Another tournament this weekend. The 13th and final tournament of the European Tour for the season. The last 6 winners of European Tour tournaments have all been different so as normal, wide open.
Looks very much like another tournament that Humphries looks primed for, with a nice draw. I'm going with the following :
(note, be wary of the cheeky sods at PaddyPower who are the only booking having the audacity to pay 1/3rd as each-way for two places. Everybody else is doing the correct 1/2 e/w for 2 places.
    3pts - Humphries 5/1 Bet365
    ----------------------------------------------
    1.5pts e/w - Chisnall 16/1 Coral
    ---------------------------------------------
    1pt e/w - Dobey 33/1 Bet365
    1pt e/w - Bunting 40/1 Will Hill
    0.25pts e/w - Pietreczko 200/1 Bet365

Wow, Saengkham was awful against Anda. Ford got the win though. Few for the morning:
was tempted with the 3/1 on Sijun to beat Ronnie.

2.75pts Sijun (+2.5 handicap) vs Ronnie 10/11 Paddypower

Small bet on Yuelong on the outright market. Not worth any high stakes here at all but he’s playing some lovely stuff right now.

I think as good as Anda was a few days ago, you just can’t lose that final after complete bottling it and then literally a few days later, jet off to play again and still play great. I think Saengkham has to be the bet tomorrow.

A few others I like. I didn’t expect much from Ford but he looks up for it in this event and he plays a Robert Milkins that looks like the Milkins off old.
3pts Saengkham to beat Anda 4/6 Paddypower
2.75pts Ford to beat Milkins 10/11 Paddypower
    ———————————-
1pt 4-fold - Saengkham, Ford, Yuelong and over 7.5 frames (Day v Yize) 7/1 Paddypower

I think Carty on a -1.5 handicap is worth a shot in the early hours. He’s beat Burden 4-0 in the only h2h and he’s most certainly in the better form.

I’ll also give Chadha a chance against Craigie. Chadha has a few good wins under his belt and I think Craigie could be vulnerable.
2.5pts Ash Carty (-1.5) to beat Burden 11/10 Paddypower

2pts Chadha to beat Craigie 6/4 Paddypower
    1pt treble - Carty -1.5 / Mertens / Wakelin 6/1 Paddypower

Yeah, be interesting to see if he keeps this up. He’s looking a bit threat for the Worlds but he still does have a shocker In him. I pretty much back him every year at the worlds but right now I’d say him as about 16/1 shot to be good value and he’s currently 11/1.

I think Humphries is a big enough price to win this one. I wasn't impressed with Price and I thought he missed a shedload of doubles. Humphries also has his issues with doubling but they both hit a similar average last night and both hit the same  180s. I really see it as a 50/50 and so I'll take that and also Humphries to win and most 180s.
3pts Humphries to win 2/1 Boylesports
2pts Humphries to win and most 180s 4/1 Paddypower

looks like Anda is going to go 3-0 up and now go behind 4-3. Either way the frames are covered.
Very nice. Anda through to play Hongyu in the Semi Final.

Skybet is offering Price and Smith both to win with a -1.5 handicap and most 180s for 6/1 so I'll be taking that tonight, also. If anybody fancies Peter Wright to beat Humphries tonight then their other boost looks like a decent option. It's Price, Smith, Dobey and Wright all to win at 13/2
3pts Price and Smith both to win either 3-0 or 3-1 and get the most 180s 6/1 Skybet

no probs. Glad he got the win. You'd have to fancy him to beat Cullen or Smith and then Wright next round, too.

Anda did the business but Lam was easily beaten. Could have been different if he took that second frame 50+ up. Small profit. Not much else for the day

I think as good as Humphries is, his weakness is his doubling and so I wouldn't trust him tonight. Hence, the Woodhouse outright pick. Either way, I will leave that match alone. I think Ross Smith and Cullen should give us a good few 180s but the line is too high for me. PP are offering a boosted 9/2 on Cullen winning 3-2 and I do think that's good value as I can see it going to a final set.
I'm tempted with Searle but it's so hard to know what you're getting with Peter Wright nowadays. I also think Dobey has a chance against MVG. Either way, I think we'll see a good match in that one. I'll give a 4-fold shot at 20/1 tonight. On the whole, an evening of longshots I suppose.
    2pts Cullen to beat R.Smith 3-2 9/2 Paddypower
2pts Dobey to beat MVG and most 180s 9/2 Paddypower
    1pt 4-fold - Woodhouse (+1.5 handicap) / Dobey (+1.5 handicap) / R.Smith v Cullen Over 4.5 sets / Wright v Searle Under 6.5 180s - 20/1 Paddypower

Going with Anda to beat Slessor today. Anda is playing some lovely stuff with wins over Mertens and Ant McGill. He got one century and 3 50+ breaks in the 4-0 win over Mertens and then hit a century and 2 50+ breaks against McGill in a 4-1 win. Slessor beat Lisowski but only hit a couple 50+ breaks. I'm also going with Lam again. He has been profitable for me recently and has started the season well. Yuelong will be a tough match for him but I think 11/5 is a nice price.
5.5pts Anda to beat Slessor 8/11 Paddypower
    2.5pts Lam to beat Yuelong 11/5 Bet365

The 6/1 comes in. Impressive stuff from Smith. Easy Gilding win for him in the next round and then it’s Price.
