Well, well, well Semi in woman`s, 3 offensive players, and one I would say "chess player".
I more agree with Yogg picks, just wonder if Serenas serve and offense would not finish most points in 2-4 shots, in this case there is no chance, but if Sevastova will manage to keep ball longer in court, there is chance to play chess once again...plus, hope fitness and concentration would case problem for Williams, so my pick, Sevastova win [email protected] William Hill, and yes, Osaka as well, as its 50/50 game for me, and no bet, but if bookies can see some favorite here, I am going against them.
    Good luck everyone

Osaka to win @2.39 with Marathonbet
Osaka has impressed me with her power game especially against Sabalenka who was the favourite to beat her.
Keys hasn't come up against a slogger yet and I think she'll be undone here.

I notice you quote 3 different bookies for your bets CP so I'm a bit worried you didn't back the treble that would've paid around 5.50

    3/3 from Tuesday/Wednesday.
K.Nishikori/N.Djokovic - Over 3.5 sets at 1.91 with Paddy Power
The only bet that I'll be taking from the SFs is this one, as Djokovic is yet to impress me in this tournament and as I think that he's yet to face a tough test. The draw has been very kind to him and yet he's struggled physically with the conditions, hard to say what his real level is. Nishikori, on the other hand, has beaten much stronger players over the couple of rounds here and he certainly has what it takes to keep this at least somewhat tight quality-wise. I don't see him winning, but a 3-0 result doesn't look all that likely to me either.

Pure madness indeed . It's -3.3pts for me after Sharapova failed.
R.Nadal/D.Thiem - Over 3.5 sets at 1.73 with Paddy Power
Rafael Nadal has a 9-0 sets lead over Thiem in Grand Slams, but he's been pretty average so far, having plenty of issues against Khachanov and then dropping a set out of nowhere against Nikoloz. Thiem had a good match against Anderson, on the other hand, and it seems to me that he's just fitter, with Nadal possibly having some knee issues again. He isn't complaining about them on air for obvious reasons, but I can't see him going the whole way. Should be a tight match and I wouldn't be shocked to see an upset.
Madison Keys (-3.5) to beat Carla Suarez-Navarro at 1.80 with Bet365
Naomi Osaka (-3.5) to beat Lesya Tsurenko at 1.91 with BoyleSports
I watched all four on Monday and I really fancy the favourites here. Both played much better than their upcoming opponents and both have the right weapons for the match-ups, too much strength in general. Tsurenko also had some fitness issues against Vondrousova, who had her own health problems.

Kei Nishikori to beat Marin Cilic at 2.35 with SportingBet
Think the unexpectedly long game that Cilic experienced with De Minaur might be a factor here. Having watched the last two Nishikori games, I've been very impressed with his game. He has only dropped one set thus far, and was dominant against an in-form Kohlschreiber. I feel that Nishikori will be able to give Cilic a greater challenge than Goffin, who was apparently somewhat injured before the game actually started, so the 3-0 scoreline probably flatters Cilic a bit.

    Marin Cilic vs Kei Nishikori
Many consider Cilic a favorite, but I think that Nishikori has had an easier way to this point of the tournament. He only dropped 1 set and played only 1 set against Monfils. The heat and the time Cilic has been on court is against him.
My pick is Nishikori at 2.5, 5 units at Matchbook.

Novak Djokovic to beat John Millman 3-0 @ 1.60 Unibet
I've been thinking about hitting this for a while and I've decided to pull the trigger. Essentially, even though this is a short price in normal circumstances it would be shorter. As it is, after Millman just about managed to take advantage of the worst performance of Federer's career in the last round, his price to beat Djokovic is about ten to one and that's no value to me at all. What that price does do though is impact on the set betting prices and present an opportunity to take a punt on something that I think has a higher chance of happening than 1.60 implies.
It'll be interesting to see what Millman has left in the tank after such a monumental effort against Federer and whilst I don't think he'll necessarily be blown away like he was the last time he played Djokovic earlier in the year, I don't see him winning a set. Beating Federer, even though he played badly, will have made Djokovic sit up and take notice and I expect him to be dialled in right from the start in this one. Coupled with the chance of a comedown on Millman's part I'm happy to take a chance on Djokovic advancing to the next round in straight sets.

Borna let me down here dropping his only set so far  but I think he's being very underestimated by the bookies against DelPo.
neither player has done much wrong so far and Coric to win @ odds of 3.92 with Pinnacle are just too juicy to turn down for me.
I think this will go all the way so I'll be taking the over 4.5 sets line @4.10 with Unibet.
and as I'm blowing his trumpet why not take Coric @ 51.00 with Bet365 e/w to win the tournament.
    good luck all

Sasnovich seems to be flying under the radar as she's been playing great tennis all the way back to Wimbledon. Coming back from a set down to demolish Bencic was another fine performance.
Kasatkina's run up has been nowhere near as good and had a real scare against Babos.
I know I know H2H blah blah but I prefer recent form to H2H and in this case the bookies have it wrong.

two amazing young talents very closely matched neither of which knows when they're beaten.
this is the Russian's 7th game in a week and I still believe the Greek's successful year will have taken it's toll.
taken together I'm going for a correct score punt.

In my humble opinion, it would be a sweeping statement to say "she threw" the match. The girl has not even grown up enough to work for enough food for herself talk less of throwing away. In a big tourney such as New Haven she would only have been trying her hardest best to arrive at victory. Not even the best of players can afford to throw matches away in a tournament of that magnitude. Goerges in recent times has been nothing short of world class material. You really have to earn victory from those sort of players even if they are at their tiredest low. Gritt is the difference between the old Goerges and the new one. It is from a similar fabric that the new Sabalenka has emerged from - doggedly and annoyingly clutch. This brings me to my second observation; To be successful in this indulgence, you must be pokerfaced at all times devoid of emotion. People sometimes get emotional when a player clearly lets them down and they now somehow find themselves chosing a pick which is more from a payback to the offending player. All players will always be guilty of coniving against us at one point or another. Fact. The only person that can disappoint you is you who made a bad pick. She would not have be seen to throw the match away had you been on Goerges.
I also think it is the same case with Stephens. Surely she has to be allowed a flop here or there especially judging from the alarming consistency by which she now appears at the business end of these big tournaments. Going against her at home in the first round with a player of no repute would seem a disastrous call just even pondering over the potential matchup. Sloane has a lazy style that has effectively lands most opponents in handcuffs bar a few. I just do not think Rodina has the credentials to get over that bar. Time will tell if she is able to shut my big mouth.

Tsitsipas is a sensational player, no doubt about it and he's had a great season too but how much has it taken out of him?
After all, he's only just turned 20 and his early exit at Cincinnati may have been an indicator.
So he may find himself under pressure from the off against an up to speed Robredo.
I think the Greek will win but a punt on a 1st set tiebreak @4.00 with Bet365 appeals to me.

    Osuigwe Whitney vs Giorgi
This should be a very easy game for Giorgi or a cake walk as someone has once before described on this forum. Giorgi has had some good workouts on hardcourts recently and has maintained a good winning ratio beating people that she should normally beat but perhaps getting to no milestone of importance in all those victories.
Giorgi in my opinion is an intresting vibrant and engaging player with her heavy groundstrokes and quickplay. She is also very regressive (A Player in orbit on a destination to nowhere) Lost recently to Bencic 6-4 6-4, prior to that, brushed aside by a mundane and insipid Keys and lost in a three setter to Kuzmova who really in my opinion is a player for the future.
Whitney Osuigwe represents hope for the future of American tennis. She is the reigning ITF junior world champion and a former no1 junior in the world. Osuigwe also won the 2017 French Open to become the first American to win the girls' singles event in 28 years. She is currently 16yrs old and has been playing well recently to be worthy of mention. I expect her to improve a lot from her recent defeat to Bencic and play with more confidence and freedom against a clueless Giorgi. I will not go overboard here with anxiety. Verdict: over 19.5 total games. Good luck all!!
