Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Inter missing best defender Samuel and top scorer Milito, midfielders Stanković and Alvarez are out too. Newcomer Guarin is unavailable for this match. Offensive trio Sneijder, Pazzini, Forlan is main weapon for Inter. Bologna have no important absences...

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Juventus v Catania Juventus are unbeaten in Serie A. Having drawn the past 2 league games 0:0, they are going to be under a little pressure to get an early goal. No fresh injuries, only a suspenssion to Vidal in midlfield. Catania have built up some confidence lately, unbeated in three matches, beating Genoa 4-0 last time out at home. They are close to the middle of the table and can afford to play an open game of football. Should be a few goals in this one. I will bet in play as I haven't found decent odds in any of the markets available.

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Double @ 2.43 (3 Units) Betfair Palermo vs Lazio -- Over 2.5 @ 1.81 The 2nd best home team (after Udinese) vs the 3rd best away team (after Milan and Juve). Palermo have actually scored the most goals at home this season with 26 goals, followed by AC Milan with 24 goals. Palermo also have the 4th worst defense at home, and have conceded an average of almost 2 goals per game in 2012. As for Lazio, they are the second highest away scorers with 20 goals, right after Milan who have scored 21 goals on their travels. Secondly, looking purely on the stats, 6/11 home games for Palermo have ended Over 2.5 (5 of which ended Over 3.5) and 9/11 away games for Lazio have ended Over 2.5 (4 of which ended Over 3.5) Palermo's last 4 home games ended with 10 goals scored and 9 goals conceded: 2-1 vs Atlanta 2-0 vs Novara 5-3 vs Genoa 1-3 vs Napoli Lazio's last 4 away games ended with 6 goals scored and 9 goals conceded: 3-2 @ Genoa 0-3 @ Chievo 2-1 @ Inter 4-0 @ Siena Team news: Palermo welcome their inspirational captain Miccoli back who I've always rated highly. Only Armin Bacinovic is absent from Palermo. Lazio however, have A LOT of injuries. Rocchi, Cana, Mauri, Dias, Konko & Diakite are all missing for various reasons and so none of Lazio's back 4 will be from the regular starting 11 except maybe for Radu. And seeing how Palermo have scored the most goals at home this season, I just can't see them scoring less than 2 goals vs this Lazio defense. I also don't think they'll manage to keep a clean sheet against the likes of Klose and Hernandes. Genoa vs Chievo -- Over 1.5 @ 1.33 8/11 home games have ended Over 1.5 for Genoa, 4 of which ended Over 3.5. 9/12 away games have ended Over 1.5 for Chievo, 3 of which ended Over 3.5. Genoa have scored 19 and conceded 13 at home this season. While Chievo have scored 9 and conceded 21 on their travels. Last 4 home games, Genoa have scored 11 and conceded 7 with their last 3 home games all ending 3-2 against very strong teams: 3-2 vs Lazio 3-2 vs Napoli 3-2 vs Udinese 2-1 vs Bologna Last 4 away games, Chievo have scored 4 and conceded 7: 2-0 @ Chievo 1-2 @ Novara 2-2 @ Lecce 2-0 @ Roma Team News: Gilardino is still out for Genoa so we will likely see Sculli, Palacio (top scorer) & Jankovic at the front. Antonelli, Moretti & Bovo are all still injured but right-back Mesto is back from suspension. Chievo will be without Morero, Dainelli, Uribe & Sammarco. Chievo will know they will have to seek out goals considering the scoring capabilities of their opponents, while also knowing that Genoa have the overall worst defensive record in Serie A this season. It would probably be smarter to take Genoa to win @ 2.09, but I'd rather play it safe incase it ends 1-1 or if Chievo take a shock win (they won 1-3 in this fixture last season). I highly doubt the game will end 1-0 for Genoa. Overall odds @ 2.43 (3 Units) Betfair

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Udinese v Cagliari Udinese lost the influential midfielder Mauricio Isla and goal machine Antonio Di Natale to injuries last week and are not the same team without them. They have lost their last two league games and will remain fourth in the standings regardless of todays outcome. Cagliari have had some decent results in the past 5 league games and have take 7 out of 9 points in the last three. However, the visitors haven't won an away fixture since December. This could be a very tricky game to bet on, with unders looking very likely.. No bet in this one. Palermo v Lazio The home team will be bolstered by the return of their top scorer and captain Fabrizio Miccoli. Palermo are currently 8th in the standings and I really think they can achieve a higher league finish than that, starting with a win here tonight. Lazio on the other hand have plenty of injuries and suspensions for this game. Diakite and Abdoulay Konko are both serving one-match bans, with defenders Biava and Andre Dias both out injured, this could be a potential back line. Just three days ago they played and lost a home Europa League tie to Atletico Madrid.. Palermo win @ 2.30 is definately the value bet of the day. There could be a few goals in this one too. Genoa v Chievo Genoa have won their last four home league games, scoring three goals against Udinese, Napoli and Lazio. They lost they're last 2 league games away, without scoring. I think that in Rodrigo Palacio they have a decent goalscorer, with Jankovic and Sculli capable of finding the net also. Chievo have only 1 win in their last 5 league games, beating Novara. I think they will be fighting for their Serie A status in the coming weeks as things aren't looking going well and they are really struggling. Genoa win @ 1.90

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb I too like the home win in Palermo-Lazio. Lazio are facing an absolute crisis throughout the squad - particularly in defence. Dias and Stankevicius have been called up eventually but there are fitness concerns over the latter. Garrido, Scaloni and Zauri are the options for full-backs. If Stankevicius does not play then one of those 3 will have to play CB. A back four of Scaloni, Dias, Stankevicius, Zauri is not at all steady. The latter two are accidents waiting to happen and playing side by side is very worrying. Their midfield is not too damaged and should be competitive. Ledesma and Matuzalem will hold while Hernanes, Lulic and Gonzalez/Candreva can support Klose. The home side are at full-strength and will be able to get at that Lazio D. Home win and goals are likely IMO. As always, it does not seem likely that Palermo can keep a clean sheet and Lazio do have their attacking weapons. I think overs is the smarter play but over 2.5 is 1.75 while home win is 2.20 (bet365). I'll wait for the line-ups before deciding but I'm thinking along those lines.

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Looks like I've gotten the Genoa v Chievo match completely wrong. Genoa were outplayed in every way, seemed like watching an away team play, no urgency/quality anywhere in the team.. I made my pick based on recent results they achieved at home, beating quality sides, but right now I wish i didn't even get involved :$ Hopefully Palermo do the job and play to they're potential tonight..

Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Udinese vs. Cagliari I'm not seeing many goals in this match. Udinese played out a 0-0 mid-week and have been stuttering quite badly of late. After most of their matches going under all season, their last 7 have gone over 2.5 in the league. They are missing Di Natale who accounts for half of their goals. Beyond him there is not one player who has stepped up and they tend to share the goals around. They have their first-choice D available and they can be formidable. Asamoah returns to the squad but may not make it over Abdi to join Fernandes and Pazienza. Either way that is a very workmanlike midfield with very little craft. Armero and Basta will raid the wings as ever and will be vital to their attacking threat. Torje and Floro Flores have yet to play together extensively and neither are proven scorers. Their attacking threat on paper is not very potent. Guidolin would be absolutely thrilled to get a 1-0 win in this one. Cagliari themselves have stubborn traits in their play. No Conti for them in CM and Cossu is a doubt. Away from home their matches tend to stay under as they have a combative midfield 3 protecting a decent back 4. If Cossu doesn't make it then Ribeiro will play in the hole but will probably pull back to help the CM. That area of the pitch could be a real battle field in this match given the players taking part. Pinilla and Ibarbo are decent but will struggle to trouble a deep Udinese back 3. Cossu could cause the odd moment of panic if he plays but other than that I think Udinese will set up in a way that Cagliari will struggle to break down. They themselves would take a point so we could be in for a drab match. It's kind of a gut feeling, but I think the elements are there, or rather lacking, to take this under. Under 2 goals - 2.3 - 3 points - Bet365 On the previous reasoning about Palermo-Lazio I am taking: Over 2.5 goals - 5 points - 1.825 - Bet365

Both came through relatively easy. I didn't watch Udinese but it sounds like there was only a couple of good chances created. On seeing the line-up I did think I would have preferred to be on the home side but oh well. Lazio were absolutely dire tonight. Dias and Matuzalem are missing for the next match. Added to the injuries they could be a potential fade.
