Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Fantastic odds on Barrow at home. I know Grimsby have this magnificent run atm but it's a young team who must get tired or carried away at some point and get this reality check. Cold, Tuesday night up in Barrow in January is a perfect place to stop this run. Gonna do a bit more reading before I make any decisions though.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Initial thoughts were Fleetwood and Luton but further inspection reveals no value in either bet in my opinion... Detailed reasoning to follow tomorrow... if i can get +4.0 on the draw for Luton v Mansfield i may be persuaded to enter the market. Torquay in L2 are appealing if odds drift above 1.8... on a side not well done to my mate, after a bad day he sticks 1.25 on a 10 fold and wins £92.00!

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Have to say that 10/1 about Hinckley is a more than sporting price for the trip to Luton. It'll be Luton stiffs, and not dissimilar to the side that drew 0-0 at Hinckley last week, though there is a chance that with key home league games coming up against Mansfield on Wednesday night and Alfreton on Saturday, it will have a more youthful appearance. Given the circumstances, and Hinckley's decent portfolio of cup showings this season, tens at VCBet is not bad.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Agree with everything Ships says about Hinckley. I was always going to look to back Hinckley tomorrow, regardless of what happened yesterday against Staly. Luton had a tough game on Saturday and have another tough game on Wednesday so its very hard to see any first teamers turning up tomorrow night. As ships mentions to Hinckley have had some storming cup efforts this term as well and it looks a cracking chance for them to cause an upset. That 10/1 is huge its as short as 6s with Ladbrokes and you can also back them at 6/1 with Bet 365 in the draw no bet market.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 I'd be surprised if the team is anything like as 'strong' as the one which went to Hinckley on Wednesday night. That wasn't particularly strong but it did have Fleetwood, Willmott, Dance, JPK and Tyler in it. Those five are likely to be our bench on Wednesday if not in the team in the case of JPK. Aside from Ed who is a genuine reserve player I fully expect it to be just kids unless Brabs decides to give Amari 45 minutes as he's coming back from injury. Wednesday will definitely be the priority. I'm not taking it obviously but the 9/1 on Hinckley looks a decent enough price to me as I would expect it to be a youth/development team fixture now.

Even though the 10/1 with VC is now 9/1, if you split your stake been that and the draw @9/2 with BWIN, you can get 7.18/1 on the DNB option.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Paddy Power's 5/1 to qualify is another option because if they take it to penalties, with our record with penalties this season we should just walk off there and then and save ourselves from missing a load more :lol.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 As a Wimbledon supporter I love your penalties shootout record from last season! ;) Admin please excuse this tongue in cheel remark. On a more constructive note apart from Barrow I like the price on Bath at home to Alfreton. Judging by reports Bath aren't as bad as their results are and they are able to beat a fellow relegation candidate at home (Newport recently). Alfreton are awful away from home and they will be missing their first choice keeper through injury. I don't understand why they are bookies' favourites but will try to make use of it somehow.

Bath are the favs for the game. The first show of 6/5 wasnt tempting but the best of 6/4 now is a bit more attractive. It is true Alfreton have struggled away from home but they have drawn their last two away games and this game couldnt really be much bigger at the bottom of the table. Bath are now unbeaten at home in their last five. Like I say the 6/4 is probably just on the large side but given the importance of the game I might leave alone as the game has a bit of a draw feel about it.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Fixture: Forest Green Rovers v Wrexham Selection: Wrexham Strength: 7/10 Date: 24/01/2012 Bookmaker/Price: Coral/William Hill Evens (2.0) Reasoning: Wrexham lost 1 game all season away from home, averaging 1.77 games per game (2nd highest in league). Won 69% of games at away from home, conceding 0.62 goals per game away from home. Over half their away games have been clean sheets (54%) Current Form: W-D-L, (Goals F-A) Full: 6-0-0, (16-3) Home: 6-0-0, (16-3) Away: 4-2-0, (7-1) Wrexham and Fleetwood running away with this division and stats prove this. Wrexham have won their last 7 league games and are unbeaten in their last 16. Slightly concerning that they have only scored 7 goals in the last 6 away matches but scoring 16 in their last 6 games is reassuring reading. Forest Green Rovers have the 16th worst home record in the division and stats show from the first of the season they prefer to travel! 8th best away record in the league to date. They have only managed to keep 7% of their home games a clean sheet. Yet to win a game since December the 6th (06.12.2011) Current Form: W-D-L, (Goals F-A) Full: 1-2-3, (4-6) Home: 3-2-1, (11-7) Away: 2-2-2, (8-4) Only scored 1 goal in their last 5 games! Lost more games than won at home this season and yet to beat a top 7 side but not been beaten by a top 7 side. Due to current form and Wrexham’s dominance in this league, I cannot see anything else than a Wrexham away win or hard earned draw. Lack of clean sheets and failing to score in last 5 games points to a Wrexham win. Working fair odds out on basis of this season results I get the following odds: Home Win = 1.58 Draw = 3.37 Away Win = 5.4 Best odds available at posting are 2.0 (evens) at Coral or William Hill So there is value in this bet and should be snapped up at evens if available, in my opinion! Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Nice selection Banjo. Wrexham are doing amazingly well this season and I am sure they earned a good amount of cash to those who back them consistently. Somehow I still have this feeling (or pre-season misconception) that at some point they will slip and Fleetwood will win this league. Let's see what happens. Anyway i took Bath DNB to beat Alfreton @ 1.75 Most of my reasoning is above and I will also add that I took this bet a bit late as initially VC priced DNB at 1.95 which was massive value and despite what Addpea is saying initially Alfreton were the favourites but I think bookies got their heads around this fixture and fixed things before I took it. Anyway, 1.75 on DNB is still good value considering that Bath are able to beat relegation candidates and Alfreton won only one away fixture.

When Ships started this thread the price on Bath was 6/5 that was on Saturday night. Thus Bath were favs at the start. Maybe one or two bookies had Alfreton as favs but as far as I can tell Bath have always been the shorter price of the two teams on the best prices you could back the two teams at.

Seems a bit odd that he might play players tonight who will be on the bench on Wednesday. Still think the price is to big on Hinckley although the Luton team looks like it will be stronger than I had hoped.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Two of the bench on Wednesday night - Poku and McAllister - are cup tied. With AMS playing I doubt Fleetwood will. Willmott wasn't on the bench on Saturday neither were Ed, Osano and Lacey the only other senior players who played the first game. AMS' return is a big bonus. Paddy Power are 4/1 for him to score first which looks like a perfectly fair price to me.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25

True forgot about Poku and McAllister. So its looking like AMS' date=' Tyler in goal, four fringe players and the rest youth/devolpment players then?[/quote'] Questionable about Tyler. We could use Lewis Kidd from the youth team. Will be one or two more youth/development players than the other night perhaps but AMS is a definite starter. Charlie Henry's loan at Aldershot finishes today. I'm not sure if that means he's ours today or still theirs for today but if it's the former then he could well feature too. I will try and post our team and comments when I get it.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 And 4/1 on AMS proved to be good value. Tyler was MOM as he made some good stops. Nothing exceptional but he was off his line quickly a lot to seize any danger. Have to say I've been impressed with Hinckley over the two matches. Andre Gray looks a real player up front for them and with a bit more composure over the two matches it could have been them going through and not us. Perfect exercise for us though and fine tuned those who needed fine tuning ahead of Wednesday which bodes well.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Wrehxam @ 1.99 sbobetOne thing worries me a bit here, and that is mental effect that penalty exit in cup has made Wrehxam players a bit off. It was a brave performance against Championship side and quality in surely on Wrexham side today. Last game was again a tough one as Kettering who are in funny position due to off pitch problems, was probably hard game to get motivated on. 4-1 the win but from reports not really a confident performance, even manager said that nothing clicked.-FGR in tough position, winless in 2012 and last seven, off that they even failed scored in six.I believe Wrexham are the better of two teams and i surely give them at leat 50% to keep on winning.Grimsby -0.25 @ 1.99 sbobet1stly Barrow misses first goalie Hurst and Pearson did not impress, letting in 4 in some 160 minutes of football.2ndly - Hearn - this guy is crazy, 22 goals in 28, hattrick in last game, hattrick in first game against Barrow this seasonIf you mark out Hearn there are still Erding ,Makofo or Coulson waiting..Not an easy game by no means, but Grimsby should have just too much firepower - last game vs. Bath was a so-so game, asians were on -1, i was considering it, but left it alond to later se Grimsby won with 6-0

Hinckley are a strange side Kev. They clearly are capable of pulling of decent results but in general they seem to be poor and could easily go down if there are three to be relegated from the BSN.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 23-25 Fleetwood Town vs Braintree The fight between Wrecsam and Fletwood Town at the top of the Division is more than passionate. Both sides are great and have a huge desire of winning everything and letting maybe the direct games to decide which one of them will scare the other Play Off contenders. Fleetwood wasn't so good at home so far as it was on away games, but they are still the favorites here. When they won they made it 2 or more against mid - bottom sides. Braintree aren't a team to scare people when playing away, but they haven't lost a game without a fight. The defensive of Fleetwood is pretty good at home while the attack is on a high level. Seems that striker Vardy will join Crystal Palace from summer and that should boost the player's morale and maybe we can see some magic moments from him again. Braintree is not a great side when comes talking about defending letting in 52 goals, 5th in "bad defending tables". i think I will risk here more than usual and get an unusual for me AH. home -1.5 AH @ 2.20 with Pinnacle Sports
