-Blackadder-
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Barcelona are ridiculously short, they aren't the best starters usually and Villarreal are a very good side. I expect them to win but 1.3 is a joke. I'm considering Bilbao at home to Vallecano but they haven't really got going yet under Bielsa so I don't think I'll take it. I don't see Real slipping up against Zaragoza, they'll probably win by a couple. 2 or 3 exact goals seems good here, it shouldn't be too close but I doubt Real will go goal crazy. Zaragoza v Madrid: 2 or 3 goals @ 2.1 4/10 bet365
Tyler
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Going for a couple in the same games as you. Stakes low this weekend for obvious reasons but quietly confident can pick a few winners to get the seaon started. - 4pts Athletic Bilbao -1AH (vs. Rayo Vallecano) @ 2.05 [stanJames] Happy to be on the home side here early doors against the troubled-newly-promoted Vallecano. They have been plagued with off-the-field problems for a while now and a few of their players are still waiting to be paid. I am not entirely sure how they will line up tomorrow but I do know that Bilbao have done a great job in keeping their key players this window and I expect Llorente, Munian and Javi Martinez to start strongly this season. There are questions over whether Argentinian coach Bielsa is the right man for the job but I think he can get his side off to a good start with a comfortable victory at the fortress which is the San Mames stadium. Cover on a narrow margin of victory and odds of better than EVS on a bigger win is something I'm willing to take on. Home win for me. - 3pts Real Zaragoza vs. Real Madrid -1.5 @ 1.875 [bet365] Tentative bet here. Whilst I don't think Zaragoza will cause too many problems for Real Madrid, I am not sure how quickly Mourinho will want his side to come out of the blocks. Despite losing to Barcelona in the Spanish Cup, I thought they played some pretty good football and dominated proceedings for some long spells in both legs. That kind of form should see them go well this season and I like the signings they've made. I don't think Marcelo is that bad at LB but Coentrao is a good addition to the squad. Zaragoza on the other hand are another side who are suffering from problems behind the scenes. They also lost all of their pre-season friendlies which doesn't bode well for them at all. I think Mourinho's men can take this one without too much fuss.

I havn't followed closely the starting line-ups of the other teams from today but I guess you have some more gaps in them. Pifce
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Hello there, I'm new in this betting forum. I'm wondering is there any Spanish friends with more knowledge who can give us some thoughts.. One match that caught my eye was Getafe vs Levante.. From the last seasons matches and results i rate these 2 teams quite equal in quality.. I dont know much about these 2 teams pre-season and transfer news, but as i see Getafe has lost 2 important players Manu and Parejo and Getafe also lost last 3 pre-season friendly matches, scoring only 1 single goal. In my opinion Getafe to win for 1.79 is way to low and Levante @2.14 for x2 represents some value. Would be great to hear some other's thoughts about this match. jbolt1
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Hi mates, Let it go for tomorrow in La liga, At. Bilbao - Rayo Vallecano – Atl. Bilbao@1,57 Atl. Madrid - Osasuna – Atl. Madrid@1,57 Mallorca - Espanyol - two teams score - NO@1,91 Stake 3/10 Simply, Bilbao do it easy in europa ligue, new trainer Bielsa gives new face to bilbao. Rayo vallecano comes from 2ºdivision, poor team, don´t think to beat bilbao. Atl. Madrid, same as Bilbao, very strong at de moment, playing in vicente claderon, much stronger than Osasuna have sold many good players, pandiani, caamuñas... very good in defense but atl. madrid can wins easy Espanyol, a rude away team, is very dificult to make him goals, and they have sold osvaldo, pichichi last year for the team. Think 2 teams will not score
jbolt1
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Also Sevilla - Málaga = Malaga draw no [email protected] stake 5/10 great bet for me. New Jeque Al-thani had spend lot of money in new and good players, Van Nistelrooy, Cazorla, JoaquÃn, Toulalan, Bounanotte.... Batista will not play, but rondon is in good form to suply him In the other side, Sevilla has been out of europa ligue few days by hannover, not good times for Sevilla, Fredy kanoute not in good form, and less moral... :drums

Levante no plays caicedo, the star of this team last year... I think levante can´t do very important thing against this getafe. good luck
Feduloff
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August FC Sevilla vs Malaga Sevilla exited the Europa League on Thursday after a 1-1 draw at home to Hannover saw them go out 3-2 on aggregate and will have only three days to rest. Malaga, who were impressive in pre-season, will hope to carry their friendly form into the League. Bin Nasser Al-Thani, Malaga's owner since last year, has made several new acquisitions this summer that include big names like Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Jeremy Toulalan, Santi Cazorla and Joaquin. Málaga misses Baptista but their place will probably be occupied by Cazorla. Málaga has been the first team in start the preseason and has overwhelming all their opponents, showing a powerfull attack and a solid defense. Great posibilities against a tired team. I surprise these odds, bookies are underestimating clearly Malaga. Its new and very strong team 2X 1.9 or LAY FC Sevilla

kevpar
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August A MADRID V OSASUNA - A madrid have impressed me with there new look side with good results pre-season and in the Europa league. I fully expect them to get out the traps with a 2-0 maybe 3-1 win against a new look Osasuna. A Madrid aim is a top four finish and they will look to get off to the best possible start at home today. I have taken them at -1 asian 2.3 with BET365. :hope
ValueHunter
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August Sevilla v Malaga I just found valuable pick that worth a small punt in my opinion. Malaga -0.25 @3.00 with bet365. No need to mention about the revolution in the Andalusian club who do not hide their ambitions to finish top 4. They strenghtened their defense and have plenty of options up-front in the likes of Rondon, Nistelrooy and Baptista. Midfield also looks impressive. Malaga did more than well in their pre-season fixtures winning 8 out of 9 if I remember right. This of course is not a guarantee for a good start in La Liga but I think due to the intensive preparation Malaga will enter the season in a good form. Sevilla were knocked out of Europa League by German Hannover 96 and seems like they do not have the best start once again. We remember that one year ago they were eliminated from the CL at pretty much the same time and their following performance in La Liga wasn't that great. They managed to finish 5th in the end and still are a decent side having top players like Kanoute, Navas and Cacares. That's why I will take Malaga -0.25 which returns half of my stake in case of draw and still has plenty of value in it.
-Blackadder-
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August I agree with your views on Barca. But I won't be opposing them. :) Why wouldn't you just back Madrid on the asian handicap? They are 1.88 to win by 2 goals or more with Betfair at the moment. I wouldn't rule out a heavy Madrid victory as Zaragoza can be a real mess at the back and Mourinho's team have looked very impressive pre-season. Neither will I:D. I have a horrible feeling the odds this season on Barca will be even lower than usual - for example, they're 1.4 at home against Milan in the CL group stage with Hills. Real pity, I made some decent profit backing them against big teams, they really raise their game and their best performances seem to be against other top sides (5-0 v Madrid, the CL final for example). I decided to back Madrid outright 1.28 and (sorry for aftertiming) doubled it with Utd at home to Arsenal, about 2.0 overall. Didn't take Madrid -1 as they're away and if they're winning 1-0 late on I see them holding out for the win.
Ad_87
Re: Spain - La Liga - 27-29 August I've decided to back the Real Madrid clean sheet at 5/6 with Bet365 I expect Real to dominate possession and capitalize on the debt ridden Zaragoza. I simply can't see how a team that struggled for goals last season with a squad further depleted over the summer can compete with a Real Madrid with a point to prove and a strengthened back line, the area that needed to improve in order to compete with Barcelona. I find this at 5/6 the value bet in this game. :hope

Malaga seem to have spent well this summer, have a decent manager on board and are somewhat in form, while the opposite can be said of Sevilla, however having said that, with players like Kanoute and navas they have the skilled players to turn the tide of the game. In summary I'll take Malaga or draw at 4/6. Small stakes. Any thoughts?
