1.50 Musselburgh Conditions 2YO 5 f. DONNY ROVER(my 2yo to follow.) No prices at the moment, However ill take sp. 11lb turn around on Micks Yer Man, who is likely to be odds on, he is a very good 2yo, however I have to follow my selection. It is noticeable that he books G.Gibbons, a much stronger jockey than last weeks, and he does have a very good book of rides for a cracking meeting. Ive said DONNY ROVER will be better over the minimum trip, and could turn out to be listed class. A negative besides the FAV, it may well be over and the fav flown again, however, he has a decent draw. And there is now way he will finish 14 lens behind this FAV tomorrow. A reverse fc may be the way to go, if you dont fancy the win bet. Only 7 runners, so e/w may be an option depending on the price.:ok
    NR..
  4. Re: THE GRAND NATIONAL 2013 April 6th

Balthazar King very interesting if he runs. 33s looks a good price considering he jumps well' date=' stays well and goes very well fresh. Won the cross country at Cheltenham last year and the weather looks set fair for the next week or so. Not sure how the ground will end up but if it's not too testing then there must be far worse 33/1 shots out there.[/quote'] Any Soft in the going description, is to tally against it, the days before the taps..But you never know with this track n ground, Definately best to wait, cos if its soft,,he will be pulled out, and then straight to sandown.

  6. The hight street mainly..are cramping the odds, by declaring NRNB, but they want their cake, by adding a rule4....:@:@:@:@:@:@ So lets be clever about it guys. Can we put some pointers/advice so we dont get shafted, in the biggest betting race in the world. By our freindly Local.:rollin Here is my advice For Grand National betting, so you dont get hit with the Bookies small print RULE 4, Wait until Tuesday morning...The majority will go NRNB, and by then check your horse, 1. Has a jockey booked in the RP 2. Go onto the trainers website, just check his/her latest comments. Double declarations etc 3. Check betfair, make sure there is no drift. 4. If your horse is slightley out of the top 40, there may be guranteed NR's above, as they have run in the Irish national. You then should be in the picture of were you stand. ABOVE ALL ELSE ...THEY(the bookies) WILL CRAMP THE BOOK EVEN MORE IN THE LAST 24 HRS. VERY RARE THEY STICK THEIR NECK OUT ON A HORSE ON SATURDAY MORNING...Check betfair, to see if you are getting a fair price. Look for first 5, or even 6 e/w terms online...NONE OF THE HIGH ST..Apart from PADDY POWER, (maybe) will go first 5, SHOP AROUND. Dont be lazy. :ok Ps dont play those pesky machines when your in there...Even if it is free, the first hit always is.:sad

  7. Re: Turning the screw Oh the old have their cake n eat it....small print of course., not just ladbrokes, several are the same. To offer Ante post and declare a rule 4, is nothing but a F disgrace, The biggest race in the world, and they still want you over a barrel. 8. Re: The Lincoln

Ye Captain Bertie is well under priced, I agree. I really wana back Justonefortheroad but not sure he'll get 8f under these conditions. If the ground isnt too soft (havent checked weather, current ground etc) come Saturday I might back him. If this was over 7f I'd be lumping on, well handicapped with Lee Topliss taking 3 off, ground fine, great record first time out.
1 mile n 60yards leic, soft ground won. He is drawn in the middle, I dont see him being out of the frame. Age is a trend against him, thats the only thing. Bomb proof e/way for me. First 5.:ok
  9. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

Just got back from town, was gonna say almost the same. I had a feeling because it was odds on it was going to lose, I didn't have the balls to back the winner though. A Culhane looked like he was suffering from arthritis the way he finished. At odds on its not a gambling proposition, when it's between 5/1 and 10/1 is when they'll strike because there will be plenty of liquidity and you can pile on with ease.
im no vet, but to me it looked lame. see tomorrow if the stewards publish anything.
  10. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

2.45 Ling Jo Hughes, Paul Blockley, Tony PULHANE..wow, Annalay My Darling...What a drift pre race..3.75 - 8.0, in two mins,, in a 5 horse race Not a word said from ATR, take a look at his ride turning for home, stiff as a board in the saddle, all those place lays landed. Blockley and Pulhane,,should have never ever be allowed back into the game, corruption is deep in their blood. I did not have a penny invested, but anyone just in the game, stay away from this phoney trilogy.:ok
Thet are making HAY with this 1,,,4 runners ODDS on, 1/10 on the place market, on Betfair, first two count, 1 nr...Finished 3rd. Dont you just love this trilogy ..2 of them confirmed cheats, and let back into the game. :welcome
  11. Re: THE GRAND NATIONAL 2013 April 6th

a few trends for the race positive trends horses aged 10+ have won 15 of the 23 runnings [and 18 of the last 19 were aged 9+] 8 of the last 10 winners had run over hurdles at some stage earlier in the season look to a horse likely to be ridden prominetly previous experience over these fences has been handy though not crucial the top 8 in the betting have a better than most believe negative trends no winner since 1970 has failed to win over at least 3 miles no 7 yr old has won for 73 yrs treat horses comming of a long break with caution a hard race at the cheltenham festival often leaves its mark only 1 of the last 14 winners had won more than once earlier in the season
    Much appreciated.:ok
  12. Re: BBOTD Thursday 28th

14.40 Wolverhampton: Lady Of Burgundy @ 7/2 Bet365 I thought Lady Of Burgundy ran a huge race over course and distance ten days ago when she clearly didn't have things going her way. She travelled well in rear for a long time but had to sit and suffer when the eventual winner, who the had run of the race, kicked away from the front from 4f out. Lady Of Burgundy was locked on the inside and had to wait until approaching the home straight to get out there and starting a challenge. The eventual winner was many lengths in front already at this point but Lady Of Burgundy really finished super strongly and was only 2 lengths beaten in the end. She looks well handicapped judged on this performance in my mind, now down to a career lowest mark.
Got a chance, but you would be worried about the two Peter Hiatt runners, could have this race cooked between them, And he won the last...GL tho.:ok

  14. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 27th

4.30 Wetherby - 1pt win Dermatologiste @ 7/1 (PP) Caroline Bailey is among the winners at the moment and this horse shaped well on his return from a year off at Bangor in gruelling conditions last time out. She moved up through the field but weakened in the marathon contest but went well for a long way and travelled very wide throughout at that sharpish track. That should have set her up for this and she's been given a breather since to ensure she's ready. She won over that c&d at Bangor in 2011 and is back down to that mark now and does stay very well which helps. The yard were a little bit out of form after she won that race so her two efforts after that can be marked up slightly and she ran well enough last time to suggest she'll go well here with fitness back on her side. The favourite is tough to beat on paper but won a weak race last time and take him out and it's 5/1 the field. 7s looks fair and I'm confident of a good run.
Didnt have a bet in the race, but excellent spot n write up BFR. Nice price.:ok
  15. Re: THE GRAND NATIONAL 2013 April 6th 11 days to go. TONY McCOY will ride either Sunnyhillboy or Colbert Station in the John Smith's Grand National after he narrowed down owner JP McManus's six-strong squad of contenders to two. McCoy, who won his only National on the McManus-owned Don't Push It in 2010, now has to decide whether to side with last year's second Sunnyhillboy or the progressive Colbert Station.

  16. Re: BBOTD 26th March

Fairy Wing has showed decent pace over 6f before so I think that one will go the pace' date=' but with some real speedsters on here you could be right. I like the way he travelled lto before not finding as much as it looked at one point, I'm interested in those sorts dropped in trip. The weight pull with Thorpe Bay is a big concern though but a big difference in price at the moment. I'm interested to see the prices when they open up, if Thorpe Bay touches 11/4-3/1 then I could be tempted.[/quote'] You may get it,,Money coming for Rambo will, Yes you have to be up there with the pace on this surface, trying to make 3 lens in 300 yards doesnt work here, But Rambo will wont be dictating his own fractions here, they will blister thru the first 3 furlongs. Thats why i favour, something that gets 5 1/2 all day. As for the 6f race the other day, the 6lb swing plus DE 3lb, is a no brainer, IMO.
  17. Re: Antepost bets for the Lincoln not being void by Betfred However just to highlight that they don't always I read with interest, again in today's RFO that boylesports, who don't enjoy the best of reputations, refunded all win & ew singles on Viva Ronaldo who missed the break from the stalls last Friday when Samantha Bell was too slow getting the blindfold off. Ok they probably had hardly taken a penny on it but fair play to them because under the rules they didn't have to. See IMO, that then confuses the situation even more, We have 6 months of quality flat, if that happens to a FAV in a big race, by an apprentice..Is that a normal situation you will expect from Boyles?, certainly a good marketing tool to exploit, given the right wording. I do try to help bookies with marketing ideas.:cigar

  18. Re: BBOTD 26th March

Im pretty stumped with this race now Ryedale Dancer has been pulled' date=' had quite a strong suspicion that one would outrun its price. Now I dunno what to think, I agree with markmywords that Marshall Art is probably over priced at 40/1 in an 8 runner race, wouldnt be surprised to see that one place. On form alone Fairy Wing shouldnt be available at 10/1, but dont trust those connections for a second so tough to back such a drifter. Wish I'd backed Rambo Will last night at 7s, think he'll go close. Then you make a pretty compelling case for Thorpe Bay, the jockey booking is definitely an eye catcher. So all in all, f*ck knows, I'll watch and moan that I was gunna back the winner[/quote'] There is no doubt, Rambo Will .& Lesleys choice.Spic n Span. Will take them along if they are to stand any chance. My feeling is they will do too much, and be fading in the final furlong. Cutting each other throats. As Thorpe Bay is housed in the middle of them he should be right on their tales, getting pulled into it, and Hopefully the extra staying power will see him thru. I dont trust the VJ yard, however there is no eveidence to say Fairy wing, will be able to go this pace today, and the weight diff, Not for me. Thorpe Bay will never get a better chance today, for how this race will play out. Chateau Lola n Steel City Boy, will be staying on past beaten horses for me.:D
