Re: Question ISIRIS...& RIX...Claimed the world. If anyone needs to pay, more money than sense.:wall I dont and will never understand anyone who would part with money, for second hand information. Its different, if you got the word for 1, then you could decifer yourself the merits of the information, You then only have yourself to blame if it goes belly up. I always think back to the MINDER episode on the 80's...Absolute classic.:rollin

Re: The Trainers Thread
;) Exactley...DONNY ROVER..;) ;)Wasn't specifically tipping any individual horses, just highlighting trainers to watch out for. The 2 mentioned Charles Hills and Bill Turner both had one runner and both won. Will probably cut and paste this and use it in 51 weeks time. On a side note, the Brocklesby is often a strong race and the subsequent collateral form will be very good, for the next few weeks. Don't be scared to consider beaten horses from this race, even if they were at the back of the field. -
Re: Turning the screw There now must be alot of people, especially the OLD , trying to keep warm in these times. And if they put a £2 bet on, Nohalmdone, Cheaper than putting the heating on. Plus some banter, and free papers to read. Problem is for all that they are welcome from the staff with a smile.....The men at the top dont want this punter anymore, The L15 50p of this world. A bang of sand in the FOBT is what they want, alas the times are closing in..£2 max spin by the end of the year:nana, Then and only then will the offers come back, Thank god our goverment is finally doing something over the machines, Better for all punters in the UK, the sooner it happens.:ok

Re: Doncaster weather and ground Friday n Saturday
Despite passing an initial inspection first thing, Newbury will now check again at 10am. The track had light snow overnight but it has become heavier and officials have decided to look again in a few hours. There is still hope. 2/5 it will, Betfair. Beware The IDES of March...If we are only left with Southwell.Still snowing so another check @ 10.00 AM for Newbury (wouldnt hold much hope) -
Re: WC > Europe Qualification > 22 - 23 March ive just noticed on bf..there is a 2 million bet being offered for england to win. if they do, this bet would earn you 20k, less of course your fat cat commision, maybe a 10k profit. are firms that stupid?

Re: AMAZING ???? Sushhhhhhhhhh! Everyone will want a piece of the action.:ok

Re: BBOTD - Friday 22nd of March 7pm wolves BUBBLY BAILEY 7/1 S James Well up to this at his best, and the champagne club like to have a tilt. Must have been a nightmare for the young Robert Tart to get here tonight, but I assume he has made it. I honestly beleive that the place to be is in in front, and with no other confirmed front runner i can see him nicking it, especially with the ground at wolves clogs together in this weather and the kick back must feel like bullets. 9/10 win bet.

Re: Doncaster Thread
LOLLLOLOL No Serious,,,she was first in, looking into the camera, and talking to the jockeys around her. I think she completely forgot there was a blind on. £140 fine she got. Which is no consolation. Agree that anything like that, for any Jockey, needs to be put on a full days training course, as a mandatory measure.Haha, was gunna say the same, didnt get a proper look though before she put her goggles down. Someone find her twitter, expect she'll need to delete it if she's got one after that shocker. Awaits Primevil telling us she was in on the coup with connections to land a huge place lay just before the off. -
Re: Doncaster Thread Rest bite for the bookies. Yeomanoftheguard outstays them, at 14/1(33/1 bsp)

Re: Black Caviar going for number 24, Friday 22nd, 10:45 am Live on ATR.
It's impressive to see how much the Australians make of this. A real event' date=' a special moment, to savour for everyone who wants to witness it. I agree it mightnot look like competitive racing considering how easily it does it all. But it just because she is that good. It's not that she beats nothing. She simply is so good and makes it look so simple. Like Frankel did as well. For me this is the pure demonstration of class and I think it's just wonderful. Watching a thoroughbred in full flight, travelling on the bridle under a motionless rider while pulling clear of fully driven rivals - it's just a feast for the eyes.[/quote'] Hear Hear!:clap -
Re: Doncaster Thread
Did it well John Porter. Group 3 April 20thNo probs with fitness or ground, so as you say the only question is the weight. Can he make the step forward? Not sure But best of luck, hope he does it for you. Myself I dont think the FAV will be an easy nut to crack. To hard a race for me. -

Small field isn't ideal but I think he has continued to run well since winning impressively here at the track. Has looked unlucky at times in Dubai so fingers crossed for a good run. -
Re: Doncaster Thread
Funny how the markets on Heavy ground, tell you how its going to go tho. First 2 heavily backed ones dot up...Is it a blind FAV day?Hardly surprising when the winner had about 50lbs in hand -

Re: The Trainers Thread
Oh ..:(.All i did was avoid laying him, that would have been suicide.I knew it, you knew it, everyone knew it, same every year, yet I still ignored it and didnt back it. Looked the winner about a furlong out -

Re: The Trainers Thread
I hope everyone took notice of the exellent erhaab1965...Old arses like ourselves are aware of "bootstraps", but well done for pointing out, Very decent winner, will win some decent races IMO...Donny Rover the one to take out of the race IMO:okThe flat is back and one trainer I always keep an eye on at this time of year is WGM Turner. He is arguably one of the best early season 2YO trainers. Year after year he is always quick off the block and is always worth watching. I'm not sure if the Brocklesby is still held at Doncaster but if it is, his runners will be primed for a decent run, over the years he has had many winners/placed horses in this race. He's had a winner recently and is seemingly good form, his horses are often weeks/months ahead of the top stables at this stage of the calendar. -
Re: Black Caviar going for number 24, Friday 22nd, 10:45 am Live on ATR. Robertob... Re: Turning the screw
I was led to believe there are pots of gold inside bookmakers. Gosh.:unsureAs myself and many others on here have noticed over the years, the bookies have been slowly turning the screw on us punters. As highlighted in other threads their EW terms are much much worse than in the past, like offering 2 places ante post when 10 are still in the betting. I highlighted that Fred and Hills now apply their Lucky15 bonuses on the profit and not the returns which was previously the case. This morning I was in Cor.als for a coffee and a read of the papers when I started reading the small print on their Liucky 15 slips. They now on longer apply any bonuses now for 4 winners , it's only Lucky 31s where they only give you 10% on 5 winners. How much more can the screw be turned? -
