strungout
Not sure if this thread already exists, so maybe I need to be redirected, however… Adelaide United (AUS) v Pohang Steelers (KOR) Statistics place these teams at dead even with both teams sitting level at the top of group E having conceded 2 goals, and scoring 4 in the group stages. Adelaide will go into this game with the advantage of having had some time off while Pohang played there last game only a short time ago and looked terrible in there press interview yesterday where they appeared jetlagged and conceded that they would take a draw. No doubt the absence of Vidosic is a setback who will be missed however Adelaide united should have it within their ranks to take all points here. As a bit of insurance I am going to take Adelaide United Double Chance @ 1.44 on bet365 and put it in a double. Goodluck All J

wichuda
Re: AFC Champions League > 2012 Buriram United @ 3/1 are a very good price as they have there worst player Ekwala suspended, he is a liability at the back and there defence will be stronger without him. Buriram beat this team away and with the temperatures going to be over 34oC at Thunder Castle even with an evening kick off could see the Chinese team struggling especially as they have there Argentinian Conca out as well as there Brazilian Muriqui. The game is a must win for Buriram so should be open and over 4.5 goals at 15/4 is not a bad bet either

As you say, Buriram beat Guangzhou away from home and the home team have to win here - http://uk.soccerway.com/international/asia/afc-champions-league/2012/group-stage/group-h/ i was at guangzhou 2 weeks ago and present live at the game between them and jeonbuk where Guangzhou lost 1-3. all i can say is that, guangzhou is a really good team and dominated most of the 1st half. it was until their ace and superstar dario conca was subbed off that the team crumbled into one that was painful and pathetic to watch. the koreans took this opportunity and slotted in 3 goals to turn the tables around. now dario conca has been suspended from the team for unsportmanship behaviour toward his coach and will not be playing. buriram +1 at -117 will be my bet for today. buriram HAS to win and guangzhou is travelling away without their super star. what worries me is that lukas barrios has signed with guangzhou and i am not sure if he will play this game. i will wait for team news before making my bet. The strange thing is that the score was 1-1 for nearly all the second half, where I thought there would be a lot of goals, but the defences held out for a long time. I thought Guangzhou were the better teams overall and deserved to win. Buriram had more pace but looked a bit like headless chickens compared with the Chinese side. Big Alf
Re: AFC Champions League > 2012 I was on Buriram too, seemed to have a lot more pace than GZ but didn't seem to adapt to the shocking conditions as well, especially when the pitch started cutting up so badly. Brisbane Roar v Beijing Guon win @ 7/1 Bet 365 A dead rubber here so usually I wouldnt touch it but I really think there is a lot of value at this price and worth the punt. Both teams have had a poor campaign and I think tonights match is all going to come down to mentality. Brisbane started their current season over a year ago and have played just one game in almost a month since their victory in the A-League grand final. By their own admission they just want to get this one over with so they can have a rest. Beijing on the other hand have made a half decent start to their league season and never underestimate how important it is for Chinese teams to perform well against foreign competition. What Guoan lack in quality they will make up for in endevour and if they are able to take the lead I really can't see Brisbane being up for the fight to come back. They are not the most potent up front, but if Piao Cheng is given time and space to play they should create enough chances.

"Esfahan: Sepahan right-back Hassan Ashjari has been ruled out of Tuesday’s highly-anticipated showdown with domestic rivals Esteghlal in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League, while the Iran Pro League champions are sweating on the fitness of fellow defender Hassan Jafari.Esteghlal have also finished the season strongly and are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions since losing to Group A winners Al Jazira at the start of April. But Parviz Mazloomi will also be forced into a change in defence with Mehdei Amirabadi suspended after being sent-off in the 2-0 win over AFC Cup winners Nasaf in Uzbekistan last week as Esteghlal advanced to the last 16 " (taken from AFC official website). i will be going for a Under 2/2.5 @ 1.80 betinternet 6/10 0-0 & 1-1 scoreline @3/

MPLouis
Re: AFC Champions League > 2012 I saw a little of the Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad games and was impressed by the Saudi (home) teams domination of their opponents. Al-Hilal in particular look red hot and must have a decent chance of winning the trophy. Another interesting point about games involving top middle-eastern sides is the number of late goals you get. The Al Hilal game was 3-0 at half time, and finished 7-1. I've seen other similar scorelines, with lots of second half goals. It seems that in knockout games, the losing side can quickly lose its' discipline and organisation and if you have a winning side who are good on the counter attack, you can easily get a lot of late goals. Some of the top sides have top players from Brazil etc which gives them added potency.

MPLouis
Re: AFC Champions League > 2012 AFC Champions League Semi Final Second Leg Ulsan v Bunyodkor Wednesday 31st October 10.30 UK time Ulsan lead 3-1 from the first leg I saw the first leg which Ulsan won 3-1. Bunyodkor played quite well, but they couldn't handle Ulsan's quick attacks. In the first half, the Brazilian Rafinha was a constant threat and he scored the first goal for Ulsan. Bunyodkor have to attack tomorrow, and it looks likely to me that Ulsan will score a few goals on the counter if the first leg is anything to go by. When leading in the first leg, they showed no sign of settling for a narrow win, and could have scored more. Bunyodkor are normally quite defensive and 'underish', but they have to attack here. I think over 2.5 goals should be a fairly strong favourite here but there's not much between the odds, so backing the overs looks good value. Over 2.5 1.86 Pinnacle Result: Ulsan 2 Bunyodkor 0 (Ulsan won 5-1 on aggregate) Bet lost I saw most of it. A pretty low key game in front of a small crowd. Bunyodkor were quite impressive early on and went close a few times, but couldn't score. Ulsan took the lead early in the second half to start to put the tie beyond Bunyodkor. Ulsan later got a second, which meant Bunyodkor had to score four goals. Despite being effectively out of the tie, Bunyodkor attacked in the last 10 minutes but still couldn't score, while Ulsan threatened on the break. Although the bet lost, I think it was a good bet. I think there would have been more goals if Bunyodkor had scored (and they came close to doing so).
