    1.10 Doncaster - 1pt win Albaflora @ 6/1 Bet365
Taking on the favourite here for all she won well last time - her two main rivals couldn't get involved from off the pace when it favoured being up with the gallop and the horse in second has let the form down since so I'm siding with Albaflora. For all she ran okay at York and even on that effort would go close here, I did think she'd run better than that and can bounce back here. She's not the quickest so I hope she goes forward and makes the running today in a small field and tries to dominate from the front.
    1.40 Doncaster - 1pt e/w Hochfeld @ 14/1 Bet365
Despite successfully backing the favourite at York, I'm happy to take on at a short price given the potential bounce factor returning quite quickly after his first start in a long time and also with the extra couple of furlongs taking him into the unknown. In fact, a few of these have something to prove and I think at the price, it could be worth siding with the battle hardened Hochfeld who won at Goodwood under these conditions recently and has been higher rated in the past. Not been as good on soft since but his best form has come on a sound surface and with 8 runners set to go to post here, has a decent chance of making the frame.
    2.10 Doncaster - 3pts win Ghalyoon @ 11/4 Hills
Some will remember that I put this one up last time as an absolute handicap blot but was incredibly weak in the betting on his first run after a lengthy absence. In the end he defied that to go very close and is just 1lb higher here. Looks very much primed to strike and I think will win today if not bouncing.
    3.15 Doncaster - 2pts win Eagles by Day @ 11/2 Hills
Backed this one a few times this season and I really think he's got a big staying prize in him and today is an easier race than what he's competed in recently. Race wasn't run to suit at York and I can see this one travelling into this nicely and wrapping it up late on - I hope at least.
    4.00 Chester - 1pt e/w Lincoln Park @ 8/1 Bet365
Will enjoy the return to Chester where much of his best form has come after fading late on at Haydock over a testing 7f on soft ground last time. I think 7f around Chester is his ideal conditions and especially if he can go forward and race prominently throughout - couldn't get the position when last running over c&d and had to settle for a staying on 2nd from off the pace and despite going forward over 6f here the next time, just didn't have the speed late on. If bouncing out from stall 5 and racing handily, think he could take some pegging back today.

Have to take a bit of a chance with this filly but was very impressive on debut at Haydock in a race that worked out very well and on that evidence is well handicapped today. Although well held ultimately at Royal Ascot, she ran better than the bare result, travelling best of all and leading a couple of furlongs out before the pace collapsed - nothing that was up with the pace finished within 7 lengths of Dandalla and the first three were all held up so she just did too much too soon that day. Flopped up to 7f on soft last time having raced too freely but she has lots of pace, back to 6f a good thing, quicker ground ought to not inconvenience and has had a break to hopefully get her back to top form. If bouncing back she can go well here off a mark of 84.
    2.10 Doncaster - 1pt e/w Dubai Fountain @ 14/1 Bet365
A few of these have plenty of potential and the race won at Ascot by the favourite looked likely to be a good race at the time. That said, I thought the battle-hardened Dubai Fountain could go well from the front. Has been competing in good races over 7f but has been outspeeded late in the day and although you could say she's been vulnerable late on, I think it's more to do with speed than stamina. The step up to a mile can actually suit I believe, especially given the stamina in her pedigree and might be able to grind out a good performance with more experience than most.
    2.40 Doncaster - 1pt e/w Dark Lion @ 9/1 Bet365
Shaped very well on debut against a pace bias at Newmarket when sent off favourite and ran a solid, if slightly odd race at Ascot when not really travelling but coming home okay for 4th on the wrong part of the track. Did comfortably the best of those racing towards the near side and ultimately it was a solid run. Got off the mark at Wolverhampton when travelling well over 7f before being closed on towards the finish and again shaped okay over 7f last time in a Group 3 at Sandown. To me, I think he wants to come back down in trip which he gets today and this 6 1/2f trip might prove perfect for him. Has blinkers on first time which is interesting given he doesn't always travel great and hopefully can come roaring back here.
    3.15 Doncaster - 2pts win Vivionn @ 11/2 Bet365
Believe in Love is extremely progressive but this is tougher and I like Vivionn here who has rock solid form in the book over 1m4f, typically staying on without the finishing kick of one in front of her and is most interesting stepping up to 1m6f. She's a full sister to a 110 rated filly who saw out 2 miles no problem and this one's running style, including when 2nd last time out, makes her an ideal candidate the extra 2 furlongs today. Expect a rock solid run here.
    3.45 Doncaster - 2pts win Cold Front @ 8/1 Bet365
Ran too bad to be true at York and can bounce back here. Thought at the time there were some strange performances that meeting and we've already seen some horses who flopped there bounce right back since, including Favorite Moon. This one is well handicapped on both runs prior to that York appearance and I'm sure will be winning soon off a mark similar to this - hopefully it can be today.
    4.15 Doncaster - 1pt win Call Me Ginger @ 13/2 Bet365
Fancied him at Goodwood two starts back when last of all but clearly wasn't quite right that day as he never really went and proved himself to still be in decent nick when going well from behind at Chester last time - couldn't get involved there but came home well and did best of those held up. Conditions suit more today and he's more than capable of going in off this mark.

    1.00 Newton Abbot - 2pts win Eye of an Eagle @ 9/2 Bet365
Favourite has solid credentials but saddles a penalty here and I thought Eye of an Eagle might be able to take advantage. Probably should have won at Fontwell last time when getting lonely and hanging towards the stands up the run in but was also entitled to need the run and should enjoy the return to a less testing track today. The form of the race it ran in two starts back was pretty strong and again only faded late on after a lengthy absence beforehand. Gets to run here off the back of a recent run and looks capable of getting off the mark.
    1.10 Catterick - 1pt win Party Rebel @ 6/1 Bet365
Favourite has form in the book but looks beatable and on pedigree I like the chances of Mark Johnston's Party Rebel. This one's dam was a smart 2 year old and Party Rebel is a full sister to Rebel Assault who has proved very talented and won on its debut at Catterick by 8 lengths. Lots of evidence to suggest she'll be good to go first time out and hopefully will go the same way as her sister today!
    1.40 Catterick - 1pt win Jill Rose @ 6/1 Bet365
Was beaten 6 lengths last time but never could get involved from a midfield sit and this one would have a big chance on its narrow defeat at Thirsk earlier in the season. Runs off the same mark here and her only career win came when dominating from the front on soft ground over 6 furlongs. Her best form has come when racing handily which she couldn't do last time and I'm hoping she's given a positive ride here and can pour it on from the front under testing conditions.
    2.25 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Torbellino @ 9/1 Bet365
This is an easier race for Torbellino who couldn't quite see it out having raced freely on the all-weather last time. Wasn't beaten far thought and this trip and track should suit on a return to turf. Was never going here when last tried but has novice form on turf so hopefully it won't inconvenience and I can see this one racing handily around here and kicking on up the straight. Don't think he'll come back as readily today against some poor rivals and hopefully can find enough to keep rolling.
    3.15 Newton Abbot - 1pt win Midnight Midge @ 11/2 PP
Has run well in two novice chases this season despite having a limited chance at the weights and this should represent calmer waters now going handicapping off a mark of 120. Should enjoy going around here from a handy position and has a much better chance of holding off the competition on this occasion in easier company. Decent enough mark based on good hurdles form last year under similar conditions so hopefully can get off the mark over fences today.
    3.50 Newton Abbot - 1pt e/w Bluebell Sally @ 16/1 Bet365
Only a modest race and this mare is nothing to write home about either but has shaped better since going chasing this season, running a solid 3rd behind an in-form horse two starts back on seasonal reappearance and then fell when in with a shout over 3 miles last time. She's a full sister to a 3 mile chaser so is relatively unexposed since tackling fences and longer trips so if she can put it all together today could look a big price at the finish.
    4.40 Goodwood - 1pt win Smart Champion @ 7/1 Bet365
Have to back this one again at such a big price. Been easy in the market but Stag Horn needs to improve again despite hacking up at Catterick - the ground made life tricky for horses on that occasion and there were a lot of big winning distances. Smart Champion has been running in the big staying handicaps very well but will need to be tactically ridden here given he stays 2m4f strongly so I don't want him to be messing around off a slow pace. Hopefully he's alive to the threat and can utilise that extra stamina late on.

    1.00 Lingfield - 3pts win Power of States @ 11/2 Bet365
I think this horse wins today. Conditions are ideal, he's in form and this isn't the strongest of races. 1m2f is his trip having faded late on over 1m4f in decent races this year and you can draw a line through his run at Chester last time. Travelled well off the pace but had a wall of horses in front when the race developed turning in and then found traffic everywhere he went up the straight. Was eased down late on despite being full of running and shouldn't have the same difficulties finding a clear run at this venue. Looks primed to strike.
    1.30 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Abound @ 11/1 Bet365
Interesting to see the market support for this one on handicap debut with the blinkers applied. Hasn't been up to much to date but ran in a couple of decent novice races that worked out quite well. Goes handicapping off a lowly mark and having failed to travel last time, the blinkers make sense to try and liven it up a bit today. Dam was a useful enough middle distance horse so conditions suit and given the nibble in the market, better seems to be expected today off a lowly mark.
    1.50 Leicester - 1pt win House Deposit @ 6/1 Hills
Has been shaping as if ready to win again recently and although form has dipped the last twice I think there are excuses there - certainly over a mile where he's failed to convince on the stamina front and again couldn't quite go through with his effort at Redcar last time over 7f on soft. Although he handles cut in the ground, both his soft ground wins have come over 6f and the combination of 7f and deep conditions was probably just a touch too much for him there. The ground today is riding quicker and under similar conditions he's gone very close off this mark earlier on in the season so should be able to bounce back with a better run today.
    2.40 Perth - 1pt win His Dream @ 8/1 PP
The first two in the market here have to prove they stay the trip and the third comes here quickly off the back of a shock win last week so I'm looking further afield and siding with chasing debutant His Dream who has plenty of form under similar conditions over hurdles and has a chance if jumping well here. Picked up a cut when disappointing last time but otherwise is fairly consistent and if not losing out at his fences, can go well.
    3.30 Lingfield - 0.5pts e/w Lily Beach @ 33/1 Bet365
Certainly have to take a bit of a leap of faith with this one but you can totally put a line through her handicap debut over 1m2f on soft as she wouldn't stay that trip at all and for all her form in novice races isn't great, her mark reflects that and hasn't been totally devoid of promise. Was never going to threaten the prominent racers at Kempton three starts back and that race has worked out pretty well with the first 5 home comfortably rated in the 70s or above now. Lily Beach wasn't given a hard time and was still beaten less than 10 lengths all in. Again was down the field at Yarmouth but travelled well and ended up racing a bit of a solo out on the far rail which didn't seem to be the place to be, so can mark that up a bit too. This is weak and with 9 runners, I thought she was worth a chance with the tongue tie on and back to a more plausible race in a handicap.
    3.50 Leicester - 1pt e/w Dusk Art @ 18/1 PP
Does have a bit to find on figures here but hasn't been disgraced on two 5f runs to date and can improve on its mark upped to 6f I think. The form of that debut race has worked out well when Dusk Art made some progress from last late on and again wasn't disgraced last time. That was on soft ground, however, so it might be that the return to a sounder surface helps too and the extra furlong in a weak race will help. Has a chance of making the frame at a big price I hope.

    12.45 Ascot - 1pt e/w Siam Fox @ 12/1 Hills
I think those with a run are beatable so chancing a newcomer here and I like the prospects of Richard Hannon's runner. He's the only half brother to the high class horse Fox Champion (who coincidentally also runs today) and is bred to be smart at 2 with Prince of Lir's stud career off to a strong start. The yard can get one ready to go first time out so I think he looks a fair price here.
    1.45 Haydock - 1pt e/w Kinross @ 17/2 Bet365
Backed this one in the 2000 Guineas when running a sound enough race without being able to muster up the speed to finish anywhere other than midfield but was far from disgraced on his first outing of the season and ran okay in France last time. Does need to step up but drops in grade here and his only previous experience with ease in the ground was when a very impressive debut winner. Both his sire, Kingman, and his dam enjoyed soft conditions so this could help today and in calmer waters could get back in the groove.
    1.55 Ascot - 1pt e/w Concierge @ 17/2 Hills
Quite a few of these look handicapped to their best but Concierge has run off higher marks in the past and got a deserved win at Bath last time out over 5f on soft. Was convincing that day, putting his extra stamina to good use as he stays 6f no problem and I think it could be a similar story here. There looks lots of pace on here and I think this one can come through late to challenge if getting the splits. This will be harder than last time but with question marks over some of the others and their handicap marks, this is one who could eek out some more improvement as is fairly unexposed over the trip.
    2.00 Kempton - 1pt win Mighty Gurkha @ 7/1 Bet365
Hasn't done much wrong in his career to date and was a mightily impressive winner on his only start on the all-weather to date. Can write off his effort in France last time when very slowly away and bumped into what looks a very smart horse in Method two starts back. Has the best form in the book to me and whilst others are more unexposed, I'll take the proven form at 7/1 here.
    2.30 Ascot - 1pt e/w Look Around @ 12/1 Bet365
The handicapper has relented a bit on this one and she appeals now off a mark of 98 with a further 5lbs taken off by her jockey. Has plenty of form in group races that make this look a fair enough mark and has had excuses when not quite running up to it this season - needing her first run back, outstayed having travelled well over 1m2f next time and then ran well here last time where it paid to come from off the pace - still finished a creditable 3rd having led briefly at the furlong pole and with a more patient ride here I think 10/1 could look a big price.
    2.50 Ascot - 1pt e/w Just in Time @ 12/1 Bet365
Bounced back from a lengthy absence with two good runs this season over 2 miles but shaped as if a stiff 1m6f would be more up his street. Is only 1lb higher than when winning a good race back in 2018 having displayed a very progressive profile. Looks as if just as good here and has gone well on previous starts on soft. The 2f shorter trip today can be the key and see the progression shown a couple of years ago continue.
    3.25 Haydock - The Tin Man @ 14/1 Bet365
Has a bit to find on form but went well last time out when narrowly beaten and will relish the softer conditions here. Has an excellent record in this race - an unlucky second to Hello Youmzain last year, a winner on deep ground in 2018 and a good 3rd in a hot renewal won by Harry Angel in 2017. Never run a bad race at Haydock so a good chance this will be his best run of the season here and looks an each-way chance at a healthy price.
