2.50 Lingfield Piscean e/w 14/1 Bet365 Piscean is a talented horse when everything falls right for him. He will need a fast pace in this race which he should get and his fast finishing style will be well suited by Lingfield. He is much better on the all weather and returns here after a few runs on the turf. He is only a 1lb above his last winning mark of 93 but went close several times off marks of 97 and should run well here.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Dazzling Begum - Lingfield 12:10 Another amateur riders handicap, a poor contest that wont take much winning, all the horses are out of form but i think a big run might come from Dazzling Begum who gets blinkers back on and gets a first time tongue-strap also to try aid its cause. Finished last of 11 last time out, that was too bad to be true but interestingly on its only ever run at Lingfield on the AW, it was placed. It has not won on the AW since February 2010 but now it is 2 pounds lower than that success and this is Des Donovans first runner at Lingfield since last July. With all the headgear back on, it suggests to me that they are trying tomorrow and ill have a bet! WIN @ 10/1 Bet365 BOG

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th A real poor days racing to choose from but i'll side with the N/H flat race in the last at Southwell. Sole runner for trainer W.Greatrex and sole ride for jockey N.Fehily in this N/H flat race over 2m. Its first time on the track for this 4yr old gelding and he could be anything, he has entries for Tues / Wed & Sunday so he must be showing something and might be worth keeping an eye on over the next few days. The Champ is on the jolly and will be hard to beat but i'll take him on in the last race of the day. Southwell 3:30 - I shot the sheriff. 1pt win @ SP. But i didn't shoot the deputy.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Raystock has won twice over this course at 2miles,but has also unseated twice over this course and distance.Raystock really likes the going very soft ,it has never been placed in this class but this class is well within its reach. The trainer boast a nearlly 18% strike rate in the last 14 days,i think it is worth a note that it is up in distance it has had 7 runs at this course and seems to run its best races in small feilds ayr 13,35:cow

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 2.50 Lingfield Very decent handicap for a Tuesday on the AW. Five Star Junior has been a great servant over the years and ran a good race at Dundalk in a handicap didnt shape badly in a handicap back round here when caught wide staying on, although a career best required and at his age that is a worry but has been running too well to ignore currently as inform sprinters are usually worth following. Secret Witness ran a cracker in said listed event last time out to finish 2nd handicapper took a harsh view of that with a 6lb rise in the weights and will need a major career best now back in a handicap and doesnt win very often which is off putting despite good draw. Elna Bright like Five Star Junior needs a strong pace to chase to be seen to best effect and got that last time out, travelling strongly throughout the race and winning with great ease and a 5lb rise looks very lenient and new yard could eake yet more improvement out of this strong travelling sprinter who has placed off this mark before. 1pt win Elna Bright 5/1 Bet365

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 14:50 Lingfield Cochabamba Win (6,50) PaddyPower Cochabamba won her, debut run at a grade 4 race over course and distance. Since then, shes failed to cross the line first, against better company. Now she drops down a grade and after a decent 4th at this course 14 days ago, she might be able, to secure her first win, since july 2010. Cochabamba only faced a polytrack course once before. She seems to like the ground and it could, de what she needs to improve. Cochabamba recent form. 8-6-3-9-4 The jockey Fahy are booked, for the second run in a row. He showed good form at aw tracks, winning 15,38 % of his runs, whitin the last 14 days.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Ill side with the rank outsider in the 14.05 at Ayr. Has only won once in 9 starts and that was on his only previous visit to the track over 2m5f when the mud was flying and he did not look to be stopping so the extra 3f may suit. His jockey claims 5lb and in a race where a few have question marks against them he might be value. 1pt win Shooting Times - 14.05 Ayr (16/1 Bet 365).

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 2.50 lingfield NORVILLE - This gritty sprinter could be described as David Evans stable star, after taking a number a lingfield handicaps last winter which saw his rating rocket from 62 up to a high of 97 incredible improvement, and i dont think he's finished there, came back from a well earned break with a nice pipeopener 17 days ago and with the cosh taking 5lb off that lets him race on his favored surface on a decent mark and hopefully he can continue the improvement this winter. 1pt win Norville 22/1 vc bet

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 2.05 Ayr - 1pt win Easter Vic @ 11/2 (PP) Easter Vic's fitness has to be taken on trust, but I am of the opinion that even if she's not fully tuned up, can prove too strong for today's field. After a rather indifferent first 6 runs in his career under rules, she hit the jackpot when scoring over course and distance on soft ground back in March. She won by 3 1/2l with another 19 lengths back to the third. Managed to continue this when a staying on 10l second over 2f shorter at Newcastle in a race won by Sam Patch. She showed her stamina here, and it probably wasn't quite enough of a test. She returned to the same track over the full 3 miles next time, but was run down late on by Daasij - going down by just over a length. That horse has won both of his starts since, so it was no disgrace going down narrowly to him considering he is 29lbs higher in the handicap now. She was hiked up to a mark of 102 after that run, and competed in a relatively hot race in comparison to today. This was also at Ayr, and she proved the conditions here were no problem when 3rd. This was a class 2 mares hurdle and was won by a very progressive 120 rated horse. My selection was only beaten 10l and it was an effort that, if reproduced, can be good enough today. She's rightly been dropped 7lbs since which obviously bodes well, and should be capable off this mark with Alexander Voy's 5lb claim. Another Miracle, while interesting, looks too short given this will really test his stamina after a lengthy absence, and Ballycarron Lad can get outpaced in races which has got to be a concern. He looked well held over fences at Carlisle but the leaders fell in a hole which allowed him to sweep past them. That's unlikely to happen today over hurdles, and it may not be worth taking the risk on him. So I feel my selection has a top chance if ready to go of taking this. Conditions are bang on, and she can have too much for these off this mark.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 2:50 Lingfield - Piscean - 1pt @ 11/1 (VC) This is a cracking race for a Tuesday on the all-weather and Piscean looks capable of bouncing back to his best now that he's returned to his favoured surface at a track that suits him perfectly. This often fast-finishing 6-year-old has only run on 3 occasions during the flat season due to having had a few problems throughout the year according to his trainer but he shaped well enough on his final start at Doncaster when completely unfancied in a big-field 5f sprint just over five weeks ago. With the pace likely to be very strong today, there's no reason why he can't run a big race off an attractive handicap mark of 94 - 1lb higher than when scoring impressively over 6f at Wolverhampton just over a year ago. Piscean has also won on 2 of his 3 starts at this track and was finishing as fast as anything when coming home a 2-length 5th of 11 on his only attempt at 6f around here. That was off a 3lb higher mark in which they didn't go too quick early on and that just doesn't suit him usually, as he needs an end-to-end gallop in order to be seen at his best over both 5f and 6f. Piscean is also fresher than most at this time of year and that's bound to stand him in good stead. His trainer reports that "he's in very good form and I am hopeful because I know how fit he is at the moment". Now I know there's little point in taking much out of that but at least it's positive and Tom Keddy sees fit to book Jimmy Fortune, something which has only happened a couple of times before. Fortune is one of my favourite jockeys and he's on board this fellow for the first time. With a bit of luck in-running, they'll be finishing very fast to be in with a chance at the end and overall, 11/1 is a very big price (was 16's earlier). Despite missing a bigger price, I think he should be much shorter than this and I'll have another medium sized win bet due to the price. He's a risky selection but should get involved.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Dazzling Valentine - 2.15 Lin (0.5ew 20-1 BET365 BOG) Very competitive-looking handicap with no less than four last time out winners. However, I'm going to take a shot on a filly who is having her first run at 12f. In her last run she found 14f too far, but she has only run twice at 10f on turf, and I think 12f on the A-W might well be her trip. Both her wins have come on polytrack (including one at Lingfield), and Amy Baker has won on her before. Anyhow, at 20-1 she seems worth an e-w punt.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th DrawnFromThePast - 1.10 Lingfield This horse has run in similar contests on it's last two times out. On it's penultimate start it was third to a horse that it's running against today, Deerslayer. It also won 2 races over 5 furlongs at wolverhampton in quick succession last year in Late September/Early October. So i think it should have a good chance in this company. DrawnFromThePast win @ 100/30 Ladbrokes

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Lay Deerslayer 1pt , recently has switched stables and ran poorly dispite running off the back of a string of previous good runs and results , in the class and quality of the feild today he doesnt stand a chance with the likes of le toreador and drawnfrom the past . i would back le toreador but i just worry weather he will pick up dispite the drop in class as he has failed in these given oportunitys before . 1pt deerslayer lay @ 9/2 stanjames , lingfeild 1:10

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 2.50 Lingfield: Piscean 1pt win @ 10/1 Ladbrokes Sorry to be on the same as a couple others in here, but had a good look at this race and feel this horse is the standout at the prices. Had a great winning spell on the all weather last autumn/winter culminating in a cosy victory over this trip at Wolves. Has had three runs back after a six month break on the turf this autumn and all have been relatively disappointing, however back on the polytrack today you would have to give this horse a big shout from only 1lb higher than that Wolves win, drawn well and with Jimmy Fortune looking a positive booking. 10/1 on offer looks generous IMO.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 1:55 Southwell: Commemorate 1pt win 2/1 Ladbrokes A risk even at these odds as Commemorate has not jumped a hurdle in public, however John Ferguson has made a cracking start this season with the horses he owns and trains. Commemorate ran to a decent level in France, has Saddler's Wells in his pedigree and is related to several useful jumpers. If Commemorate is of a similar standard to those who have run so far for the yard then he could go close here.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th Ayr off, so... 2.50 Lingfield - 1pt win Capone @ 6/1 (Ladbrokes) All weather specialist who ran a good race over 7f last time in a race that wasn't really run to suit. A fast-paced 6f suits ideally and he looks likely to get that today. Clearly in good heart, and has only been out of the frame twice on the artificial surface. Prior to his latest run, he ran well twice on turf which bodes well as he's much more at home here. He's back in a handicap, well drawn, and has a decent record at Lingfield. Shane Kelly goes for this one ride, and he's been well backed early on.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 1.55 Southwell Toto Skylachy ran well lto without troubling the principles. Given a very quiet ride that day and has found an easier opportunity here. With that run under his belt he could have the expeirience to win this with the main danger being the Feruson newcomer. Betting suggests that that horse is one to watch and although their horses are to be feared I just feel the expreience could be vital and that Toto Skylachy may well win. 1 Pt win 9/2 Hills

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th 155 Southwell: Harry Le Fise Lake 1pt 9/2 Hills/Lads Agree with Andy that Toto Skyllachy was given a very quiet ride last time and made no real effort to win the contest and should be more prominent here but just as promosing was the Hobbs horse Harry Le Fise Lake at Kempton, he was leading and going ok when coming down in Darlans race and this is a weaker race. If he's got over that he could trouble the fav who is making his debut over hurdles. The stable are going well and expect a big run.

Re: BBOTD Tuesday 29th SIOUX CITY SUE 12.40 Lingfield. 1 point win. Shown little in 3 runs to date, but now goes handicapping and should show improvement. Emily Jones booked which is always a good sign in these ladies' races, so with the trip and surface not a concern and the price looking very big, I'd be a player. Should go each way, but need the points for the comp so will go for the win. 20/1 Bet365 BOG
