Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan leicester v middlesbrough pick middlesbrouigh +1.0 leicester have caved in a couple of teams of late since signing woods but they have been struggling teams and before this they hadnt beaten a team by morte then 2 goalsw for a good while. they they play a middlesbrough bteam who have lost a few came of late but havent been playing badly and are as top team and have gt a great rep away from home going back a few seasons. Their losses lately have been coz they havent taken their chances of been unlucky. They have a few players who can battle dirty in the middle of park which leicester dont like plus I fancy both teams skill and stlyes will probaly cancel each other out. So the +1.0 1.75 line and odds offered on them offer great value.

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan peterbrough v hull pick hull 0 1.65 posh loss to a lacklustre forest last time out, which brought their good rum\n and momwentum to a sudden stop, they were without star players thorne, tomlin and zakuani, and they will probaly not all return this game. so this is a good time to mopose the posh, also with lots of intyerest in star player boyd, things are not very settled now for them. Now top team hull whi were also on a great run until they lost also last time out v sheff wed and have lost a start player in aluko but were getting the results recently even without him so i dont think it will be as much of a loss compared with the posh missing stars. Hull have a great away record and great defence and their last time defeat will probaly be a positive and I think will have a great advantage over the posh in this encounter asnd the ahc 0 line and 1.65 odds are well worth taking.

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan So far this season there have been draws in 23.9% of games in The Championship. Make of that what you will, but normally the draw percentage hovers around the 28%-29% mark. There was a season like it back in 07/08, and it's enough to put the fear in me regarding any draw or cover bet

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan 5pts Leicester to beat Middlesbrough 8/11 Bet365 It is interesting that Middlesbrough have only drawn twice all season and that suggests we’ll get a result in this match and with the form side being Leicester I think they can win this. Errors have slipped into the Middlesbrough defensive line in recent weeks and they won’t be able to afford that here. Conditions won’t be easy but they are a lot easier when you are on a good run and I expect the Foxes to push closer to leaders Cardiff here. Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan Leicester v M'Boro - Over 2.5 screaming at me here. 6 of Leciester's last 7 have had over 2.5, 1-0 against league leaders Cardiff the exception. Boro sloppy on the road too, last 4 have been goalfests, 3 goals minimum. If Chris Wood starts, and weather doesn't ruin it, i'll be taking Overs at 7/10 and BBTS at 4/6 with bet365 then spend all my winnings on drink. Cheers n gone

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan Leicester v Middlesbrough over 3.5 goals @ 2.62 Bet365 Leicester have covered this line in 5 out of their last 6 home games Middlesbrough have covered this line 3 out of their last 6 away games Leicester v Middlesbrough – Middlesbrough corners over 4.5 @ 2.10 Bet365 Middlesbrough have covered this line in 3 out of their last 6 away games, 3,9,4,3,7,5 Leicester have conceded at least 5 corners in 3 out of their last 6 home games 6,3,2,5,5,1 I'm hoping for an open game tonight and one I think Leicester should win. However Middlesbrough won't lie down here and they will get chances against a team who only have one clean sheet in their last 6 at home. Middlesbrough have scored and conceded in their last 4 away games so I think we should see a few goals tonight. I will also play the corners as I think its a decent price that the boro can notch at least 5 corners in the process.

I see some value in the pick. The Posh run of form coincided with George Thorne's arrival on loan who quickly after 7 games when WBA realised he actually was Premiership material. With his return to the Baggies Posh lost much of their creativity which has been accentuated by Lee Tomlin (nutter one minute / genius the next) getting a 3 match ban (not playing this game) so I cannot see them being too much of a threat. Defensively the heart of their defence is gone with Zakuani off at the African Nations with DRC. Wooton (on loan from Man U) played well last week but with a 3 man defence Posh are always vulnerable at the back. The only reasons I am leaving this well alone are as follows: 1. Posh are fresh - no game since last week whereas Hull went the full 120 with Orient in mid week. 2. Posh have tended to perform better against the team flying high at the time...Cardiff / Hull / Hudds (who were on a roll at the time) / Derby - Hull fit into this category quite nicely. Good luck though - like I said I see definite value in your pick, but the points above just niggle at me.

In my experience you have the answer for why this bet is likely to lose in your write-up. Top teams vs top teams more often then not go under, because the two defenses tend to be good and the two teams are typically of similar quality. The stats show lots of goals against lesser sides...doesn't often hold up when a good side comes to town.

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan 4pts Cardiff to beat Blackpool 9/5 Coral Cardiff’s form has shown little sign of ending and Blackpool would be up against it in this match even if they were to play well. Cardiff are particularly strong at the back which is important when you take on a Blackpool side who have lots of attacking options but Blackpool can be slack defensively and that’s where I expect Cardiff to profit and come away with the three points. Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan I like Leeds at home even if the price has gone down a lot; i will use it in a double at medium stake; Bristol City is desperate for points but Diouf and Becchio should deliver this one, at home they are winning every game and i think that this year Leeds can make an assault to play offs, given the great equilibrium of this championship

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan Watford v Huddersfield @1.80 VCbet (3 Points) Watford are in great form and are seemingly scoring goals for fun. I really do think they have a great chance of going up this season. Huddersfield are struggling though and so far this season in their 6 away matches against top half teams they have only picked up 1 point. Everything points towards a straight forward home win and 4/5 represents fair odds for this.

Re: Championship > 18th Jan - 19th Jan Ipswich vBarnsley @ 2.00 VCbet (3 points) Big Mick has done a great job at Ipswich since taking over and has really turned their form round. With it being the transfer window it makes things a bit harder to predict with the comings and goings. They've lost dj Campbell up front but brought in McLean who hasnt really done it at Hull but with his pace and power he has the right attributes. McGoldrick has also come in and he has been having a good season down in league 1. Potentially they look like they could be a decent pairing though. Barnsley have seemingly improved since they sacked Hill but I still really worry for them. They've sold their top scorer Davies and Wiseman is likely to be left out again due to a pending transfer. They have have also lost a few players they had on loan so overall they look to be very light. I did oppose them last week and they ended up winning but away at an improving Ipswich could be a tougher challenge. Even money on Ipswich looks a decent price at home against possibly the worst side in the division.

A number a factors are springing up for me but this game appears to hinge more on what the Blackpool players mentality will be like here. Manager of the month has taken on a unique form in Blackpool and they again find themselves managerless following Appleton's taxi ride to Blackburn. From an outsiders perspective, I'd be more worried at the lack of an evident plan. Blackpool fans have posted online of their "embaressment" that attempts to hire Parkinson, Clarke and Robinson (of the ones made public) have been rebuffed. How that leaves players feeling and thinking, is anyone's guess. Steve Thomson publicly stated he wanted the job after holloway left, so we would have to assume by now that Oyston does not see him as a positive long term solution - again, possibly not morale boosting for the squad. Whilst all players are professionals (take of that what you will), players like Tom ince who are capable of playing in the premier and are under transfer speculation will surely not be wanting to get injured by laying their lives on the line for a cause which at present looks a bit of a shambles. A good time for us to be playing them then and, with only long term absentee nicky Maynard out injured, I'd expect us to be looking to bring all 3 points back home. We've a decent record against them since the play off defeat and I'm expecting our away form to be more important for the remainder of the season. Having broken records with our home form and sitting top of the league, I'm expecting everyone who comes to Wales to up their game and play defensively. There is a fickle minority of our fans who will boo if we dont win every game and, following a series of missed promotion opportunities, the home crowd are likely to get nervous in The run in. Hence away games will offer less pressure and, therefore, I'd expect us to travel better than we did earlier in the season. Since the 5-4 defeat at the valley, we've looked stronger mentally away from home. The odds on us certainly look tasty and worth a nibble at. My worry here is the way of the championship. Historically, it's a league where a coin toss can be as effective as in depth analysis and, where all the weight sits on one side of the see-saw, it typically breaks and favours the unfancied :wall
