Rather unlucky there with Venus 😒 Fernando Verdasco to beat Jakub Mensik at 4.50 with William Hill I'll go with another juicy price for a veteran tomorrow, as 4.50 is just too much given how unproven Mensik still is. He's a decent prospect, no doubt, but Verdasco already has a win under his belt here, and 4.50 looks a touch big to me, I'd be about 3.00.

Venus Williams to beat Celine Naef at 3.05 with Unibet This is obviously a speculative bet, but I'm willing to take it at these odds. Naef seems to be yet to play a match against such a big name, and she's been spending most of her time on clay, so, if Venus Williams turns up, there's a decent chance of an upset I feel, despite all the obvious negatives going against Venus. She's been practicing on grass for at least a couple of days now according to her Instagram, so it's not one of those I-don't-really-care returns by all accounts.

Sonay Kartal to beat Magdalena Frech at 1.80 with William Hill Sonay Kartal has been rather active on grass already, having qualified for the main draw here after narrowly losing against Boulter last week. Frech, meanwhile, is yet to play a match on the surface, and she hasn't done particularly well recently either. After beating Kenin, Kartal doesn't have much to fear here, and the home conditions could easily lead her to a win.

Novak Djokovic (-5.5) to beat Casper Ruud at 1.89 with Unibet I can't really see past Djokovic here, and I think the games handicap is the best option here, as the set handicap is priced dreadfully low. You need a weapon of sorts to bet Djokovic, and, while Ruud isn't entirely weapon-less, he doesn't have anything particularly big in is repertoire, and that will most likely bite him. Nerves could also be an issue.

Well, we have two interesting finals in store, and both should be one-sided according to the odds! But it's obviously fair to say that Muchova has a 2-0 lead in the H2H, and that both matches took place on clay in 2019/2020. Djokovic, meanwhile, has a 4-0 lead over Ruud, and it's 8-0 in terms of sets as well. Any upset fans out there?

I think Muchova can be a bit dangerous if on song, Sabalenka is one-sided and can be preyed upon.

Carlos Alcaraz (-1.5 sets) to beat Novak Djokovic at 1.91 with Unibet It's not very often that you get to see such odds for Novak, but I think they are entirely justified in this case, as he just hasn't looked all that great so far in this French Open and even during the clay court season overall. The drive is still there and he clearly wants it, but the form isn't, and Alcaraz has looked imperious so far honestly. Usually, you'd feel that Djokovic would get the advantage if this went to the distance, but I don't have that feeling anymore at all.

Stefanos Tsitsipas (+2.5 sets) to beat Carlos Alcaraz at 1.70 with Pinnacle Well, alright. Alcaraz might very well be the best clay court player in the world right now, but let's not get overoptimistic about his chances. Stefanos Tsitsipas has been very good himself over the clay court season, he has the conditioning to stay with Alcaraz for a few sets, and the odds look decent enough to me as well.

F.Cerundolo/H.Rune - Over 36.5 games at 1.85 with Unibet This could be much closer imo, and I agree with the sentiments that have already been posted here. Both are big fighters, both have done really well recently, and I think that there will be quite a few momentum swings. Rune is the favourite, of course, but he can also produce momentum swings against himself here and there.

I don't really have a bet for today, the men's matches should be quite clear-cut aside from one, and I can't find anything I'd like on the women's side of the draw, either. Hoping for Kasatkina personally, but Svitolina certainly has a good chance.

Ons Jabeur (-1.5 sets) to beat Olga Danilovic at 1.81 with Unibet Alright, let's go against Danilovic yet again. Her game was on the verge of collapsing against Paolini, but the Italian was really poor, and Jabeur also has some deadly drop shots at her disposal, which should work like a charm against Danilovic, who is obviously not the best mover with her height. The odds for the outright win are rather poor, so I'm going with the 2-0 bet instead. Cori Gauff to beat Mirra Andreeva at 1.80 with BetVictor Well, I honestly think that Andreeva isn't quite ready just yet. She will be soon, but Gauff should prevail here with her athleticism and experience. She's a top player by all accounts, and she's been here and done that.

@adastra Fritz has been really classy recently, much improved in every respect, but this certainly won't be an easy match for him. I'm backing Fognini to beat Ofner at 1.73 with William Hill, he seems to be the best he's been for quite a while, and this might very well be some sort of a swan song tournament for him as well. On the WTA side of things, I like Avanesyan to beat Tauson at 2.89 with Pinnacle. It's such a huge price, and I've heard nothing but praise for Avanesyan for her two wins in the early rounds. She isn't the favourite, of course, but Tauson tends to have off-days as well, and seems a bit overrated in this particular spot.

Alex De Minaur to beat Tomas Etcheverry at 1.80 with William Hill De Minaur is no clay court specialist, and Etcheverry is, but the Aussie is competent on all the surfaces and I think he's still better, especially after playing himself into a decent enough form recently. There will be plenty of long rallies in this one, and I like De Minaur's condition a bit more honestly, so that's the edge that should hopefully carry him through. Francisco Cerundolo to beat Yannick Hanfmann at 1.50 with William Hill Hanfmann had an exhausting epic in the first round, and one that even had plenty of ups and downs, both mentally and physically. Cerundolo has been extremely solid recently, and I think he should just take this quite comfortably if he turns up in a fine enough form. Jasmine Paolini to beat Olga Danilovic at 2.09 with Pinnacle Once again, I'm going against Danilovic after successfully backing Watson to cover the handicap against her during the qualifiers. She's still holding up physically by all accounts, but Paolini is a nightmare match-up to test her stamina, and a very competent clay court player in all regards as well. She'll make Danilovic play plenty of extra shots, which is something that worked against her in the past, so everything above about 1.90 looks value to me here.

Fabio Fognini to beat Jason Kubler at 1.57 with William Hill Backing Fognini yet again, Kubler tends to underperform on slow clay and his fitness tends to be an issue as well these days, which makes me worried, especially when put together with his long last round match. Denis Shapovalov to beat Matteo Arnaldi at 2.10 with William Hill Look - I'm not particularly big on Shapovalov, but he did overcome a lot of adversity in R1, and that's something that could boost his confidence and just help him out in general going forward. Moreover, Arnaldi is by no means a big opponent, and doesn't have a lot of experience facing "big names" in Grand Slams - and yeah, I think that Shapo still is a big name of sorts. At odds against, this looks worth a shot, but not if it drops! Jelena Ostapenko to beat Peyton Stearns at 1.40 with William Hill I did back Stearns in the first round, but she had some issue against the very "undercooked" Siniakova, and this will be a major step up for her that I don't think she'll be able to get through. Ostapenko had an easy match in the first round and looked fresh and collected.

Today doesn't seem to be anywhere near as interesting! Selena Janicijevic to beat Oceane Dodin at 2.40 with Unibet Janicijevic managed to beat Dodin in three sets in Strasbourg just a couple of days ago, and 2.40 seems like a big price for her to repeat that feat. Dodin has been subpar all season long, really, and the slower the clay, the worse her performances.

Peyton Stearns (-3.5) to beat Katerina Siniakova at 1.79 with Unibet As has already been pointed out, Siniakova hasn't played for quite a while now, while Stearns is an up-and-coming player that's made lots and lots of progress recently. She should be very hungry as well, and I can definitely see her running away with this one. Dominic Thiem to beat Pedro Cachin at 1.80 with William Hill The odds have now risen so much that I have to play Thiem over the three set format. He's improved at least somewhat recently, and he should have the fitness and experience edge if this goes on for a while. Fabio Fognini to beat Felix Auger Aliassime at 3.20 with Unibet With @four-leaf on this one!

Lucas Pouille to beat Jurij Rodionov at 1.71 with Unibet This is actually a re-match from a couple of days ago, when Pouille lost the first set and then came back strongly, with Rodionov seemingly struggling physically a little bit. Now we're in the longer format, so, if he isn't fully conditioned, he'll struggle even more, and Pouille will once again get all the crowd backing he can get.

Nao Hibino to beat Ylena In-Albon at 1.58 with Unibet Hibino has been one of the most pleasant surprises for me in recent times, she's really played herself into quite some form ahead of the qualifiers, and she looked very prepared in the previous round, completely out-playing a semi-competent opponent without wasting much energy. I think she's two levels ahead of In-Albon form-wise, and I like the odds for her to win.

Both bets came in yesterday, and I'm going for this today: Lucas Pouille to beat Hsin Chun Tseng at 1.86 with Unibet I watched Pouille a bit against Machac, and he really wants to be back it seemed to me. The crowd was supporting him a lot, as well, and Tseng is perhaps a worse opponent than Machac, really, so I'd have Pouille somewhat lower here.
