That would have been some accumulator! 😁
-
Crikey, Littler destroyed Cross, thought Voltage would put up a fight there 🤔
-
Van Veen looks to have played pretty well, with another 100+ average but was edged out by an inspired Williams performance it seems.
-
Wattimena still keeping the flag flying at least! 😁
-
Lukeman at 150 is a surprise considering he made the final last week! I best get on over to Skybet as he'll be in to 80/1 soon Id imagine! And 80s on Van Veen could look like a steal in a few days time!
-
Just checked and he nailed four 100+ checkouts and missed double 12 for a nine darter early doors! 😁
-
Ridiculous standard from him. How many 100+ finishes did he take out? Must have been at least 5, outstanding performance from the young lad.
-
I tend to bet on the nose more often than e/w these days as some of the bookies will allow you to cash out and make a tidy profit if your player goes deep unexpectedly (from the market's perspective), whilst with e/w there's no cash out option, or at least not that I've seen anyway.
-
Not going to tempt fate again, but suffice it to say this is a quality match between Menzies and Mansell 😁
-
Or maybe not! 😆
-
Joyce is playing very well, his standard is practically as good as Van Veen so far and his finishing has been lethal. This is another match which could well end up going to a deciding leg.
-
Well I shouldn't be surprised that VdB would mightily screw it up and somehow contrive to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. 🙈 How many missed match darts was it, 5? 6? I lost count, he had so many chances. Shambles. 🤡
-
He absolutely bottled it, after playing really well for the first half of the match. Frustrating.
-
Wade is playing with real confidence, he should finish off the job once they come back. I don't think Menzies has the character to take this now that he's a couple of legs behind, he'll be frustrated to have let Wade off the hook when he was 4-2 ahead.
-
Wade and Menzies is a cracking match so far, both players are up for it and Menzies isn't clowning around, looks like he means business (for a change!) 😆 This one could go all the way to a deciding leg.
-
Noppert not at the races at all here, 180s aside, great opportunity for Mansell to claim quarter final spot.
-
Another one I like is 9/2 for over 4.5 180s in the Wade match and the Cross match with Boylesports. That has to have a good chance so long as Menzies makes an effort.
-
Was just thinking the same on Wade, he's way more solid than Menzies, it's actually quite a good price on Wade to win and the handicap like you're saying, as Menzies could quite easily go awol mentally and end up losing 10-3 or something like that.
-
Yes, I agree. Although Joyce is one of those players who isn't easily beaten, even when his average is ten points worse off than his opponent. It will come down to whether Van Veen doubles well, if he does then he wins this 10-5, if he doesn't though, this could be very close, a 10-8 or 10-9 is quite possible.
-
80/1 certainly won't last long, I've taken some of that too, he's playing top 5 in the world darts at the moment. Let's hope he keeps it up for at least a couple more months!
-
Ridiculous standard with Gian and Wessel. Shame Wessel has to go home, he should have taken this game too, had Gian on the rack but the Dutchman hung in there and snatched the win from under Wessel's nose. Van Veen is going to take some stopping at this rate.
-
Unbelievable. Littler scores a 130 checkout and somehow gets undone by a 148 from Ilagan to nuke mine and many other punters' full house bet! 😆🙈😐.
-
And Anderson, underwhelming performance from the Scot and got completely owned by Nora-Lynn on the 180s. Poor stuff, especially considering how good he's been up til this.
-
Remarkably Menzies squeezes through despite getting thrashed by Beau! 😆 (Had she beaten him 5-0 she would have gone through!) Frustratingly the Scot threw several 180s but that aside he was poor, his finishing particularly was woeful, 1 from 11! 🙈 All that being said though, I wonder how much of it was due to him playing a woman and not being able to adjust to that, possibly crowd factor too played a part. 🤔

It's not the most imaginative bet but Cross to beat Wright and score most 180s at 6/4 (Paddy Power) looks decent to me. Unless Wrighty discovers some inspiration from somewhere, it's hard to see him challenging Voltage here, and he's not hitting many 180s of late. I also think Edhouse will beat Chizzy, typically it's 8/15, Chisnall has been having back issues and now that he's out of the tournament I can't see him caring hugely about overcoming an Edhouse who's full of confidence after two solid wins and a tournament win.
