wellarmy
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd Celtic v Motherwell Celtic to win to nil 5/4 skybet This is the fourth encounter at Parkhead that Stuart McCall will have been in charge of Motherwell, in the previous 3 meetings Celtic have won to nil and I would expect similar today. Celtic come off the back of a defeat to Hibs so I am sure they will be fired up to get back on track. Our form away from home has been good this season but we tend to play with a fear factor against the Old Firm and very rarely trouble our opponents in terms of scoring goals, our defence is pretty weak as it has been all season so I don't envisage Celtic having to many problems in scoring. Snowman
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd As I see no comments on this nice day, so I will add some, might be of some use. Morton-Dumbarton. The game is predicted as a home win, spot on. i do not like when a league game is so one sided, so this is the no1 to avoid today, Dumbartno did not have a busy period, meanwhile they managed to score 4 at Falkirk, so if there is a possibility to bet Dumbarton to score, this might be a frutiful bet. I also think that there are not many goals to be seen, so even an under could be the option, but still my choice is Dumbarton to score. Dunfermline-Raith.It is a classic match involving two teams who will neither get promoted nor will be relegated this season, so I see no reason for Pars to hold back, I expect them to score two, maybe even three goals, as they seem to be relatively prolific lately. Raith will also come to play, and they will probably score some as well, so overs would probably do today. Falkirk - Livi. It is a similar situation as in the abovementioned match, no promotion no relegation to both teams, I see Falkirk scoring as they usually do at home, still I wouldnt be sure on the final outcome. Livi have managed to climb back from the div3, and they have reached their true level now, dont believe they can beat Falkirk at home, so the good choice, given the odds could be Falkirk not to lose. Partick-Hamilton. Despite that Hamilton have found some form recently Jags remain favourites today, and I beleive they can nick it, still, wouldnt bet on that for real money. Hamilton will come to draw if they can, given that their defence is relatively solid i wouldnt expect them to concede more than two, but I cant find a good bet in this area. I also expect goals at Elgin and Montrose, overs would be fine, and given the odds, a single bet on Clyde to win is a must, Spiders are traditionally terrible at home, with no motivation at all, when you combine it with their low scoring style of play and the fact that whatever you call it it is a kind of local derby, it is a chance that shouldnt be missed, even if it doesnt pay at the end of the day. RIO2014
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd Sad that there is no comments, But thats just it, scottish football hanging on by a thread, Virtually no outside intrest apart from CL when celtic play. Near a full program and the turnover on football is very poor. Something needs to happen before it goes the way of Greek football. I dont bet on Scottish football myself, but good luck to all who play!

Marek_Hamsik
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd just an idea on the hearts - hibs game hearts had a few better games, if you take out the one against celtic 0:4 and they manage to score at home... hibs are quite good upfront with Doyle and Griffits... about 22 goals if im right... hibs did even win against celtic at home... so to cut the story short... Aidymac
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd *Hearts WIN > 2.14 Betfair* I fancy the home side to take the spoils in this game. Apart from the Celtic game, which can be forgiven, they have done very well at home in recent times, beating Dundee Utd, Aberdeen, St Mirren, Motherwell and Livingston at home. Yes, Hibs beat Celtic last time out at home, but away from home they have not been great, and they did lose 3-1 away to Dundee, who are going to be relegated this season, I think this is a great opportunity for Hearts to climb up the table. Batig0l
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd The Edinburgh derby takes place once again tomorrow (this) evening between Hearts and Hibs, and it is quite an important game in terms of league credentials for the rest of the season. Hearts are home in this tie, and have found a renewed vigour and spirit with some good home results recently (other than a 4-0 defeat to Celtic). Their game away to Ross County was postponed at the weekend, but before that they had good home wins against Aberdeen and Dundee United. There are hopes that they have begun to pick the pieces of this season up and could spur on tomorrow with a victory over their arch-rivals. However, I'm not convinced they will iwn. They've a few personnel concerns for the game and also I favour Hibs this season. I've already explained inprevious picks how much I appreciate the work Pat Fenlon is doing with Hibs and although they've had a bad run of form lately, they did have a fantastic win against Celtic at the weekend, which will boost confidence. Furthermore, they should be able to welcome back Ryan McGivern and therefore be at full strength in terms of presonnel tomorrow. Therefore, I don't see any reason to justify why the odds on Hearts to win are so low, and therefore see Hibs +0.5AH as very generous odds. Yes, Hearts have a great record against Hibs at home in recent times, but it must be stressed that Hearts have been the better Edinburgh team in Scotland for quite a number of years now - but financial woes and other on the field problems have allowed Hibs to overtake them this season due to the great work of Pat Fenlon, and therefore I think the statistics are blinding the bookies' eyes for tomorrow's game. Low stakes pick all the same, because it's a fierce derby game and anything can happen. My pick Hibs +0.5AH with pinnacle at 1.88 odds (1/10 units)
Gavlar17
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd Hearts vs Hibernian I can't believe how the bookies have called this one. There looks to be serious value in backing Hibernian here at prices available upto 11/4. Hibs form away at Tynecastle is miserable, with their last win there through a Derek Riordan penalty in 2009 but there is a feeling of a bit of a power shift between the two Edinburgh teams at the moment. The Hibees are still hurting after being on the receiving end of a 5-1 mauling by their rivals in May and this group of players ate desperate to redeem themselves. Hearts are in financial disarray at the moment and arrive at this game missing Jamie Hammill, Ryan McGowan, Andrew Webster and there are rumours that Marius Zaliukas may also miss out, this would unquestionably be 4 starting 11 players. Obviously we have to take into account this is a derby and, realistically, anything can happen, but I can't help but think there is serious value on offer here. Hibs come here off the back of a good win against Celtic and with Leigh Griffiths and Eoin Doyle finding serious form this year, its difficult to see them not scoring. Recommended bets: 4 pts Hibs to win @ 11/4 BoyleSports 1 pt Hibs -1 @ 15/2 PaddyPower
BIG X
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd Hearts over 6.5 corners @ 2.00 Bet365 Hearts have covered this line in 5 out of their last 6 home games 7,9,7,10,8,3 Hibs have conceded at least 7 corners in 4 out of their last 6 away games 6,4,14,12,7,7 Hearts still managed to cover this line when beaten 4 nil by Celtic getting 7 corners. So even in a game they didn't dominate and didn't score they still produced lots of corners. In a local derby I expect them to take the game to Hibs and I think we should see at least 7 corners for Hearts in the process

Gavlar17
Re: Scottish Football > Jan 2nd - Jan 3rd All three bets winners. Stonewall penalty turned down, terrible tackle should have been red didn't even receive a yellow, another big game ref doing a solid job for law and order. To be fair Hearts should have nicked it. Hit the bar twice in addition to being robbed of that penalty. Hibs showed little intent and played for what they received 0-0 for most of the 90 minutes. Horrible game really but enjoyable from a betting perspective. Good call Yiddo, great win to follow a great write up :ok
