    Do you think?

I say the best teams make their own luck. Fine margins come into play in a game like this, and it's the team that takes it to the edge of every play and every chance and makes sure they are on the right side of that fine line that go on to win.

I think they were insanely effective and also had a nice portion of luck. Just think about the two games vs Bayern. Vidal misses a penalty to make it 2-0 before the half time break. Then a few minutes into the second half Ronaldo scores and later a Bayern player sees a red card. Or their performance in Napoli. Napoli has a great chance to make it 2-0 but hits the post. Then they get one corner and Ramos scores to kill off the game. The same in Calderon where they are 2-0 behind, get one good chance and score. When they needed to score a goal, they scored it right away. They never missed.

  2. I don't wanna say that Real are just lucky but they never have any bad luck. It's always the right bounce, the right deflection, the right red card for the opponent or the right wrong call for them. Juventus were obviously the better team in the first half. Then Real come out pushing more in the second half and they just need a little more than 5 minutes and a shot from Casemiro that wouldn't have gotten in, gets deflected and falls perfectly into the net. Then Juve defense is shocked for a little while and they score again. It's amazing. They just never miss by a few inches in those kind of situations, and that is luck too.

  3. Well, the Wenger boys are back... Too stupid to beat fkn Sunderland at home.

edit: They did it in the end but 2-0 won't be enough. Liverpool will beat Boro and Arsenal won't score that much against Everton with that kind of pressure on them. Hopefully Wenger will have to go. I'm not an Arsenal fan but this man just doesn't know when it's time to retire.

...my mistake, I thought Liverpool and Arsenal both had 73 points. GD doesn't matter anyway.

If Vidal had converted that penalty, Real wouldn't have even reached the semis. Don't need to mention the robbery that Bayern had to witness in the return leg. And Barca is having the worst season in a long time (still beat Real 3-2 in their own Stadium lol). And that's the only reason why Real might win the league. Zidane is one of the luckiest coaches. It hurts to see great footballers play his shitty style of football, and get rewarded.

Won't be so lucky against Juventus in the finals.

Hope so. But with Zidane's luck as a coach half of Juve's first team will be out injured on June 3rd. That and/or Ramos heads one in in the last minute to tie it and then they get awarded a penalty which Ronaldo converts after being completely invisible during the game.

  6. There's nothing left to win or lose for Lyon in Ligue 1, so this is the game of the season for them. Ajax have a bad record away from home and Lyon came back from a deficit and won 3-2 just 4 days ago. Lyon to win.

No value on United. For United and Mourinho it is about reaching the final and not winning the game. They haven't shown a lot of killer instinct in front of the goal and both teams will be very cautious. Celta know that it will be almost impossible to come back if they concede first and United already have the away goal to put them through. Hate playing Unders but it looks like the best bet. Will stay away though.

You can not mention many things about this showdown, you have to bet on the motivation and the necessity of points
SOUTHAMPTON FC vs ARSENAL @@ ARSENAL, odds 2.05

I agree. Do-or-die game for Arsenal in their run for a CL spot. Apart from Koscielny, who is questionable, every significant player is available for Arsenal. Plus Arsenal beat them 5-0 in Southampton in the FA Cup Last 16 round in their last encounter.

  8. A best possible scenario game for Real Madrid. They don't have to do anything for the game themselves and can score on the counterattack. Zidane loves this because it's his football philosophy. Play shit football and win.

Atletico will hopelessly try to make the impossible happen and Real will score. Real to score more than 1.5 goals looks good to me.

  9. Juventus rested important players for this game. They want this one. This isn't Barca in Camp Nou, it's Monaco in their own stadium in Turin.

Ligue 1 sides are overrated. Falcao and Mbappe will crumble when they feel the toughness of a top class Italian defense away from their cozy beach front stadium and Higuain and Dyballa will finish the job.

  10. I think that Monaco aren't tough enough to overpower Juventus and fight their way back into this. Juve can basically defend without a care in the world, which is what they love and other teams can't cope with. Serie A is as good as won. Their dream is the CL and with all their weapons up front, I don't see a reason why Juve shouldn't win again.

  11. Considering Celta's recent results, Mourinho's experience in these kind of situations and the importance of winning this competition both for Man United (because of the CL spot) and Mourinho (European title in his first season already), I think it's not too wrong to back United tonight.

i hope no one followed it. it seemed like goal fest in my head but didn't turn out that way

    • Southampton vs Hull
    • Stoke v West Ham
    • Sunderland v Bournemouth
    • WBA v Leicester
    • Palace v Burnley

No offence but goal fest in your head with these kinda games? :lol

I thought you were being sarcastic when I read your prediciton.

  13. I'm sure that trying to get into the Champions League ranks is still no1 priority for Arsenal and they can't afford to not win this game. Leicester also have another away game on Saturday vs West Brom and probably won't exactly go all out no matter what happens vs Arsenal.
