenfort in absolutely hysterical form 0-3. But Preston is a good side, currently placed 5th in the table, one of the stronger away sides in the division with 10-6-3-1 (16-9) Much of their play is surrounding experienced striker K.Davies, and best goalscorer Garner. What makes this game particular interesting is the fact that an already weakened homeside got another couple of injuries in their last game, so all in all now a handful of injuries for Carlise. To quote their manager: "We got two during the game and we're back down to the bare bones of the squad" Preston sometimes lacks a bit of creativity, but they should really have a decent chance here on Boxing day. Really a good away side, playing a team with some problems. The last 4 between these sides have gone to a draw, hopefully Preston can get all 3 points now! 2,30 looks like decent value, we expect this one to be closer to 1,95 before kick-off, if no unforseen circumbstances occur. Kind regards,

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Boxing Day Coventy City - Peterborough United League 1 England Sunday 26/12 13:00 Prediction: Coventry City Odds: 2,50 Stake: 4/10 units Bookmaker: Coral Game review: 13th placed Coventry against Ferguson jr's Peterborough United placed 4th in the table. Coventry lost away to a good Swindon side, Coventry played very good football, their pressing game, their passing. It was a top level performance, despite the loss. Coventry has a good team and should advance in the table. Played well overall recently except a couple of setbacks at home against Tranmere & Rotherham. Only Swindon has scored more goals at home than Coventry, but no team has conceded more goals at home than Coventry, so they really need to be more focused in the defense, but lately it has been looking quite improved. Striker C.Wilson should be back here after injury. Peterborough won at home to Bradford in their last game, and are in a good period. Undefeated in the last 3 games. However havent won away since mid October and we think they are really gonna be up for it here against a Coventry side playing very well. No doubt Peterborough is a good side, but little bit to weak away, and inconsistent to be a direct promotion contender? Coventry good chance here if they can play the same way as against Swindon

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Boxing Day

Does any way know if the weather condition in England will improve by boxing say? otherwise its no use betting on the lower leagues becuase games could be called off and those that manage to make it might have under the terrible weather condition could see very few goals' date=' always like that this rime of the year[/quote'] I believe the weather will ease significantly by boxing Day. The severe weather that has hit Southern England and other parts heads for the north of Ireland today. This was brought about by an anti-cyclone in the gulf stream spreading in from the mid Atlantic, which appears to be sweeping northward and heading for Greenland, where it will find only Penguins, Walrus and the like, more suitably dressed for that type of weather. Hope this helps.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Boxing Day I thought you guys would find this useful [h=1]Source :League One Opta Facts[/h] Bradford City v Rotherham United Bradford City have lost their last five games against the Millers, failing to score in four of those matches and conceding 15 (in all competitions). Kieran Agard has scored three goals in his last two games against Bradford (in all competitions). Rotherham have won three of their last four league trips to Bradford, losing the other. Nahki Wells has found the net six times in his last six league games for the Bantams. Indeed, Wells has scored every 98 minutes in League One this season, the best rate of any player who has scored more than five. Ben Pringle has recorded the most assists in League One this season (8). Brentford v Swindon Town Brentford won both the regular season fixtures against the Robins last season by a single goal (1-0 away in November 2012 and 2-1 at home in March 2013). Four of the last seven meetings between the sides have ended in draws (in all competitions), though only one has come at Griffin Park. Clayton Donaldson scored four times in four games against Swindon last season, including two in the 3-3 draw that sent Brentford to the playoff final. Brentford have kept 10 clean sheets in League One this season, a joint-league high with Wolves. The Bees have won their last five League One games at Griffin Park, scoring 13 and conceding just three times. Bristol City v Walsall Bristol City have been victorious in three of their last four league games against the Saddlers, losing the other. The last time the two met in league competition in the 2005/06 League One season, Walsall were beaten 3-0 in both meetings. 71% of the Robins' strikes this season have come after half-time, a League One high proportion. The Saddlers are the only League One side yet to drop a point when leading away from home, winning all five games. Milan Lalkovic has scored in back-to-back league games for the first time in his career. Carlisle v Preston North End Carlisle have failed to score in four of their last five home league games against PNE (D3 L2). The last four league meetings have ended in draws between the two sides. The Lilywhites have gone five league games without beating the Cumbrians (D4 L1). Carlisle have won their last four home games (in all competitions), though they didn't keep a clean sheet in any. In fact, it has been eight games since they kept a side out at home. PNE are unbeaten in six away fixtures, winning five and drawn once. Preston have conceded just twice in the 15 minutes either side of half-time in League One this season, the fewest of any side. Colchester United v Stevenage Since beating the U's 6-1 in their first league encounter, Stevenage have failed to find the net in their last three games against Colchester (D1 L2). Colchester won both games against the Boro last season, without conceding a goal (1-0 at home, 2-0 away). Just 33% of Stevenage's goals this season have come after half-time, a League one low. The U's have won just two of their last nine League One home games (D3 L4). The Boro have been shown 50 yellow cards this season, more than any other side in England's top four tiers. Coventry City v Peterborough The Sky Blues have only lost once at home to Peterborough in their league history, way back in September 1961 (W2 D2). Both teams have scored in each of the five league games when Coventry have been at home. Leon Clarke has scored seven times in his last six home games for Coventry (in all competitions). No player has scored more goals away from home in League One than Britt Assombalonga (7) 25% of the Posh's goals this season have come from outside the area in open play, a League One-high share. They are also the only League One side yet to concede in this manner. Crawley Town v MK Dons These two sides first met last season, with Crawley winning at home 2-0 followed by a 0-0 draw. Billy Clarke scored both goals for the Red Devils in their last meeting at the Broadfield Stadium in October 2012. MK Dons are yet to score against Crawley Town in the league. Crawley are winless in five home league games, failing to score in four of them (D3 L2). MK Dons' away win against Wolves was their first in six on their travels, losing the previous five. The Dons have conceded just once in the 15 minutes after half-time this season, a joint-league low with Preston. Gillingham v Leyton Orient The Gills have lost just one of their last 12 league games against Leyton Orient (W6 D5). Leyton Orient's last away league win at Priestfield came in October 1969 (D2 L5). They have conceded 16 goals in those seven fixtures. Gillingham have conceded 10 headed goals this season, more than any other League One side. The O's have picked up seven away points from behind in League One this season, a joint-division high with Oldham Athletic. Five of David Mooney's last six goals for Orient have come away from home (in all competitions). Port Vale v Notts County Both teams have scored in each of the five last league meetings between the two sides, with two wins for Vale and three for County. Port Vale have won four of the last five home league clashes with the Magpies (L1), scoring 11 times in the process. Just 3% of the Valiants goals this season have come in the opening 15 minutes, a League One-low share. The Magpies have won just once on the road this season in League One (D2 L8), though this was their last away game (4-0 vs Colchester). Port Vale are one of three sides in the top four divisions yet to record a clean sheet at home this season, along with Fleetwood and Sheffield Wednesday. Sheffield United v Oldham Athletic The Blades have scored exactly two goals in all but one of their last seven league fixtures against the Latics (W4 D2 L1). Oldham have won only one of their last nine visits to Bramall Lane in the league (D2 L6), conceding exactly two goals in eight of those games. Sheffield United have let in nine goals from outside the area in open play this season, the most of any League One side. The Blades have found the net just 18 times this season, a joint-low with Crewe in League One. Shrewsbury Town v Tranmere Rovers Shrewsbury Town have only won one of their last five league games against Tranmere, albeit their last meeting at Prenton Park in February 2013 (D2 L2). Rovers have lost just one of their previous six league games away to Shrewsbury (W3 D2), though haven't kept a clean sheet in that run. The Blues have dropped 16 points when leading in League One this season, more than any other side in the division. Ryan Lowe has scored seven goals in his last five league appearances for Tranmere. Wolverhampton Wanderers v Crewe Alexandra Wolves' last defeat against the Railwaymen in the league came in October 2001 (W3 D2). Crewe have only won once at Molineux in their previous eight trips (W3 D4), scoring a total of five goals in the process. Bakary Sako has more assists at home than anyone else in League One this season (6). The Railwaymen have picked up a solitary point from behind in League One this season, fewer than any other side.

The only one I like here is goals between Coventry and Peterborough. I know its short but I'd rather be on that than a short priced favorite. Both sides are very "over" sides and both have plenty of goals in them. Coventry have gone off the boil recently so Peterborough should fancy themselves to get something. 1.61 with bet365.
