No significant team news that I've seen. It's not one for me, but it's hard to argue against this position. Droyslden actually did well at Boston for half an hour, leading and missing a pen but the collapse was swift, suggesting a side with very little spine, and there is generally a downbeat feel to things there. Chester have been a touch scratchy in recent games but have found the extra gear when it matters. Even factoring those things it's hard to see anything other than a big win. Darran
I have been told Worcester have covered their pitch so the prospects of me watching some football on Wednesday look pretty good. Sent from my HTC Desire S using PL Forum
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 It's looking reasonable for Boxing Day. The heaviest rain is today with only lighter showers tomorrow (apart from in the north-west) so I reckon even uncovered pitches will have a fighting chance. Darran
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 Chester v Droylsden Chester have only failed to win once at home (a draw) and Droylsden have only picked up two points away from home. Boston hammered them 5-1 in their last match and it will be a surprise if Chester fail to put a few past them. Paddy Power have got them at 17/10 on the -2 handicap and I think that is a decent price. Stalybridge v Altrincham The home side cost me my double at the weekend, but I am more than happy to oppose them again. Altrincham have plenty of goals in their team and they should be able to punish the home side. Also Altrincham's away form is very strong compared to their home form so I am happy to back them at 11/10 with BetVictor. Eastleigh v Salisbury I mentioned at the weekend I couldn't back Eastleigh away from home, but at home I am more than happy to as they have been very strong there. They have lost their last 3 games and one of those was when they hosted Welling and obviously Salisbury are above them in the table, but at 15/8 (BetVictor) I just think they are too big. Again it is a slightly risky play given the leaders have only lost once in their last ten league games, but at the price it is a risk I am happy to take as the Eastleigh squad is as leasat as strong as their opponents. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 Boston United at home to Corby Town (Evs BlueSQ, BetVics) The drifting price has drawn me in. Graham Drury hasn't had much time to work any magic but he'll get a reasonable Boston side fired up and that might be enough against a Corby defence that is relatively easy to get through. Corby won't have the same firepower as usual with Liam Hughes departed. That probably means Josh Moreman will get a more central role, but there isn't a lot of support around him and they may lose out if this comes to a straight shoot-out. HeadShot
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 I'm guessing not many of these games finish 0-0 BTTS as short as 2/5, goals prevalent in this league?

Pace is still there in the boardroom and the dugout. There have been unsubstantiated stories about the level of off-the-field commitment, though it seems fairly clear the budget has been shaved this season. I think it's just a case of them trying to find a new level after some seasons of over-achieving.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 Why do you care?Take advantage of the situation.Chester on a handicap is a gift Let me answer that - we care because knowledge is king, and it's more important down at this level than higher up the football food chain, where there is very little edge. To take advantage of a situation it helps to know where a team has come from and might be going to. Droylsden are not on it at the moment but who knows what's going to happen in a few weeks? A couple of signings and they might start to look like value again when they visit Solihull. The more you care, the more you win.
Darran
Re: England > Boxing Day > BlueSQ Bet North & South Dec 26 Was going to pretty much say the same as Ships to both questions. Chester could have had more than the 5 they did get today apparently.
