After winter break, in the UPL was played ony one round. Obolon showed a good display away losing by 0-1 in stoppage time to very strong Metalist Kharkov. Metalist Kharkov, very well known team for us, since they are most prolific team (goals scored) in this season of Europa League. Oleksandriya during break changed half of team, losing important players and substituted the coach (now at Karpaty Lyov). In the previous round they've lost a crucial 0-1 at home to relegation candidate Volyn. This game for both its a kind of death game. Still, I believe in contrast with the visitors, Obolon players look much more determined to fight for survival. At home, Obolon hasnt managed to win a game. A month ago, before the game has been heavy snowfall, and the field for some reason was not sheltered protective film. In the end, after it cleared, it was like a plowed garden. Of course, in such a mess it was only possible to break the legs, and the game was canceled. According to regulations, the owners had to deduct a technical defeat, but the rules were written not for everyone, and Tavria succeeded replay :) At the weekend, "metallurgists" have a key game of the season with Karpaty Lyiv. This is a cup semi-final, and if the Donetsk players to win, it will go to the finals and if successful scenario (if Shakhtar win in Lutsk) will produce a ticket to the League of Europe easily, where they no longer were in history! The team is fully focusing to play the Cup, the championship than the butt, because a championship to get into LE from Metallurg ghostly chances. That's because of fatigue players the basic composition, the management team and the coaching staff decided to.. "... send in Simferopol, the players of the youth!" Simferopol can do it to Europa only through the championship. While the team is in 6th place, and before the fifth European Cup place, only two points separates. Victory in this game will get around and catch up with Arsenal Kiev and Dnepr, but the joy of this is not a lot, because Tavria will have a home match against Vorskla where crimeans may also rely on three points, but in the final round scores should not wait, because will have a trip to Kiev to play with Dynamo. Of course, Dynamo will need points, but everything will depend on the next round, where Dynamo travel to Lugansk. Loss of points is quite possible, so that, in this scenario Tavria able to profit points in Kiev last round. It is likely that additional indicators will have to look at equality of points, and then enter it in the goal difference. Here not the best Tavria!! So that today it is necessary not just to win, but do it.. BIG! So, a good luck just floats into the hands of Tavria today. Maybe this is not surprising, as coaches crimean Tavria Simferopol, Semen Altman, who a few years ago trained Metalurg Donetsk with good results.
