Re: A/W Selection Wednesday 16/03/2005 Wolverhampton 02:15 BARKING MAD @ 5/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Easy to back but showed the right attitude to beat Gallery Breeze (now 6lb worse off) in C&D claimer on latest start after a break; solid claims in the less competitive of the divisions. ----------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 04:10 SWEETWATER @ 3/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Won three times on the Flat in France and found her level again this winter since picked up from Martin Pipe; strong traveller who´s invariably ridden with patience and a leading player once more. ----------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 05:30 GASPING @ 9/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Respectable efforts in three Lingfield maidens the last five weeks or so and a leading player this time; drop in distance fine on her latest third.

Re: A/W Selection Thursday 17/03/2005 Southwell 01:50 MUQARRAR @ 7/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Has won two Banded events from last three starts, including over C&D in very modest contest last time; more to do under penalty in this stronger event. --------------------------------------------------------------- Southwell 04:20 HIAMOVI @ 5/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Won twice on Polytrack and ran well at Wolverhampton last weekend but handles this surface, stays this trip and no reason why he won´t go well under Kieren Fallon. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Southwell 05:00 SIMPLY THE GUEST @ 7/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Progressing well on AW at present and still unexposed over middle distances; wide draw no problem for style of racing and demands of this contest should play to strengths; big chance under penalty.

Re: A/W Selection Friday 18/03/2005 Lingfield 03:40 NAJAABA @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Done most of her winning around 1m on fibresand but made light of drop to sharp 7f round here to beat Boot ´N Toot last time; shaped as if this trip beyond her only previous try and may not confirm places with runner-up today. this is a fillies only race. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 04:20 DISTANT COUNTRY @ 9/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Dual 7f winner in 2003 but, although he hasn´t won since, he´s been running creditably for much of the winter at up to this trip; down in grade and Kieren Fallon in the saddle again so of obvious interest.

Re: A/W Selection Saturday 19/03/2005 Wolverhampton 01:05 JALOUHAR @ 8/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY At the top of his game at present and two solid efforts in similar events the last twice; has won here on Polytrack but suspicion that fibresand suits him better and others may prove stronger. --------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 02:25 HIDDEN DRAGON @ 9/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Tendency to hang left but useful sprinter who has a leading chance at these weights and in good heart of late; seems to go well for Jamie Spencer and very much one to be interested in. --------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 03:30 MOAYED @ 66/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY High-class handicapper on this surface at his best with an excellent turn of foot but star not been burning so brightly of late, stamina has to be a concern at this trip and is parked on wide outside. --------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 04:05 KATIYPOUR @ 9/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Revelation dropped in distance on Polytrack this year under today´s apprentice, first to this trip and then to 6f; way he produced strong late run to pip Rydal at Wolverhampton last week suggests return to 7f is not a concern and no surprise if he confirms that superiority and goes very close.

Re: A/W Selection Monday 21/03/2005 Lingfield 04:20 GLENDALE @ 8/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Found drop back into Banded company doing the trick over C&D last time, but yet to win a handicap and this draw no help. ----------------------------------------------------------- Southwell 04:30 WITCHELLE @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Facile winner over C&D last time and open to further progression after just three runs; handicapper doesn´t appear to have taken any chances though. ( fillies only race ) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Southwell 05:00 GHAILL FORCE @ 7/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Belied his 66/1 odds when second in modest 1m Kempton maiden on debut and won´t be inconvenienced by drop to 7f; open to further improvement and obvious claims if handling the surface. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 05:20 WILLHECONQUERTOO @ 6/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Speedy and has been running creditably nearly all winter; edging up the weights and tricky to dominate given this draw/line-up, but looks highly likely to be thereabouts.

Re: A/W Selection Tuesday 22/03/2005 Lingfield 02:30 GO FREE @ 10/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Had to come wide from outside draw when third in similar 1m2f event here last time but yet to win a race and no guarantee this longer trip will be any help. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Lingfield 03:40 PYRRHIC @ 9/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Did not get run of race when strong-finishing third in similar C&D event on just second start for this yard last time, but that showed he retains his ability and will not have to improve much on that to get off the mark today.

Re: A/W Selection Wednesday 23/03/2005 Lingfield 01:55 TEMPER TANTRUM @ 7/2 stake = 10 pts. WIN Creditable efforts from well of the pace when placed in handicaps here on last two starts and if getting gaps at right time should make another bold bid. ------------------------------------------------------------ Lingfield 02:30 CAYMAN COLONY @ 7/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Much better effort in C&D maidens when chasing home impressive Coeur Courageux on Friday; may be more to come but definitely needs to improve to go one better ------------------------------------------------------------ Lingfield 03:05 KALANI STAR @ 7/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Mainly creditable efforts at Wolverhampton and Southwell this winter; claimed out of Ian Semple´s yard after penultimate run and denied a clear passage first run for new stable upped to 9.5f last week; something to prove over new trip and is on a losing run.

Re: A/W Selection Thursday 24/03/2005 Wolverhampton 02:40 SORBIESHARRY @ 5/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN String of solid efforts this winter and finding some improvement, recently following good shows over C&D and extended 1m1f here with a narrow defeat over 1m4f at Southwell; capable of arriving on the scene to good effect again. -------------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 03:10 COMPTON BANKER @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Losing run extends over 15 months; first run at 1m when coming from the back for close third to Welsh Wind in Lingfield seller latest outing and wouldn´t have to do much more for a decent show today. -------------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 04:10 LOCKSTOCK @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Finding some form for imminent switch to turf but better handicapped on the AW and produced another solid effort in defeat over C&D last time when only nailed close home; undoubtedly a little better over farther than this, but must have a big shout even so. -------------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 04:40 SEATTLE ROBBER @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Running okay in maiden/claiming company this winter and solid each-way shout once again, though pretty exposed and a chance that one or two of these will improve past him. -------------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 05:40 JOOLS @ 11/4 stake = 10 pts. WIN Better treated on the AW than turf and latest third here was a fine effort considering 7f is well short of his ideal trip; usually improves for his first run back and can get in the shake-up.

Re: A/W Selection Saturday 26/03/2005 Wolverhampton 01:10 ORCHESTRATION @ 4/1 stake = 10 pts. WIN Always looked like overcoming a slow start from a tough draw over C&D a fortnight ago and nothing wrong with last weekend´s third (behind Al Awwam); extra furlong as much in his favour as that one´s, if not more so, so an obvious chance once more. -------------------------------------------------------------- Wolverhampton 01:40 GO FREE @ 12/1 stake = 5 pts. EACH WAY Consistent run of form since fitted with headgear and worth another try at this trip, fair first attempt though hampered in running at Lingfield latest; still a maiden with a bit to prove overall however.

Re: A/W Selection Friday 01/04/2005 Lingfield 02:45 STORM CHASE @ 9/2 stake = 10 pts. EACH WAY Has only won once since debut victory in 2001 but mainly a consistent sort up to middle distances here; should give another good account but that losing run means he´s not one to lump on.

EACH WAY Three sound efforts over C&D in 2005 (albeit in lower grade) and showed more resilience than has sometimes been the case when rallying here a week ago; more on his plate tonight but in good order and place prospects at least.

EACH WAY Fine servant down the years but unpredictable these days and continues to scupper chance with tardy starts; more cause for optimism when runner-up on the straight course yesterday but no guarantee he will reproduce it. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Southwell 04:40 DANAKIM @ 9/1 stake = 5pts. EACH WAY Mainly creditable efforts since wearing down his rivals in a similar contest over this C&D in February; responded well to first-time tongue strap at Lingfield latest and outside prospects back on his favoured surface.
