morlspin Posted June 5, 2012 Share Posted June 5, 2012 Hi All Some of you may know already, but My Dad died suddenly on the 12th May 2012 from an illness he never knew he had. He died peacefully in his sleep from Ischaemic Heart Disease which is very hard to detect whilst the person is alive, and at only 57 years old his life was taken far too soon. He was fit and well, enjoyed a night out on the friday and had no symptoms at all, I guess it was just his time to go. Since the funeral, my family and I have decided to do some charity work on behalf of The British Heart Foundation to help make a difference and if possible, save some lives and protect other families from situations like this. I personally am asking for you all to help in whatever way you can, whether thats a direct donation, sponsored event or by taking part in an idea that I have had. The idea I have is to donate 2% of any poker winnings in the next 2 months, from 10th June to 10th August 2012, it may not seem a lot, but if everyone takes part then we could raise quite a bit. On top of this I'll also be doing some cycle rides, 24hr poker sessions, and other charity events that we can think of, again, if anyone wants to take part, that would be awesome and very much appreciated.
