Wuhan Open (plus qualifiers)

This event is scheduled for October but the qualifiers are over the next 5 days. At the Morningside Arena, Leicester. One bet for me this afternoon (the 14:30pm matches) and it's Ash Carty to beat Gary Wilson. Carty made the Quarter Final last week and has put in some solid performances this season, so far. Wins over Un-Nooh, Walden and Joe O'Connor.

Wilson has had some poor results at the start of this season. He didn't win any matches in Group 9 of the Championship League (2 draws and 1 loss) and then he lost 5-4 to Ben Mertens. He played some better stuff against Mertens and hit 3 50+ breaks but without a win so far this season, the value has to be with Carty at 2/1.

3.5pts Carty (+2.5 frames) 4/7 Bet365
2pts Carty to beat G.Wilson 2/1 Bet365

2 for tomorrow. Lam's match is at 10 am and 2/1 again looks to be some value compared to Pengfei. Hicks is a better player than Miah all day for me. In my eyes, that isn't an even match. Ofcourse it doesn't mean that Hicks wins but in my opinion, he is shorter than 4/5.

2.5pts Hicks to beat Miah 4/5 William Hill
2pts Lam to beat Pengfei 2/1 Paddypower

Nice going Sandy Lam! I see all the players in the 7pm matches are English which is slightly unusual(to have a whole session with just one nation represented)

Perhaps it was meant for travel reasons before. As I assume this tournament was meant to be in China before all the match fixing kicked off. Dunno, maybe.

not an issue in Leicester that’s for sure

Ben Mertens (+2.5 frames) to beat Shaun Murphy at evens with Unibet

Here's my contribution for tonight. Belive it or not but Mertens who's 18 already has taken Murphy to the brink of defeat in last years CL and I belive in this Belgian guy. Leclerq didn't win today and so will Ben fail or impress? I think he's gonna impress the shit out of us and Murphy.
