I am and I am actually going on Saturday. I've seen us once against histon and we were really bad. We played really well against guiseley in the 1st half last week and should have been more than 1 up. We then went down to 10 men in the 2nd half and not surprisingly a very strong guiseley dominated after that. I suspect though we would have got a point at least with 10 men. Sounds like we weren't too bad on Tuesday and were just beaten by a better team. I'm still undecided on how good staly have been but they may have been flattered a little. I probably won't have a bet on the game myself but I'm surprised we are as big as 3/1. I'd only recommend a small bet though if you did want to get involved. Sent from my HTC Desire S using PL Forum

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Sep 8 Havant & Waterlooville at home to Tonbridge Angels (Evs Bet365, BetVictor) I'm happy to catch a drifting price. Havant have rarely impressed so far, but for me it's only a question of blend - the personnel are there and it's just a case of Stuart Ritchie getting them to function. They were excellent with ten men in the second half against Hayes so there is nothing wrong with team spirit, and I wouldn't be surprised if that result - a 2-1 win - was something of a breakthrough moment for them. Tonbridge, winless, were pretty poor at Billericay, and though they deserve credit for fighting back from 3-1 down to 3-3 everything points to a side that is lacking in ideas and is pretty haphazard at the back. Altrincham away at Oxford City (19/10 Bet Fred) Huge credit for a spirited start from Oxford, beaten only by Halifax and Chester, but what this implies is that they are vulnerable to the better sides. I think Alty are one of those, despite some crashingly inept showings at the back. Fortunately, they are clicking, with Damien Reeves getting on the end of some superb attacking play, and Jake Moult really making a difference to the midfield. Man for man, they are better than Oxford and the price is pretty decent. Harrogate Town away at Histon (17/10 BetVictor) Histon have had a couple of solid home showings, but Harrogate are a different sort of threat to Worcester City, who drew 0-0 with Histon on Tuesday. I'm not Simon Weaver's biggest fan, but all the signs are that he has not only assembled a decent side but he's also capable of getting good performances out of them. With an away point at Gainsborough, and wins at Hinckley and Droylsden, Harrogate have just the set up for counter-attacking, and they should have some joy against Histon's young side. Bromley at home to Bath City (23/10 BetVictor) Very, very risky but the price is a little too far out for me. Bromley are a decent squad who perhaps lack direction from the bench, but an uptick in form might be coming. Nothing wrong with Bath's squad - better than Bromley's on paper - but they were light going into the Salisbury game, where they were second best and picked up a couple more injuries. Marlon Patterson is missing for Bromley, which is a worry, but I can't make Bromley anything like this price. There are some attractive short prices around this week at BetVictor and I've taken a 7/10 double with them. Halifax go to Hinckley United after a decent performance at Chester and they should get one over a side that hasn't scored in two at home. Bishop's Stortford - playing reasonably well - face a Vauxhall Motors who'll miss their captain Tom Hannigan and are on a run of three straight defeats. (Acca hunters can add Boreham Wood at 7/10 and Workington at 4/9)

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Sep 8 I dont think so. It shouldnt really effect the players that much if at all, its more a fans thing. If anything the players should want to give us something to cheer about. We have a small budget anyway so it wont be a case of having to let any players go to pay for another report. Its really frustrating as the council set up a task force and ended it only for them to want to start one up again and obviously the extra money is a blow to something that has already cost plenty and will cost plenty if we eventually get the go ahead. The longer the delay the worse it gets for us and in the long term if we didnt get the move back to Gloucester I doubt we will be playing Conference football. Like I say I doubt I will have a bet in the game, but I would have us at shorter than 3/1 if I was pricing the game up.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Sep 8 I agree re: Bromley. They have been very inconsistent so far this season from one half to the next but played well in beating Hornchurch 4-0 on Tuesday and the win will do their confidence the world of good. Bath are meant to have some injury worries so 21/10 for Broms looks worth a go for me but as a long term fan nothing would surprise me... K

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Sep 8 Colwyn Bay v Boston Both sides have had exactly the same starts to the season. They both won their first two and then followed that up by losing the next four. The crucial difference is that the home side have had some tough fixtures and have performed with credit. It has all gone wrong for Boston since they beat Histon 6-0 and they have been playing teams you would expect them to beat, like Hinckley. There were even suggestions that manager Jason Lee could be about to lose his job which would not be the biggest surprise in the world if their poor run continues. I think Bay are in the better shape at the moment and can gain their third win of the season now they face an easier side. BetVictor and Coral are best price at 13/10 on a home win. Oxford City v Altrincham Altrincham were the Naps last Saturday and the win was never in doubt as they stuffed Histon 5-0. They followed that up with a 4-2 win over Gainsborough in midweek where Damien Reeves was on fire, scoring all four. I don’t think either win is proof that they are going to be more consistent this season and the loss to Vauxhall Motors the other week was just the type of game they were losing last term. What is different now though is the front line is firing and I think that it will be very hard for Oxford to keep them quiet. To be fair to Oxford they have started the season well and their only defeats were to Chester and Halifax. I am still hopeful that Altrincham will be battling it out with those two at the top of the table this season and it’s games like these they need to start winning. The 13/8 (BetVictor, Stan James) looks worth taking to me.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Sep 8 Wish I had backed Gloucester myself as we were superb today, bar gifiting Staly a 2 goal lead. We may only have win in injury time but we were much the better team and the win was fully deserved. After gifting them a pen after 4 mins I thought it was a long afternoon and then some shocking defending gave them a 2nd, but we deserved to be level at half time. They got a third which although not great defending wasnt the gift the other two were. We played some great football and the whole team worked hard all afternoon. Hopefully we can play like that more often than not.
