Aljaz Bedene to beat Benoit Paire for a 7/10 stake at 2.50 with Paddypower
I saw Aljaz play his first match against Ernesto Escobedo where he served very well striking down ace after ace, his serve seemed so suitable for grass. He's sure as hell not unbreakable but Ernesto was so bad at returning but is Benoit really so good right now as he should be rated as a favourite on grass? No he's not is my simple answer and certainly not on grass but he can return so that's some danger of backing Aljaz but that's all. I still think Benoit will have problems returning Aljaz serve but when some second serves come along it's possible to win some points. But then there's this small home court advantage for Aljaz. Playing in London will give him some extra motivation. Anyway I belive there's value in backing Aljaz.

Ashleigh Barty (-1.5 sets) to beat Andrea Hlavackova for a 8/10 stake at 1.90 with Paddypower
Ash is so good so I just got to have her win in straight sets as my number 1 bet tomorrow. Andreas road will end here and it should have ended before but she got lucky facing Yanina Wickmayer after being knocked out by Michelle Larcher De Brito in the qualies but received a lucky loser pass. Now she's out. No way she'll cope with Ash and her first serves.
Edit: Ash road will most likely end in the quarter where Karolina Pliskova is waiting but she'll keep it tight with probably a 7-5 or tie-break to happen.

John Millman to beat Lucas Pouille @ 1.73 Ladbrokes (1 pt)
Pouille hasn't won a match on grass in nearly three years, so I think he should be a bigger underdog than he is against a player in Millman who's not too shabby on the surface. The Australian played well at Wimbledon last year and will no doubt be looking to build on that, and this represents an excellent chance for him to start his grass court season with a win. Pouille is a talented player and that's reflected in his ranking, but he's unproven on grass and so this looks like a match that's been priced up on reputation rather than ability so it's Millman for me here.
Alexsandra Krunic to beat Mirjana Lucic-Baroni @ 3.40 Coral (1 pt)
I might be missing something here, but I can't see how Krunic deserves to be considered such an outsider in this match. Lucic-Baroni has been in good form but she's got to get used to the surface and her record on grass in recent years isn't all that good. Krunic is taking a lucky loser spot here after being bounced out in qualifying so I guess that goes against her as far as form is concerned, but last year she beat some good players on grass and so I think she'll have a chance in this one.

    Hercog - Strycova 3.30
What the hell! I really don't understand. Strycova won in main draw of FO after 11 years and she is so big favourite against clay specialist? Hercog won on clay both matches with Strycova. Yes they were in better days of Polona and Bara is in the peak of hear career. They were tight but Bara has many matches very tight even with huge favorites. Now Bara won against poor Hradecka not too easy. Polona is not so good in FO but as a clay specialist with massive topspin forehand against small and unpatiatent Bara has good weapon in play.

    Razzano - Kasatkina 3.50
Razzano, her form, her results in FO against young hopefull but unexperienced Darya. And Razzano with her unsport behaviour can disgust Darya very easy.

    Lucic - Osaka 3.8
Yes, Lucic is favorite no doubt. She played well in Strasbourg but was it real performance of Lucic or not motivated players against her? Her results on FO aren't noticeable. Osaka defeated Ostapenko with similar game like Lucic but more various. So I think she can play with Lucic too.
    Safarova - Golubič 4.70
I'm fan of Safarova but I must admit her level is too far even from her average performance . Win over Dyatchenko is not a scale. Dyatchenko has really nothing she went to Paris only for prize money. And Golubic is mentally strong. She plays very annoying tennis and has good results with Czech players all her career. Her weakness is serve. But Lucy struggles all her career with return and now much more. As for me fair odd is 2.8 for Golubic.

I fancy this too..... When I see Benoit Paire every single time the question that pops into my mind is... Why in the god's name is this guy playing tennis? Gabashwili, if plays anything like he did against Young, should blow Paire away.

Gabasvila roughly 2/1 to beat Paire is another fancy. Has a decent games on clay, coupled with terrible attitude of Paire. Thoughts?  Being a little cautious as not been around past few days so if a player I could back has injury etc then this gives me that insight. Thanks in advance.

Bjorn Fratangelo to beat Sam Querrey @ 3.35 Unibet (1 pt)
As much as I'm happy enough to back Fratangelo as he beat some good clay courters in the Bordeaux Challenger recently and he won this tournament as a junior, this is more about going against Querrey and for three main reasons. Firstly, he's never been that comfortable on clay and he reminds me of Roddick in that respect. Secondly, he's lost his last three matches on the surface, albeit against players he was expected to lose to and finally because from memory his record at this tournament is pretty poor. Combining those three things makes me think Querrey wont be oozing confidence ahead of this one, and so it could pay to side with the younger American here.

Back Amandine Hesse to beat Taylor Townsend for a 7/10 stake at 3.25 with Paddy Power
Back Kurumi Nara to beat Denisa Allertova for a 7/10 stake at 2.28 with Unibet
Back Kristyna Pliskova to beat Teliana Pereira for a 7/10 stake at 2.50 with Paddy Power
Wanted to take some outrights, but nothing caught my eye unfortunately, so that's that. In the match betting, however, I have three underdogs that I like. Townsend is still unproven on European clay and Hesse isn't poor by any means, so the 3.25 that's on offer for her looks to big to me. Allertova hasn't played since Miami and she was also ill recently, so I have no idea how she's the favourite against Nara, while Pereira is in such a mess at the moment that I like the 2.50 for Pliskova.

Hi, yesterday I was quite lucky with Razzano. With catching odd 12 in 2nd set for Vesnina and then before 3rd I betted again on Razzano. But I had to say that refrees really pushed French woman and Vesnina wasn't so motivated before FO.
    Razzano - Garcia 3.20
Again on Razzano. Garcia has awful record on clay more than year. And she dislikes agressive players like Razzano (H2H is 0:1 for her). Only one factor is negative, different stats with fellow countrywoman. It's very positive for Garcia and very negative for Razzano. I think and hope it will not play role.
    Nishioka - Stepanek 3.25
Nishioka isn't so bad and old veteran Stepanek defeated big outsider yesterday 7:5 in 3rd set. I suppose also an over.

    ZVEREV VS SOUSA
On the face of things Zverev looks the most likely to progress based on current form and also the way he dug deep to get out of jail against Simon. However I have come to realize that it takes more than superficiality and impressionisms to arrive at the winner in an indulgence that gets more complex by the minute. I will go with my own little theory to prevail over every other theory that has been put forward - Zverev has more to gain from the French Open than Sousa. Winning one or two more games at the cost of an early exit, can not really be an appropriate plan going into next week and with barely two days to go. This has Sousa's name written all over it who is a total different proposition from the very passive Simon. I even still think Sousa wins without the already made excuses for Zverev. I will take Sousa to win comfortably . Good luck!!

    Razzano - Vesnina 4.0 (now 3.8)
Vesnina has very good year but Razzano is in-form just now. And last year show won in Strasburg over Vesnina. H2H is 2:2. Puig and Vesnina are slightly similar players in quality and style. And Razzano was able to play with Puig and be better. Injury of Puig was sudden after Razzano's break in 3rd set

Today selection is Kevin Anderson 10/11 to beat Joao Sousa. Kevin Anderson always puts in the effort, this combined with his overall ability will see him defeat Sousa. Sousa laboured to victory in his last match and the occasions I have seen him play I think Anderson will relish today's meeting.

Back Alexander Zverev to beat Gilles Simon for a 7/10 stake at 2.20 with Bet365
Looks like a complete coin-flip to me in all fairness, so going with the higher odds. Simon has been too up and down so far this season to be the favourite here considering that he has a 0-2 record against Zverev and that the Nice conditions aren't incredibly slow.

Now thinking about backing Mirjana Lucic-Baroni against Pauline Parmentier who just did'nt win the match against Sloane Stephens because of her great defense. She did'nt win the match against Sloane because she was outplaying her, she was only defending and letting Sloane miss the court or just strike a winner when Sloane was off balance. Mirjana has enough motivation to do well a week before a grand slam. No danger to see her suddenly lose 5-6 points in a row like Sloane in the decider. I mean it was 4-3 and Sloane was serving for 5-3 and was 40-0 up and manage to get broken. So typically awful display from a player like Sloane who does'nt care one bit about winning a clay tournament.

Back Victor Estrella to beat Joao Sousa for a 7/10 stake at 2.75 with Unibet
Can't see how Estrella is a 2.75 shot here, Sousa is on such a bumpy ride at the moment that he's just not a worthy favourite here. Estrella crushed Kudla in the first round, he's on more or less the same level as Sousa playing wise, and he's also one of those players that you rarely doubt in terms of motivation.

Back Rafael Nadal to beat Novak Djokovic for a 5/10 stake at 3.35 with 10bet
I'm essentially at 4.00 on Nishikori to beat Thiem tomorrow, so I'll be adding just this one into the mix for smaller stakes. Perhaps I'm going crazy, but Nadal has been the better player of the two so far in Rome, so I certainly wouldn't be having him above the 3.00 mark here. Djokovic can turn it on, of course, but 3.35? Nah.
