Yep, if Arsenal win tomorrow then we will have just the 3 going through to Week 9. If Arsenal don't win, then everybody goes through to Week 9 as it's over 6 players going out.
  2. Thanks

just edited the pts win as I put him up at each-way. I thought for a moment in this match that I was going to have 3 players in the last 4 and not get a winner
    you're welcome mate

so nice to see Allen win in his home town. Higgins was brilliant. Thought that he had thrown it away at 8-6 down but that was brilliant and very tense.
+44pts with the 18/1 winner tonight. The match betting didn't go too well at the back end but the 18/1 and 16/1 quarter winner helped.

lol, yeah i went outright and not each-way. Doh! but i each-way on Walden.
It's hard because Walden wont win the final but he gets the most return. Bingtao has played the best of the 4 for me. Allen / Bingtao final would be a good match.

No, not this event. Good to see Wright go out last night. Opens up the bottom half so much. There wasn't much I liked last night. Here's tonights line up:
    Gawlas Vs Murnan
    Ratajski Vs Noppert
    Wade Vs Smith-Neale
    Aspinall Vs King
    M.Smith Vs Searle
    MVG Vs Krcmar
    Price Vs Edhouse
    Heta Vs Clemens
Some nice 50/50 kind of matches tonight, atleast from the bookies perspective but I think Gawlas and Searle (both even shots) are more than 50% likely to win. Gawlas is a good player and if he can bring that form to the big screen then he should be too consistent for Murnan, who is either awful or brilliant. Searle looked excellent at the Grand Prix until he got to the Semi-Final and then was terrible but in the early round of a tournament I think he will be care-free against Smith and would like to think the doubling would return.
I'll also take King to beat Aspinall. Aspinall just hasn't shown me any real solid form since the Premier League and King is dangerous to anybody.
    4pts A.Gawlas to beat J.Murnan evens paddypower
    3pts R.Searle to beat M.Smith evens bet365
    2.5pts M.King to beat N.Aspinall 13/10 bet365
    --------------------------------------
2pt treble MVG, Searle and Heta 7/2 paddypower
1pt accy - Gawlas, Ratajski, King, Searle and Heta 24/1 paddypower (money back if 1 loses)

Straight into the next one as the Cazoo European Championships get started on Thursday. Peter Wright won this last year, beating the previous years winner James Wade, in the final. A 4 day event that's hosted in Austria, Suljovic's home country.
The top 32 players from the European Tour make up this event so think the Super Series, Winter Series winners etc..
Price is in the top half and it looks like he will meet MVG in the Quarter Finals (aslong as MVG can beat Wade) in the other part of the top half we have Ratajski, Smith, Searle, Noppert and Aspinall so this tournament will really catch fire Quarter finals onwards. The player I like from the top half is Ratajski. He played some really good stuff last week and was unlucky to go out to Clayton in that Quarter Final. He was the only player to really push Clayton at the Grand Prix.
In the bottom half Peter Wright will have Suljovic and Cullen in his half. I think Suljovic has a chance of going deep in this event but it's hard to know his form because the Grand Prix has the double in/double out aspect. Add to the fact Mensur is "at home" i think he is worth a small bet. In the other half of the bottom I like a few outsiders. Cross will likely meet De Sousa in the Quarter Finals but I wasn't that impressed with De Sousa and I think one of Rydz/Humphries/Williams can give Cross a go if they make it through.
    2pts e/w K.Ratajski to win European Championship 25/1 paddypower
    ----------------------------------------------------
    1pt e/w L.Humphries to win European Championship 25/1 paddypower
    1pt e/w M.Suljovic to win European Championship 33/1 paddypower
    ----------------------------------------------------
0.5pts C.Rydz to win European Championships 66/1 paddypower
0.5pts L.Williams to win European Championships 100/1 paddypower

I'll take Gilbert to beat Higgins tonight. I thought Gilbert was excellent lastnight, when I watched him against Selby. Took his chances well and could have won easier. He takes on Higgins, who has in the past had a fantastic record against him but Gilbert has won 19 of his last 22 matches now and is most definetely playing the better snooker of the two, so if he keeps his head tonight and can get a nice start, I don't see why he can't go on to make the Semi-finals.
I'll take a bet on a treble today too and if Walden beats Murphy, I'll be happy to lose that one.
    5pts D.Gilbert to beat J.Higgins 13/10 bet365
    2ps treble - Allen, Gilbert & S.Murphy to win 7.5/1 bet365

2 that I like today and that's King to continue his good form against Haotian. Carter should have beaten Haotian and after going 1-0 up, Haotian fluked a ball to win the 2nd frame and things didn't go well from there. Haotian did play quite well, but King was alot better in his performance and has won the last 2 h2h. Other I like is Lines against Bingtao. Bingtao is an outright pick but Lines is flying right now. I expected him to beat Woollaston but 4-0 was a great result.
    5.5pts M.King to beat Haotian 10/11 bet365
    2.5pts O.Lines to beat Y.Bingtao 9/5 betfred
    --------------------------------------------------
1pt treble - King, Jak Jones and O.Lines to win 16/1 paddypower

Yesterday was very annoying. I couldn't tip up King to beat Hawkins in time because Hawkins was messing about in his late match. I didn't tip up Cahill on his own to beat Ferg and Lines to beat Woollaston and on a seperate note a big accy of mine lost thanks to Yupeng missing a final black against Selby. Very irratating.
There was nothing I was too excited about this morning. I thought Craigie had a chance against Bingham. That's currently 2-2.
All the ones I like today are odds on shots so I will take a chance on a 4-fold with paddy (money back if one loses) tempted by Lichtenberg and Miah but I'll keep it just this today (for now)
    2pts J.Robertson / Heathcote / Walden / Saengkham 4/1 paddypower

I watched Mark Williams for abit late last night hobbling around the table, suffering from bad Gout. He lost the first frame to Mark Joyce but luckily for him a mixture of natural talent and Joyce being cr*p helped him take control and win 4-1. He takes on Elliot Slessor tonight, who is a very underrated player. I don't know much about Gout but I would assume it doesn't heal in just one day and even without the Gout, Slessor would give Mark a game. Worth a small bet.
    2pts E.Slessor to beat M.Williams 2/1 bet365

Impressive stuff from Gary Wilson. Beats Jordan Brown 4-0. Allen and Bingtao through in the outrights. Allen hit a 147 in the 4th frame.  Ronnie looks bang on in and ready to play this week and so he looks a cert to go deep.  +4pts on the day.
A couple that I like tomorrow but I'm waiting on Hawkins result on one of the afternoon matches. I'll mention the 2 that I do definitely like the look of though,
Ali Carter is the first, he takes on Haotian in the morning and I fancy Ali to win -1.5 frame handicap. Carter found a way to go out of the Scottish Open to Ken Doherty despite being 2-0 and 3-2 up, he lost 4-3 but he managed to hit 5 50+ breaks and is most certainly in some decent form. Haotian has lost 3 of the 4 matches he has played this season and despite only losing to Day on a deciding leg, he isn't scoring anywhere near to Ali's level. They've met twice and Ali has won both and I think he will have enough to do it with a couple frames to spare.
The other one I like is James Cahill to beat Ferg O'Brien. Cahill looked in good form in the last round here, beating Chang Bingyu 4-2 and hitting a century and 2 50+ breaks. He's beaten Lee Walker since then and comes into this match against Ferg O'Brien, who is in decent form himself. The fact that Ferg also has some form means I'll take Cahill in a 4-fold with Oliver Lines and the handicap bet on Carter and Sijun.
3pts A. Carter (-1.5 frames) to beat L. Haotian evens paddypower
    1pt accy -  A. Carter (-1.5 frames) /  Y. Sijun (-1.5 frames) / J. Cahill to beat F.O'Brien / O. Lines to beat B. Woollaston 15/1 paddypower

Well somebody decided it was a good idea to give Curran the final over
CSK make the final and Delhi will play the winner of today's elimination match. Today RCB take on Kolkata Knight Riders and I'm going to stick with my pre tournament pick, RCB. Maxwell has been inspired in this event and despite Kohli not really living up to expectation recently, I would like to think that with so many good options, somebody will shine today.
5pts RCB to beat Kolkata KR 4/5 bet365
1pt Maxwell Man Of The Match 8/1 paddypower

We're at the Play-Off stage now then and the first qualifier will be Delhi Capitals taking on Chennai Super Kings. Winner of this match makes the final, which will be played on Friday. I really like the Delhi Capitals and I think that defeat to my pre-tournament pick RCB may have helped them re-focus. The bookies can't split them but I think over the course of the season Delhi have been the best team and I expect that to shine through here.

Absolutely brilliant fight again this morning. Fury is just a different breed, he looked like he could go another 12 rounds at the end of that fight. True champion. Let's hope there is a number 4 because let's face it, who else can Fury beat
The evens shot on Fury was free money despite it only being a tenna but the 9/1 comes in with both fighters going down but The Gypsy King wins in Round 11.

In the stupid hours of Sunday morning, around 5-6am, the trilogy will be completed as once again Fury takes on Wilder.  I think we'll see a closer fight than the 2nd one and perhaps more like the first fight. I still think Fury will win but I can see this one going to latter stages and perhaps even going to a decision on points, to Fury, who is the much better boxer.
skybet are doing evens on Fury winning but it's a tenna max bet. Paddypower are offering a free bet of the same amount for their "what odds" bets which are what my other 2 selections are.
