Re: Newcastle United v West Ham United - Sat 24th August Certainly value on West Ham here. We had a good record against Newcastle last year, winning the away tie 1-0 and getting a 0-0 at home. Most would agree we are a stronger team now and most would also agree Newcastle are a weaker team now, without Ba up-top, no Remy or Cabaye. The only worry here is that we need to improve on our rubbish away form that's been plaguing us for the past couple of years. Last season we only won 3 of our 19 away games and that was against QPR, Stoke & Newcastle. This puts me off alittle but we will see team news nearer the time.

Re: Newcastle United v West Ham United - Sat 24th August Agree with Fader on this, was a little surprised at the odds when I saw them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Draw or West Ham @1.72 (B365) looks tempting ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Newcastle have a few players out / injured; both Taylor's will miss the game, Santon & Gutierrez may be out injured, Remy will not feature. West Ham will be without Andy Carrol

Re: Newcastle United v West Ham United - Sat 24th August Fancy West Ham to win this - never a better time to play Newcastle - very poor the other night and a few players looking to get out - Their best defender Taylor missing through a stupid suspension and the influential Jonas out for a while - Cabaye unlikely to play too Krul will prevent them getting battered but expect Hammers to win 1-0 or 2-0 I would avoid tying cash up for 9 months but if I had plenty spare I'd lump on Toon to get relegated - I've seen all 3 promoted teams play last week (plus last seasons escapees Stoke and Villa) and they have bucketloads more fight than this lot

Re: Newcastle United v West Ham United - Sat 24th August Well i've got a small fortune on West Ham H2H. Should win this either 2-0 or 1-0. Newcastle are decimated at the moment and never is there a better time for them to stop the rot away. Paying $3.30 won't be playing much as i'm still getting a feel for this season.
