BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October

Recommended Posts

Richard Johnson and Tim Vaughan are just on absolute fire at the moment and i am going to stick with them tomorrow. I think Johnson has had 6 winners and 2 seconds from his last 10 rides, is on absolute fire. Saint Are - Aintree 2:35 Very interesting horse here and if back to its best will romp this field i would imagine. This is a Grade 3 race but he won a Grade 1 at 33/1 here at Aintree in the novices hurdle back in April, winning by 4 lengths in the process. This horse is 100% at the track and should love being back at this venue. With the way the stable are at the moment i think the 4/1 is good value in this small field. WIN @ 4/1 Paddypower BOG

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October Aintree 14:35 Astracad Win (4,50) Bet365 The horse won its first race of the season, when beating competitors in a lower grade but on the same distance and going a month ago. He raced five times on this distance, winning three of them. There are some tuff horses in this field, but he previous won agains others at this level. Actracads recent form. 8-6-6-0-1 The jockey Twiston-Davies gets his 5th race whit Actracad. Together they won two. Twiston-Davies are in great form at the moment. He won 18,75 % of his runs in the last 14 days.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October BALLYVESEY 2.50 Wincanton. 1 point win. In decent form, and although needs to find a bit to beat Gordon, he is capable of finding a little improvement and does have a more experienced jockey, which could make all the difference. Handicapper puts him up a pound for coming 2nd, but would have every chance at the weights if putting it all in. Trip and ground not a concern and appears to jump well enough & Peter Bowen in fair form, so should run a big race. 4/1 Bet365 BOG

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October 4.00 Wincanton - Orion Express 1pt win 6/1 victor chandler Susan has 3 at aintree but this is the course she does well at. Her stats so far at course for hurdlers read 2/9 +2.50 and 1/3 this year +1.50 Quinlan rides today and is 4/28 +0.5 in hurdle races for yard and has 2 wins on board. Selection has climbed back down to a mark of 95 , its last winning mark when successful at course ( quinlan claimed 5 then) and jockey takes off another 3lb so only 2lbs higher. Seems to prefer stamina trips and 2m6 looks preffered so I'm thinking with trainer sending It here for first time since its win it looks primed to win

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October Wincanton 2.50 Drybrook Bedouin win - 14/1 Lads Impressive winner in April, but pulled up either side of that run. Still unexposed though and Daryl Jackob has been booked, so maybe he is expected to do better today. Trip, going and track will suit and gets fair bit of weight from the main principals.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October W2.15 January 0.5pt E/W 28/1 Stan James If you excuse some recent moderate performances, this horse has the form in the book to win off this mark back at a c&d where it is a previous winner. Arguably the best 7lb claimer around is in the saddle and due to those recent efforts, the horse is now on a winning mark again. There's been a little money around for it which perhaps suggests that the horse is expected to step up on those recent efforts and the price certainly looks too big if the horse is on a going day.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October 250 Wincanton: Templer EW (15/2 Betfred) Been very consistant all season and although was only 6th last time out he was again running to the line and this type of trip is what he wants. He's a course winner and wont mind if the ground dries out even more. Matt Griffiths takes a handy 5lbs off his back and he has won the horse before, looks a very solid EW bet to me.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October Fredo 3.10 Aintree. 0.5 points each way. Back over hurdles today, and although I'm quite sure it's to get a run into him, I still think he has chances to go close today. Trip and ground's fine and handicapper puts him in off 130 which also gives him claims. Big price and worth a bet. 20/1 Bet365 (bog)

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October 4:55 Aintree - Royal Guardsman - Back Won really eye-catchingly on debut and comes from a yard renowned for their bumper horses and he looks like he could be another that they could target towards the Cheltenham bumper. Miles clear of the field in the betting for this and has a big chance 1pt win @ Evens Paddy Power BOG

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October 3.45 Galway King Ali 14/1 e/w Boylesports This horse looks to have a solid each way chance in this race today. He often runs well at this track and the drop back in trip here should suit. He ran a cracker at Galway back in July to finish 3rd off this mark. Claimer not on today but he should get more assistance in the saddle from his jockey today who has rode him once before. He has won on heavy ground in the past so the ground should pose no problems to him.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October Sole runner for trainer Mrs Sue Smith and Sole ride for her jockey Mr Henry Oliver. Sue Smith's 5yr old gelding was 2nd last time out OK beat it a fair bit behind the winner, but he must be doing something at home for her to bring him along today. He's only had the 2 runs and after a nice break he could be anything coming to Aintree a fresh horse. It would be no shock seeing his one go in at a great price. Aintree 4:55 - Highrate. 0/5 e/w bet 50/1 - Bet356 & Stanjames + Sportingbet. Enjoy your Sunday.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd of October 4:55 Swinging Sultan @ Aintree - Was very unlucky on debut when beaten a head in the last strides at Market Rasen.Ran on good to saoft ground that day and the better ground today could help.Jockey James Reveley has a 50% strike rate in national hunt flat races this season so far winning one of the two he has ridden in. 1pt win bet @ 7/1 Blue Sq
