Re: La Liga - 10-12 March Espanyol v Rayo Vallecano Sunday 11th March 11.00 Espanyol at home this season: 6/2/4 Rayo Vallecano away this season: 5/3/4 Aggregated home/away form: 10/5/9 Rayo's away form is similar to Espanyol's home form. Rayo are just above Espanyol in the table, and are in much better form, having won four out of their last five league games - they lost the other 1-0 to Real Madrid. In contrast, Espanyol have drawn two and lost three of their last five. Taking all the above factors into account, I think Rayo Vallencano should be slight favourites for this game and so I see them as good value at 3.7 (compared with 2.15 for Espanyol) Rayo Vallecano or Draw 1.8 Paddy Power

Re: La Liga - 10-12 March Real Betis vs. Real Madrid Double Chance, 1X at 2.70 Betcity [6000 roubles] Real Madrid, the victory over Rayo Vallecano was given very hard. It was evident that of Madrid player acted slow and could not operate at high speeds, and the hots from Rayo had plenty of opportunities to score. Betis, there is no doubt that team from Seville already sharpened knives on Real and ready to stick them in the fat body of Madrid. The gap to 10 points over Barcelona allows Real Madrid to feel comfortable. Real Madrid over the last 33 games won 15 vs Real Betis. But on "Benito Vilyamarin" in the last 16 games, the guests managed to win only 5 times. Defeat of the Levante in the last round should not be confused, because Betis team is unpredictable, is able to adjust to certain matches. So, there is no doubt that it is prepared to face Real Madrid. Today, hosts will take to the field without injury. Playing with three-strikers can give a lot of trouble pretty mediocre defense of Madrid. Of course, playing against Real Madrid and Barcelona - is a big risk, but in this game, it seems that this risk is justified. Madrid will be in theyr head to keep the game against CSKA Moscow, next week. So, the intrigue should be back in the Spanish championship after tonight's result from Seville.

Re: La Liga - 10-12 March Valencia vs Mallorca Valencia looks a solid side and kept 4 clean sheets home so far. Conceded 14 goals in 12 home games. Away side scored only 8 goals in 12 away games and scores mostly from set pieces and due to the errors of the opponents! Expect a solid home side capable of winning and staying very careful in defensive! home side to win to nil @ 2.60 with William Hill

Re: La Liga - 10-12 March

Didn't bet on Esp-Rayo' date=' but I just have to say it, Rayo are the most unpredicatable team in the league and extremely dangerous for any bet, be it for or against them.[/quote'] The trouble is, if they were clearly predictable, the odds would plummet.

Espanyol v Rayo Vallecano Sunday 11th March 11.00 Espanyol at home this season: 6/2/4 Rayo Vallecano away this season: 5/3/4 Aggregated home/away form: 10/5/9 Rayo's away form is similar to Espanyol's home form. Result: Espanyol 5 Rayo Vallecano 1 Bet lost I didn't see the game, but according to this report, Espanyol deserved the win - http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report/_/id/323792?cc=5739 When looking as past form, I think it's useful to remember that you are looking 'backwards' in time, and what you really want to know is what is going to happen in the future (i.e. the match in question). The important question is, "how much will past form affect form in the next match?"

Re: La Liga - 10-12 March

The trouble is' date=' if they were clearly predictable, the odds would plummet.[/quote'] True, but in Rayo's case they may be underrated because they are undependable and as such unpredictable. They're neither particularly strong at home, nor especially weak on the road. They'll go down 6-2 in Madrid, but will hold them 0-1 at home. They could've easily scored three or more in the Nou Camp, but didn't nearly threaten an abysmal Atletico or Villarreal as much. Of course these opponents are well above their weight, but it's similar with the lowies in the league. Draw and loss to poor away sides like Zaragoza and Gijon, but then again, they'll defeat strong home sides like Granada or Betis. They play with a lot of heart, so I do respect them, but I can't rely on them and if there is a pattern, I fail to see it.

Re: La Liga - 10-12 March Villareal - Getafe over 2.5 @ 2.20 pinnacle Villareal have scored and conceded in 4 of their last 5 games, as each of these 5 games have gone over, as well as 8 of their last 9 games. At home, they have scored in 4, and conceded in 3 of their last 5 games, with all 4 games they scored in, they managed to score at least two goals in them. Getafe have scored and conceded in 7 of their last 10 games, which includes 8 of their last 11 away games, where they allowed at least 2 goals in 5 of these 11 away games. Both sides are good chances to score here, and as both are near the relegation zone, then they know a win is much more important than a draw, so expect them to attack in looking for the win. Both sides have scored in their last 3 meetings in Villareal, while they have scored at least two goals in 6 of their last 7 home meetings with Getafe. Like both teams to play their part to send this over.
