Yeah it's crazy how Purcell isn't getting any respect after what he's done recently. He'll likely be too tired for the US Open though!

Hi and welcome to the forum @Duffyduck74!
-
Nothing for me today, but good luck guys!

Max Purcell (+5.5) to beat Carlos Alcaraz at 1.83 with Unibet Poor Max, getting no respect after beating Ruud and Wawrinka back-to-back. It's understandable given Alcaraz's statute, but I'll side with the underdog on what's a very sizeable handicap line for a men's match at this stage of an event. Purcell is in the form of his life and Alcaraz isn't as dominant as you'd expect - let's just hope that the Australian won't start feeling serious nerves.

Cori Gauff to beat Linda Noskova 2-0 at 1.73 with Bet365 Going against Noskova again, as Gauff was dominant yesterday and looked motivated as hell as well. Noskova now with two big wins in a row, and I once again don't trust her, Kvitova just wasn't clinical enough yesterday.
-
Petra Kvitova to beat Linda Noskova at 1.44 with William Hill Noskova had a great win over the tired Samsonova yesterday, but I don't trust her here at all. She was in awe when she met Kvitova in Miami earlier this season, and she lost in a double quick time, 3-6 0-6. This should be closer, but I think that the burden of playing against someone who's been her hero will eventually take its toll.
-
Donna Vekic to beat Jennifer Brady at 2.02 with Unibet Brady stormed back to the tour with some impressive performances over the last two major tournaments, but I'm not sure I quite trust her here as the favorite. Vekic is always a tricky customer and I have some small doubts about Brady's fitness and her ability to sustain the momentum. There are now some expectations that she should perform well, and, before she produced those nice performances, she lost against Sakatsume in straight sets, so it's not all rosy for her. I like Vekic as the underdog in this spot.
-
Sloane Stephens to beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto at 1.57 with Unibet A good price for Stephens to beat the clay court specialist imo. I was a bit worried about Stephens last week, but she played relatively well, and she tends to be focused enough on home ground. Cocciaretto is coming into this straight from clay as well.

Unlucky with Wang not converting a MB 😕 Calling it quits this week with Cincy coming up next!
-
Xinyu Wang to beat Makenna Jones 2-0 at 1.73 with William Hill I'm going down to the ITF level for a pick today. Jones played an incredibly long match against Dolehide yesterday, and I reckon that she'll be quite tired. Moreover, I'd rate her a class below Wang as well, this is a top 300 player facing a top 100 one, so no surprises there. Should be straightforward for the talented Chinese lady.
-
Petra Kvitova to beat Belinda Bencic at 2.18 with Unibet I'm not sure where this favouritism of Bencic is coming from. She's been more active than Kvitova so far in this season, but her results have been worse overall, and I didn't particularly like her this week's performances either. Kvitova can be inconsistent, true, but there were shades of her good form in that match against Giorgi, and I see no reason for her being the underdog in this one.
-
Milos Raonic to beat Mackenzie McDonald at 1.82 with Unibet Fancy Raonic yet again. McDonald had a massive win over Rublev, but this is a completely different match-up, so expect short rallies and McDonald's shorter stature to get exposed by Raonic's serves.
-
Milos Raonic to beat Taro Daniel at 1.60 with Unibet Things went really well for Raonic in round one, as Tiafoe was struggling big time and allowed the Canadian to take advantage. Daniel is a step down in terms of overall quality and has a very attackable serve, so this is a great opportunity for the returning Raonic.
-
Leylah Fernandez to beat Peyton Stearns at 1.67 with Bet365 I've always liked Fernandez as a player, and I think this is a good spot for her. She did well enough in Washington, and her movement should be good enough to counter Stearns' decent, but not tremendous attacking potential.

@LOVETENNISPlease post your picks in one post only and mention the bookmaker that's offering the odds. Also, it would be great to see some reasoning added!
-
Sorry guys for the late thread opening! @LOVETENNIS Please don't include links to affiliate websites, I presume it was unintentional Darya Kasatkina to beat Elise Mertens at 1.57 with Unibet Kasatkina seems to have Mertens' number, and she beat her quite comfortably only a couple of days ago in similar conditions. I've been mostly disappointed by Mertens so far in this season, and I don't expect her to turn things around here. Bernarda Pera to beat Linda Noskova at 2.00 with Bet365 It's hard to say if this is even going to take place, but, if it does, I see no reason for Noskova to be the favorite given that she's still in Prague waiting for the Prague tournament to finish. It's a long trip to Canada, and she won't have much, if any, time to adapt.
-
Linda Noskova to win WTA Prague 2023 at 1.73 with Bet365 So this is a bet on Noskova to beat Korpatsch on Saturday and then Cristian or Hibino on Sunday, while having a massive home support in both matches. Looks good enough to me, she really is drawing energy from the stands, and she's by far the most talented player in the remaining line-up.
-
Alexander Shevchenko to beat Daniel Evans at 2.40 with Unibet Fully agree with @MJT here after taking a second look at the card. Shevchenko is motivated, you just can't get rid of him, and he really took the fight to Korda in the previous round, even though he was a big underdog and even though Korda wasn't bad at all for the first two sets before falling apart with an injury. Evans can be a bit sluggish these days, and his overall game plan is starting to get hit by his age unfortunately.

Well I'm still waiting on Yuan after yesterday's rain, and I'm not feeling it elsewhere. Will take a look again later on, maybe I'll post a bet or two. Good luck everyone!
-
Yue Yuan to beat Tereza Martincova at 2.45 with Unibet Martincova feels overrated to me here. Yes, she'll be playing at home and she's good when she's on, but she's been struggling on and off for quite some time now, and Yuan has serious potential in my opinion. She even managed to run Azarenka close in Wimbledon, and I think everything above 2.10 is worth taking.
-
Juncheng Shang to beat Ben Shelton at 2.20 with Bet365 Shang managed to beat Shelton 2-0 not that long ago in Atlanta, and I see no reason for him being the underdog here again. Moreover, he's kept some match practice in the meantime, while Shelton hasn't played a match since that meeting, and that can only help him. Karolina Pliskova to beat Hailey Baptiste at 1.40 with Bet365 Pliskova hit a new low during Wimbledon, where she lost in R1 against Stevanovic. That was a tricky match-up, though, and Baptiste on a much more regular surface should be a good opportunity to bounce back. The American hard courts have always been good hunting grounds for the Czech, and I think she'll get the win here one way or another.

Will be rooting for Wawrinka in the finals today, great to see him in that position again!
