They also see the draw and who they are playing in the next round if they are the better (and stronger) player who can win.......................................... but can choose otherwise and not to qualify to the next round.  Of course the monetary reward must be better than what they can make playing in the next round!!!!

Kristina Mladenovic to beat Tessah Andrianjafitrimo at 1.87 with Pinnacle
Well, if this fails then it will fail spectacularly and for obvious reasons, but I think Mladenovic is finally where she should be odds-wise and not a favourite like against many of the players she's recently lost to. She wasn't playing that poorly in those matches, but now she's dropping down by a level again in terms of opposition and it has that French derby feel to it as well. Tessah is actually a lucky loser here and her qualifying run was awful, so hopefully that counts for something as well. I was expecting Mladenovic to be like 1.53 and that would be untouchable, but I can't resist the temptation at 1.87.

I think I was trying to say that he probably looks up to where Zverev is, at a similar age.  But no big deal. Baez and Fognini need to get into gear ?

Let's face it - Baez should be a big favorite if he's up for it and he's definitely better on clay than Otte, much better when on song. At the same time, he's played so much tennis during the clay court season that he's bound to be really tired for the French Open if he goes far in Lyon. I think that he shouldn't be playing this for his own sake, but he does give off those Schwartzman vibes of always trying. Good luck!

I think there is value in Baez, because he has won 9 of his last 10 matches. Won 5 in Estoril winning tournament against very good players. Won 3 of 4 in Italian open and 1 match here. Anyone winning 9 of 10 is on a seriously good streak (especially in tennis), where even having a reasonable positive win record is so difficult. I think he is 15 and 5 this year on clay. I will go quite a large bet on Baez and de Minaur as a double today

    FRENCH OPEN QUALIFYING:
    I find these times between main tournaments quite tricky. French open qualifying is difficult. It's simple, lower ranked players are more inconsistent. I think the trick to winning here is to find players that have just missed making it into the main draw. You need  a source of information to make a 1st selection of possible picks. So look at something  like this;
    https://www.atptour.com/en/rankings/singles?rankDate=2022-5-16&countryCode=all&rankRange=101-200
and find those players ranked 100 to 165 that are not automatically in the main draw. These are the best of the rest.
SO you take a guy like Fernando Verdasco playing Damir Dzumhur.
Verdasco ranked 103 and Dzumhur ranked 160, yet Verdasco is at 1.8 and Dzumhur at 1.9 . For me, Verdasco is great value based on being 57 spots higher in the rankings. I don't particularly like him (abusing the ball kids), but I think he wins.
Paul Jubb (ranked 266) versus Christopher Eubanks ranked 156, yet Eubanks is almost at the same price, and on bet365 Eubanks is a the underdog at 1.9 . Eubanks for me here.
My 3rd bet here is Andrej Martin to beat Luca Nardi. Martin up 44 places in the rankings to a position of 130, while Nardi is ranked at 200. Yet Nardi is a big favorite, which really does not make much sense.
I'll take all 3 as small stake singles tomorrow, and as a (smaller stake) treble.
I didn't look at the WTA rankings but you can do similar.
    ATP GENEVA
If Fognini half shows up he wipes Kokkinakis off the court. Fognini is just one of those crazy talented players ...  I call them showbinkies! Hitting that off the charts incredible shot, is sometimes more important than winning (to them). Last tournament he lost to Sinner, but for a reasonable period he just hit the ball incredibly. Winners from everywhere. He's just gotta be focused for 90 minutes and this match is done. Kokkinakis simply can't live with him.
    ATP LYON
De Minaur is going to beat Humbert. A perfect style matchup for him. Essentially get 90 minutes of match practice against an opponent that can't beat you. Not so crazy about the odds of 1.4 on De Minaur, but I expect him to cover the -3.5 game handicap easily (odds 1.8). Humbert has zero confidence at the moment. He has not been beaten in recent weeks ..., he's been bludgeoned, and it has to have negative subconscious implications.
WTA FRENCH QUALIES Super dangerous, and a good place to lose money. Best stay away from this.
    WTA RABAT
Gotta go with the inform youngster, Claire Lui to win in straight sets tomorrow against Rakhimova. Lui should have plenty of confidence and be in a good head space, which should deliver a victory here. I think being a very very good junior player really helps, because they get used to winning, and it keeps them level headed (they know they are only at the beginning of their pro career journey) .

If Djoko plays like this he is basically unbeatable. Got everything. Serve is soo good when he needs it. His ability to hit that two handed backhand is amazing, and his court coverage is incredible.
Just gotta see the French open draw, and if him and Alcaraz are in different main sections you can call it for the final. Even for the 1st 4 rounds you can probably take Djoko/Alcaraz/Swiatek as a treble in every round, and come the quarters they will all be in the draw. Each of them are unbelievably difficult to beat.

    WTA:
    Anisimova is playing very well. Has had excellent wins on clay (beating Azarenka, Martic and Sabalenka in Madrid) and winning 3 matches already in Rome.  Her performance against Collins was excellent, dominating, with unbelievable serve stats;
AmandaAnisimova DanielleCollins       63% First serve % 52% 81% Win % on 1st serve 48% 90%  Win % on 2nd serve  59% I think Sabalenka has to play very well to beat such an in form opponent. If she has a slight off day here, she will lose. Put under pressure (by a really good returner), I think Sabalenka's serve will not hold up. I think she loses here.
Sakkari beat Gauff but it was a close match. Really nothing in it, but Gauff has forehand issues that cost her the match. When she sorts that stroke out she is gonna be very very tough to beat. Moves well, solid serve, strong attitude, terrific backhand and she is only 18. She is a future superstar!  Jabeur doesn't have such an apparent weakness (at this level), and it is going to be miles harder for Sakkari to just pick up free points like that. I think the handicapping is decent and expect Jabeur to win here.
Surprised Kasatkina beat Badosa last night. For me Tiechmann should prove an easier customer to handle.  Tiechmann has these weird losses (Ruse ranked 198, Zanevska 193, Grabher 194), and I don't think her physical ability will give her a big edge (when compared to Rybakina) here.  Happy to back Kasatkina at odds of even money.
Will go small medium bet on the treble which works at around 4.6 to 1.

I would be very hesitant to go against Swaitek in any bet. Yesterday she was 3-0 down to Azarenka (1st set) and then beat her 6-1. 2nd set down 0-1 and then won 6 in a row. She is on a run that is defining and awesome. 25 matches unbeaten, with 19 wins in straight sets. She is dominating opponents on return of serve. She must have covered the -6.5 handicap 15 times in 25 matches. And the crazy thing is that Azarenka didn't play badly. I think you are swimming against the tide opposing Swiatek at this moment.

In the men's not many surprises on the cards on a day where most results look straight forward.
Watched the Cilic v Norrie match, and even though Norrie was injured, Cilic just hit the ball incredibly well. Played with a smile on his face and really enjoyed himself. It was so atypical, but was a joy to watch. You can see that he is a nice person. Was a purple patch, and if he plays like that again he is almost unbeatable ... he was that good! Maybe just a strange combination of the right surface, balls, mental state, temp, bio rhythms. Some of his backhands were amazing!
For me Wawrinka may just be out of gas against Novak, and I would be tempted to go Djoko in straight sets. 2 wins back to back may just be too much physically, emotionally and mentally. The odds of 1.21 are pretty poor though.
Shapavalov could take a set off Nadal (he did last year), when Nadal won a very close match, so I am tempted to go over 19.5 games which has odds of 2. I think the left hander v left hander nullifies Nadal's hook to the 'backhand' side and creates unusual problems for him. For me probably the best value bet of the day at even money.
I refuse to back Ruud who has dropped the ball as a favorite just too often for me (1.2 against Lajovic, 1.3 against van de Zandschulp, 1.4 against Carreno-Busta all lost from the 22nd April to now). He is not in form and not value at such low odds.
The only real question here is how to get the max out of a day in which the favorites are going to win almost all the matches? Open to suggestions...
I am probably taking Zverev, SInner, Tsitsipas, Djokovic 2:0, Nadal Over 19.5, as one medium sized bet which should be around 3.7 to 1 .
In the WTA Swiatek plays Azarenka which should be a straight forward win. Swaitek, defending champion, who seems to love it in Rome. Hard to forget her 6-0 6-0 demolition of Pliskova in the final last year. Would be going for the straight sets win for Swiatek here (odds around 1.4) or the under 20 games (6-4 6-3 score).
Sakkari played Gauff last year in this tournament (a strange match of 6-1 sets). I think she has improved and is a better player this year. Serve is a weapon now, miles better than last year. Has Gauff's game developed as much? I don't think so and expect a Sakkari win here.
I will also take a treble of Collins to beat Anisimova, Tiechmann to beat Rybakina and Swiatek under 20 games. I feel that Tiechmann is very suited for clay. Moves well, serves well and could just be too physical for Rybakina, who is over-reliant on her serve. Rybakina also moves poorly, especially on clay.  If Collins can get the better of Halep, she has a very good chance against Anisimova, especially with another match played.
For me the Sabalenka, Teichmann, Anisimova matches are all gonna be close. All 6 players are playing well, and I find it almost impossible to call winners here. Again not sure what to do. Maybe one has to be betting over game totals?

Two top players make their starts in the Tournament tomorrow. Badosa and Konteveit.
Badosa has the game to win this tourn, especially now that her serve is improving. You can see it in the serve break stats, and they are getting better. Serving is not just getting the ball in, but understanding where your opponent is going to return the ball (if it comes back). It's like playing chess. You need to be a couple of moves ahead, and then you can start playing to patterns that suite your strengths. At this point you start to become more proactive, playing aggressive 1st strike tennis. Badosa has too much game for Sasnovich here.
Konteveit just looked burned out and exhausted in her last few matches. A decent break at home, chilling and recharging the batteries does not hurt, and was exactly what was needed. For me, Martic gets overpowered and blown off the court here.
Halep plays Collins, and I think it will be Collins first match in Europe this Summer. So not yet match ready (in my opinion), or acclimatized. I think this rust, helps Halep get over the line here.
In the WTA in Paris Claire Lui plays Anastasia Gasanova and I think that game is a pretty easy one sided victory. Lui was a world #1 junior and she is going places. Which this space!
I will take all four as a quad legged bet..
I'm not sure that Zverev can just brush off his demolition in Spain last week (it's only 3 days ago). That was a proper beating, and it has to bruise the mind. Baez will look at that and be thinking 'hey, I can do that to him as well'. Baez is a tough youngster, and I would be going over 20 games here, with a small bet.
Gotta be going with Wawrinka to beat Djere.  Young players and players coming back from injury suffer from the same thing. Inconsistency! But Stan can definitely bring it, even though he does not look to be in the greatest of shape (but that is his body type). I thought that Coric could have beaten Djere but he also showed some weakness, which is expected on the comeback trail. Again not a huge bet.
Carreno-Busta just has too much for Khackanov on clay, and I expect the Spaniard to have a regulation win. For me a double with Wawrinka at odds around 3.5 to 1 is fair enough.

Jil Teichmann to beat Karolina Pliskova at 1.75 with BetVictor
Teichmann is having a great form at the moment, while Pliskova...well, she's bound to recover at some point, but I'm willing to oppose her until she does. Aside from beating the similarly out-of-form Kvitova, she's done absolutely nothing so far in 2022, with only one other win over Zavatska. She also doesn't always care on clay really.

Two totally inform players today. Jessica Pegula going up against Samsonova should be very comfortable.  Pegula making the final in Madrid, should have too much clay court prowess.
Second match is Alexandrova to beat Stephens. Stephens knocked out 1st round in Madrid,  Alexandrova with a great run in Madrid and with excellent form. My 3rd low priced match of the day is Jabeur to beat Cirstea. At this stage Jabeur and Swiatek are probably the best two woman's clay court players.
Will take these three as a treble.
If I had too go longer shot I do like Bronzetti to beat Osario. Nothing much between them in the rankings and results and I tend to go with the longer odds in these matches.
I think Andreescu beats Radacanu. Radacanu just so over hyphed after a US Open that was beyond anything imaginable. Yet her current form is lousy. Quite interesting her comments on Alcaraz, where she said his 'consistency' is amazing. It is something that seems very elusive for her at this moment. Radacanu probably guilty of overthinking it, but she really has no coaching base or real guidance. She won is the US but there was no real method to the madness.
One guy I would not touch with a bargepole is Casper Ruud. He has had a terrible clay court Summer so far. I think his record is 4-4 and he is up against Botic who beat him in straight sets at Bavarian open (7-5  6-1). Would def be going with van de Zandschulp here.
Also think Pedro Martinez is worth a shout against Sinner. That is a seriously good player, with excellent fitness and ball striking. Would be going over 20.5 games here, in what could be an upset or very close match.

Maria Camila Osorio Serrano to beat Lucia Bronzetti at 1.73 with Pinnacle
Despite Bronzetti being Italian, I fancy Osorio to come out on top here, she seems far superior and also with a solid mental game, having beaten Svitolina in a tough match and playing some great battles already this year. Anywhere else and I reckon she'd be 1.57. but I don't think the home factor is strong enough to push her to 1.73.

Laslo Djere to beat Borna Coric @1,67 (local bookie Circuscasino)

Once again i'm going against Coric who is,i believe, not yet at his best level. He had a long break and playing with the protected ranking. Djere, similarly to Lajovic, had a bad run of results in first couple of months of the season, but he's improving lately reaching semifinal of Marakech and 3rd round of Monte Carlo (lost to Tsistsipas in two very close sets)..he won quite comfortable against Kokkinakis and Dellien in the qualis..so i expect him to have a uper hand over Coric.

For today I'd go with bautista to beat evans and zandschulp to take a set off goffin. Bautista seemed in good form against brooksby and is playing at home plus his game is far better for this surface than evan's. Zandschulp seems to be ok after retiring in munich(hopefuly someone could fill me in on why he did that there) and has some huge weapons, goffing defends better but he definetly ain t unbeatable nowdays. There are other matches to maybe have a look at , like fokina beating hurkacz or atleast takin a set since the pole struggled with delien and had some issues with his right hand and korda also has a good shot at beating musetti

Anisimova has shown much more than Alexandrova and she was really on it against Azarenka, some great tennis. Alexandrova, well, she has been good, but also a bit lucky with her opposition, with only Bouzkova being a worthy opponent and testing her to the max (Anisimova has also successfully faced Sabalenka).

Aside from Gauff, who covered the +4.5 line today, I also like Teichmann in the conditions. She swept away both Kvitova and Fernandez, so Rybakina won't be a major step up. Rybakina is unproven here, really, only having beaten the Dodin and then the injured Siniakova. +4 looks good to me on the same grounds as +4.5 looked good to me in Gauff-Halep.

Cori Gauff (+4.5) to beat Simona Halep at 2.02 with Unibet
Gauff has been the most pleasant surprise for me so far in Madrid, constantly improving and she's found her range nicely in the previous matches. Halep had a good win over the injured Badosa after a slow start against Zhang, so she's still a bit of an unknown quanitity. +4.5 looks a game high to me.
