So far you'd have been 67 points up blindly buying the hotshots but I think it's fair to say we'll need a bit more data than that to start drawing any conclusions! 

Yes the victory of Hungary (at around 5.80), the victory of Slovack (at 3.50) and the victory, yesterday, of N. Ireland (at 5.5) made the big profit...around 6 unity to punt 1 unity each..

It may yet not be the final tally for the season but that's where we stand so far after two bet-free weeks. I make it that betting to advised (as opposed to level) stakes would see you 4.48 points up with a yield of 15.04%.
I'd be interested to know if anyone's been following the selections at all, or at least taking an interest in how they perform.
Keeping the thread updated was a bit of a chore until I decided to start buying the Ipad edition of the paper every Friday night, which was also the only way to give myself a decent chance of getting on at the price. As luck would have it, I hit a decent run of results and the paper more than paid for itself.
28 of the 37 bets were with 365 who were not, shall we say, too keen to hold the price for long on the Saturday morning.

Because you are using a simple formula and goals are not the best measure of team quality. They are rare events and subject to chance. Also, a high scoring game can skew a team's average. 
You may want to read about Expected Goals. Here is a good article.

This thread seems to be driving a coach and horses through the rules for posting in systems and strategy. No indication of odds or bookie before or after the event, an ROI claimed where most of the bets were placed before the thread was started., no indication of the ROI of the bets actually posted in the thread. I'd say it belongs in the glory hunts thread but I'm not sure it would even be compliant with the rules for there.
Or am I being unduly harsh?
