  1. Rublev is holding his serve with ease while Felix is having to work to keep up with him on his own serve. If it continues in this vein you'd expect Andrej will get over the line.
  2. MVG delivers a truly pathetic performance vs Aspinall. 🫣 Nathan played very well it has be to said but that's a shockingly poor effort from Van Gerwen. Hopefully Nathan will keep this standard up and put it up to an impressive Price. Good to see the Welshman making waves again.
  3. I see bet365 are now giving a bet boost on MVG for 11/2 to win the night.
  4. @neilovan Draper is 14/1 with Bet365
  5. Perhaps Ostapenko is cooked after giving her all last week, probably even first round losers come away with a reasonable bit of money for these Saudi tournaments.
  6. Yes, I have to agree, I've been stung too many times by Jarry in matches he should have, on paper, won easily, only for the Argentine to completely crumble and get easily beaten, even having his massive serve broken on several occasions by players of similar stature to Schwartzmann. Lesson learned, he's simply not a player that can be relied upon.
  7. Bunting gone! He played well enough but didn't nail enough doubles, and missed two darts for the match. But that's the best I've seen Noppert play for a long time, full of confidence, hitting 180s regularly and his finishing was top notch. Humphries seems to be getting better with each round but based on this performance Noppert has to have a chance.
  8. Impressive last couple of sets from Dmi, started hitting his doubles and nailed a brilliant 9 darter!
  9. Dmitri should be winning this match but just 5 checkouts from 20 opportunities has left him level at 2 sets apiece. Still could win though if he can just get his doubling sorted.
  10. Well McGill really should have won that match, Wilson was there for the taking but that extra bit of class and composure that wins you titles wasn't there for the Scot and he bottled away his 3-1 and 4-3 leads against an unconvincing Wilson. Guodong is playing better than Wilson, hope he can keep his head tomorrow and make it through to the final as Wilson can count himself lucky he's not making his way back to Blighty right now.
  11. So typical of Cross, beats Bunting in the final of his last tournament and spectacularly crashes out in the first round in the very next one. 🫣 Absolute muppet.
  12. Any thoughts on this fellows? Bunting has to be a serious contender considering his recent form, he's 10/1 generally. Littler probably comes through the bottom section but he's very short at 2/1 typically and hasn't won his last two tournaments, so I won't pull the trigger on him for now anyway.
  13. O'Connor turned up though thankfully! 😁 I took the outright 150/1 on him with Paddy, long shot but you never know.
  14. Cheers Torque, I've tended to stick with the Sportsbook just for the sake of simplicity and brevity, but yeh I know I should really look into the exchange especially if I'm looking to get the best odds on these markets.
  15. cheers Fader, the bookies quickly shut down those tasty odds unfortunately, Guodong typically at 16s and Gilbert at 33s
  16. Zverev let me down on the aces, just needed one more for a big payout 🫣 finished down as a result, not by a huge amount, but still annoying. When it comes to the crunch, Sasha never fails to not deliver! 🤣🫣
  17. Shelton is 25s with Will Hill. Presuming he servebombs his way past Sonego, that 25/1 begins to look like a tasty price, even with the prospect of facing Sinner in the semi (barring De Minaur pulling off a major upset).
  18. Svitolina is 33/1 still on William Hill, maybe worth a small wager
  19. Some bizarre matches in the men's. Hard to know how good or otherwise the likes of Rune and Draper are, as at times in their last matches they were incredibly flakey, and both probably should have been put away by their opponents, but both players eventually got their acts together and won their matches in the end. And now here they are in the last sixteen, but with a lot of tennis in their legs, I'd be surprised see either of them making the quarters.
  20. Well, as Torque and I feared, Machac is not able to compete with even this lesser version of Novak. Shame, Perhaps his time will come, but it looks like he still has a way to go before he can mix it with the big boys.
  21. Agreed. I remember being very underwhelmed by his performances in Wimbledon this year where he just about got over the line against Goffin, then surrendered quite tamely in the next round. Different surface I know but it left me doubting whether Machac has the ability and temperament to challenge the top players, at least at this point in his development. (Now he'll probably go out and destroy Novak in straights! 😆)
  22. Interesting to see Bencic progressing well. I remember her Olympics finals where she sprung a medical timeout at a key point of the final set just as Vondorousova was starting to gain some momentum. If such tactics come into play vs Osaka, the Japanese Haitian player might struggle to adapt to it, especially considering how fragile psychologically she has been in recent years.
  23. Fonseca in to 17/1 with Paddy Power. Ye Gods. The lad is very talented no question and could go on a run but still pretty mad to see this price at this stage.
  24. Badosa is not the most reliable of players and her recent form is nothing to write home about, hence I would be careful of betting on the Spaniard. The only thing that comes to mind is that she plays a lot of three set matches, so the overs might be worth a look, but personally I'd keep the stakes small with such an inconsistent player as Badosa.
  25. I forgot about Pegula who could be Gauff's QF opponent but again I don't see this steelier version of Coco falling at that hurdle either.
