    Humbert 6/1 PP

Cracking race for a Thursday afternoon here and a very competitive look to it. I fancy Humbert to get back to winning ways after a slightly disappointing 5th last time at Wetherby in a another valuable handicap. He went for home to soon on that occasion and I think connections will have learnt from that. He was well backed that day in a deeper race and goes here off the same mark, Danny Tudhope replaces the injured Miss Gordon.........

It just shows you what’s open race this is as I Heard a whisper that Fire Brigade is open to improvement do I’m on it each way. Good luck and it will be an interesting race to watch!

There's some rubbish riding going on today, the very overrated Silvestre de Souza giving Detachment a shocker, thinking he can run 28 horse widths wide for half the race and still win? (not), Paul Mulrennan refusing to give any ride at all to Reveleon, Jason Watson not riding out for second on Swiss Cross, all jockeys famed for effort doing absolutely nothing on these, these races looked worked our before the start by the way these guys rode, horse racing cant continue in weekdays if races are being worked out with only a few money men in the now.

Lol Stevie I feel like this sone days, my daughter is a jockey and she shouts at me that she could ride better than some of these Jockeys. I know positioning is hard but cone on jockeys! But then some of them are playing the ratings game!

Racing Uk Profits All Returned To Racing Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Class 5) (3YO only) 8.5f

I have doubts over the top two in the market here, David Simcock's Court of Justice finished fourth on seasons re-appearance when attempting 10f for the first time on the all weather at Chelmsford. He never really showed me that he could sustain the run even over today's trip of 8f, worth taking on.

Andrew Balding won this last year with War of Succession, this afternoon the yard saddles White Turf who showed signs of improvement when fourth of twelve in what could turn out to be a useful looking Novice contest, he was a 40/1 shot that day, and for me has to improve further, the fact Oisin has not turned up to ride him could give an account that he would need this run.

Danny Tudhope comes here off the back of riding a winner at Royal Ascot, and gets the leg up here on Willie Haggas's RHIGOLTER ROSE.The yard won this back in 2014, the selection here was a shade disappointing on debut when running seventh at Newmarket over 7f, the fact the trip was far too short and looked beaten a long way out. This is his opening campaign and attempts the index for the first time, more to come now making the transition.

    RHIGOLTER ROSE : 1pt Win @ 11/2 (BOG)

A nice write up! I will disagree though! I haven’t heard that R Rose will improve and I feel that this is the perfect trip for the odds on jolly! (But unbackle at them odds!)

    Good luck though

Are you really subliminally trying to sell us a wet room?

    Mrs Gallagher 11/4 bet365

Decent prize here and Mrs Gallagher can be followed to get back to winning ways. Won at Bath in similar company and then followed up in Ireland in impressive fashion. Only 9th last time in better company at Haydock and Josephine Gordon travels up for the ride.

What a gr8 looking race this is! I’ve backed Equimou each way @ 9/2. I can see this horse out classing this lot!

    Giid luck!

I haven’t got involved much at Ascot thank god! May just do a little Yankee and pray on some chancy outsiders.

2.20 Chelmsford Caged Lightning - this is the types I like to take a chance on. It had course and distance form and is down to a very winnabke mark, and it’s 8/1. I’m hoping it’s recent form was down to it not liking the tracks or it just had a couple of off days! I’m on a medium bet to win only!

Well what a load of shit that was! Took a chance on previous form and it ran like a 1 legged tortoise!

  7. Re Nosbor staking plan. I must admit this is my weakness! I’m really crap at sticking to these things! Sometimes I look at a race and think omg it can’t lose and I whack on a couple of hundred, when I’m betting for fun I sonetimes have a fiver each way or gi for some forecast or Acca! I think it all goes on personal circumstances! Anyways I checked my p & l and I’m up around 7k up for 2018 but I must admit when I win I treat the family or go on a big night out so I know I’ve spent it on something. So there’s my staking plan! Shambolic! But I never let it affect my household spend/bills. So I can’t talk nosbor! Good luck and smash the bookies all!

    Hello Nosbor,

I personally don’t do mathematical betting, not your kind anyway! I do like to either to try and work out the form and I sometimes get some info or guidance  form my job role and add it into the mix. So good luck in your picking! I now understand the logic in your picks! It’s just mathematical logic which I hope takes into account the usual factors. I do think that you should mention how you get to the picks for people who just bet blind on selections. I would sometimes say if I’ve been told by the ‘bloke in the pub’ or ‘my colleagues dad who is a trainer’ or my own picks with a bit of logic.

oh Billy (if that’s your name/stage name) you did make me laugh with your comment yesterday!

another from the book, worth an ew Red Handed W7:00 @ 10/1

up in trip, which is what I’ve got scribbled that he needed

I can see why you might go for this horse, although Wolf Hunter beat it convincingly last time and even with the claimer and a better a better start I don’t think that will be enough. Maybe betting without the fav, eway or forecast. I know it’s boring but I have backed Wolf Hunter with a good size bet. I think there is a race for Red Handed! Be interesting to see how it goes!

    Win bets :

    2.25    Wicked Sea    11-8

    3.25    Gumriyah    Evens

    3.55    Sunsprite    5-2

    4.25    Shabaaby (nap)    13-8

    4.55    Silca Mistress    10-3

    5.25    Maygold    5-2

    E/W bet:

    4.55    Eula Varner    9-1

My point is why would I put my hard earned cash on them? What is your angle/considerations? There are certain situations that you don’t back top speed horses! Most of these so called tipsters even forget there is a Claimer on some horses, don’t watch the videos and bang out tips in 5 minutes. What space do you fit in?

I had a look at these last night! A couple might win, so what’s your opinion and your staking plan of these? Bang on £500 on Shabaaby?

    Lol good luck on these!

I to am flicking between football, got stung on my Morocco bet!

I’ve found only 2 bets today that I’m willing to put my own cash on.

3.00 York - Weekender at 13/8 without Marmelo. I’m being cautious as I’m not sure how good Marmelo is? I don’t see any other dangers with Time To Study held especially over shorter!

3.15 Sandown - Via Serendipity 11/2 - what a price on this horse who can go on this ground. Beat Salt Whistle Bay on worse terms. I do have Gossiping on my watch list but it’s still a bit high in the weights so I’ve got it alarmed for another few pounds drop in my opinion. I’m actually going a hefty bet on this one. May be cautious and do it eway! I’ve given up on Almoreb!

    Another very profitable day!!!!!!

Morocco was my first world cup bet as well ………

my second is a double on Argentina and Croatia

Good luck with Via Serendipity which was certainly on my short list for that race ….. but it's a competitive race and I had quite a long short list !

I think I finally crossed it off because it looks a bit stuck on a mark of 90 having been beaten 1 or 2 lengths in it's last 3 runs. It seems that it has nothing in hand of the handicapper now. However it's obviously in good form and if it runs to it's mark it should be thereabouts again.

I can’t see Serbia losing on Sunday!! Got done decent players!

Oooh just got Weekender in for my bet (2nd to fav) nice profit!

I've been having a good run in the last month or so since I gave up trying to find 6/4 winners in small field Condition and Group races (with limited success !) and turned my attention to better priced handicap runners.

Most days I look at the better class 2, class 3 and some class 4 handicap races and stick to the all aged ones where there's a bit more form than the 3yo only races.

Lots of racing today so I've had a flit around the qualifying races and picked something in most of them to give me something to flick over to as a break from the footy (it's a 4 game marathon)

    Fancies

    York 1.50 - Desert Ruler 6/1, Armandihan 11/1

York 2.25 - Spanish City 5/2, The Feathered Nest 9/1

    Sand 2.35 - Rio Ronaldo 9/2

    Sand 3.15 - Chiefofchiefs 5/1

    York 4.05 - Duck Egg Blue 11/1, Destroyer 16/1

    Chester 4.55 - Spirit of Wedza 9/2

    Sand 5.35 - Precision 7/1, Bear Valley 28/1

    Leic 7.10 - Cheerfilly 11/1

That gives me plenty to watch !

    Lol good luck on these!
