Group G today and a group that looks quite open. I think Lu Ning has a good chance here but I just can't be having 3/1 on a player to pretty much win 80 per cent of his matches atleast. I'll take a chance on O'Neill. He has shown some nice form recently at the German Masters and has beaten Murphy and pushed Ding to a decider. He shouldn't be down at 12s.
1pt E/W J. O'Neill to win Group G 12/1 paddypower

Beauty of it is ....if you want to account for that you can......yiu do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with ...the formula can account for a dozen diff ratings easily ......I'm trying to make my rated races as close as I possibly can .....I'm using recent form .....form rating (which encompasses weight speed and class )....distance form ground form and handicap ...that's a big portion of what makes a horse "win" .....I'm overwhelmed tbh how well its picking value bets given the low class of racing.....I think if Cheltenham goes ahead the differences at the top level are much greater and it will really come into it's own....I think it will find some seriously good bets especially in the big hcaps ....its very exciting

No joy with Jak Jones, yesterday. Joe Perry comes through to win the group Guodong also goes through.
Group B gets played today and Kyren Wilson is the headliner. We saw Wilson only recently at the Championship League but he didn't really perform to the standard you would expect and at evens, the price seems far too short to win the group.
I'm going to take a chance on Li Hang and Pang Junxu. This event is a best of 3 in each match and so you need to score well. Hang has that ability. Junxu showed everybody what he's about at the Scottish Open and German Masters. He's beaten the likes of Maguire, Allen and Tom Ford. At 10/1 he looks abit of value if the form remains.
2pts Li Hang to win Group B 5/1 betvictor
1pt P.Junxu to win Group B 10/1 betvictor

A brand new ranking event comes to town this morning, just several hours after the completion of The Masters. This event was supposed to be showcasing the return of Stephen Hendry, but he has pulled out. Along with the likes of Neil Robertson, John Higgins and Ding Junhui.
The tournament reminds me of the Championship League event. It's group play, with 16 groups of 8. (128 players). The top 2 go through in each group to give us the last 32. Those 32 will be split into 4 more groups. Same rules apply (top 2 through) to give us a final group of 8.

I tend to search for the winner of these events by playing out whom I think will win/qualify for each group, to get an idea. However, I've not seen any markets open for the outright winner yet, so I'll just focus on Group M.
Although he should be winning this group, I'm happy to rule out Perry. I can't take Stevens at 3/1 and I'm not interested in Wells, Lawler or Pinhey. Guodong is a good player and it wouldn't surprise me to see him win this group but at 3/1 it's a no, thank you!.
I'll take a chance on Jak Jones winning this group. The last time we saw him, at the German Masters, he beat Jiahui and Kyren Wilson. In-between some not so great performances; he has also beaten Bingtao and Jack Lisowski over the last few tournaments that he has competed in.
2pts J.Jones to win Group M 13/2 bet365

Well done to Bingtao, Higgins had multiple chances and threw away a good 2-3 frames there but Bingtao showed great bottle there. Higgins is getting abit of a name for himself as a constant runner-up.

De Bruyne can be backed at evens with Hills for an assist and at 21/20 with Uni not to get one. Too close to call for me though if you gave me a free bet on the market I'd narrowly favour the evens.
6/1 with Lads the best I've seen for a "screamer" (goal from outside the box) and 11/2 for 2+ shots on target from outside the box with PP was worth a second look.

Bingtao Vs Higgins then, Surprisingly, Bingtao has won the last two head-to-head matches in 2020 and 2019. Bingtao has needed a deciding frame in every match so far and has been behind in every match. He has shown great temperament. Much will depend on if he keeps his head in a major final. He won't be used to that kind of pressure and, ofcourse, Higgins will.
I won't be betting on the outright winner with a tournament outright already active but the bet I do like is both to hit 2 centuries. Higgins hit 2 in the last couple of matches and Bingtao has hit 1 in the last 2 and so it's not unreasonable to think, in a "first to 10" match, we won't see two from both.
If i was pushed, I would have Higgins winning this something like 10-8
2pts Both players to hit 2 centuries 7/2 paddypower
2pts Higgins to have the highest break, most 50 breaks and win 5/2 paddypower

I think trotter hit the nail......look at the race first.....if theres a much touted fav .....who's considered a massive improver etc ....probably best to just avoid the race .....really this should come into it's own in the big hcaps ....that's where pricewise had his big wins .....we are gonna get some serious winners.....its inevitable because the foundation is solid
