Friday 11/02/2005 Wolverhampton 02:25 DAUNTED @ 5/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Kept striking gold at Southwell in first part of last year, winning five times in lowly company; easy to ignore poor run in selling hurdle earlier this week and failure over 2m on that track on last Flat start and weighted for a good run.

Re: A/W Selection Monday 14/02/2005 Lingfield 02:40 FRENCHMANS LODGE @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Inconsistent, sometimes keen and ultimately disappointing; has run well here in the past and one of his better efforts in an ordinary 5f maiden at the weekend, so will have his fans; however, a bit to do at these weights again. ==================================================== Lingfield 04:10 GLENDALE @ 5/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY String of consistent efforts over C&D this winter and nothing to choose between him and Super Dominion on their last two meetings; however, experienced apprentice knocking off weight and the fact his old rival has stall 14 two potential reasons to look his way this time. ==================================================== Wolverhampton 04:20 SIMPLY THE GUEST @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN All wins have been on fibresand, looking good in latest when coming from off strong pace stepped up to 1m3f at Southwell last week; drop back in distance on different surface grounds for taking him on. ==================================================== Wolverhampton 04:50 FAIR ALONG @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN C&D seller winner at New Year but has since proved suited by farther, giving gritty display to beat in-form solid yardstick over 1m3f on fibresand at Southwell last week; penalty wouldn´t necessarily halt him if coping with return to this trip.

Re: A/W Selection Wednesday 16/02/2005 Lingfield 01:20 RISK FREE @ 100/30 stake = 10 pts. WIN Multiple AW winner over the years but has become an increasingly frustrating character; outclassed his rivals in Banded company at Wolverhampton last month but two subsequent efforts (looked unlikely on both occasions) highlight how tricky he is to win with; jockey rides this track very well though and has to be on the shortlist. ================================================== == Lingfield 02:20 RONNIE'S LAD @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Been kept very busy of late and turned in improved performance over 1m2f here on Saturday (without usual cheekpieces); return to 7f shouldn´t be a problem and place prospects if reproducing that effort. ================================================== == Lingfield 03:50 BURGUNDY @ 8/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Multiple winner last year and rarely runs a bad race at this trip; tends to miss break but that´s failed to stop him recording win and placed form off similar marks over C&D already this year; appeals more than most.

Re: A/W Selection Thursday 17/02/2005 Southwell 02:15 FEAST OF ROMANCE @ 7/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Consistency itself this winter, rewarded with success in 7f seller here earlier in month; seemed to find drop to this trip against him when beaten favourite for Banded race here on Tuesday. ================================================== == Southwell 03:55 GAME GURU @ 7/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Has enjoyed plenty of AW over variety of trips and took step back in right direction when fourth in seller last week but still needs to raise his game.

Re: A/W Selection Friday 18/02/2005 Wolverhampton 01:25 BALLYGRIFFIN KID @ 5/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Triple Banded winner at this trip but showed himself an improved performer (eyeshield dispensed with) when scoring over 1m at Lingfield on Wednesday and reasonable to expect another bold bid provided he´s happy with cheekpieces. ================================================== == Wolverhampton 03:30 ACOMB @ 10/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Improved with every start for capable stable and showed the right attitude to make all over C&D on Saturday evening; however, stiffer task under penalty in this stronger grade.

Re: A/W Selection Saturday 19/02/2005 Wolverhampton 01:45 HEAT OF THE NIGHT @ 4/1 10 pts. WIN Didn´t have to be at her best to get off the mark over a slightly longer trip here last time and form has taken some knocks since; drop back in trip not certain to suit but ought to give her running on handicap debut. ================================================== == Wolverhampton 02:45 STARGEM @ 7/1 5 pts. EACH WAY

Five seconds to her name from just eight starts but doesn´t appearto be ungenuine; entitled to come on for recent Southwell third (first run for five months) but unproven on Polytrack and may be found wanting once more. ================================================ Wolverhampton 03:15 ACOMB @ 8/1 5 pts. EACH WAY Fine effort from the front to win here last weekend but unable to repeat the same tactics yesterday; has the pace to deal with the drop back to 7f but could help set the race up for a finisher.

Re: A/W Selection Monday 21/02/2005 Lingfield 02:45 KING AFTER @ 10/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Proven expensive to follow and tried over 1m2f+ in recent starts; unlikely he´s truly been getting home, including when handed a soft lead here last week under today´s jockey (just behind Selma); should run his race again but vulnerable to improvers now. ======================================================= Lingfield 03:55 WELSH WIND @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY

Notched second success over this C&D in seller on latest start for today´s capable rider and not the biggest surprise should he give another good account. ================================================== Lingfield 05:05 PEARSON GLEN @ 9/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Evidently not been the easiest to train, with a couple of lengthy absences to his name; better effort back on the Flat a week ago and entitled to have come on for that first run in going on three months; leading player despite a tricky draw. ================================================== Wolverhampton 04:45 WARLINGHAM @ 7/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Yet to win over this far but wouldn´t dismiss purely for that reason, as he could easily have accounted for Pharoah´s Gold over C&D latest had he not been short of room at a crucial stage; live claims on that bare form and yet 2lb better in with the winner this time.

Re: A/W Selection Sunday 27/02/2005 Wolverhampton 04:40 CLEVELAND WAY @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Notched third win on fibresand earlier this month over this trip but, although another fair effort there last time, has been below best on two previous runs on this surface and no easy task from 10 draw.

Re: A/W Selection Monday 28/02/2005 Lingfield 03:00 BINNION BAY @ 5/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN String of consistent efforts here this winter and looked an unlucky loser in a C&D handicap last week; visor will need to work a second time but better drawn this time as long as he traps and a leading player back down to the bottom level. ----------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 03:20 SORBIESHARRY @ 9/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Has struck some form of late and holds a couple of these on recent course wins, the latest gained with such authority that a 6lb penalty could easily be an insufficient anchor here; better drawn this time, too, so the one to beat. ----------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 04:50 SAVILE'S DELIGHT @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Well backed at Southwell last week and was caught in the dying strides over 6f; undeniably well handicapped at present and has the pace to be fully effective at this trip; leading contender.
