    One of my races was Voided today half way through ....... I wasn't watching and there was no replay on the 'Life' site so not sure what happened .......... from the comments appears to have been a serious incident at the 2nd hurdle and they couldn't clear the track before the horses came round again

    It means I ended up with two singles on the same race and my best horse finished 2nd

    race 1 - A and B

    race 2 - C and D

    the 4 doubles are 

    AC, AD, BC, BD

    you can't have AB or CD as a double becaiuse the two horses are in the same race !

    Well I'm not .............. because I wouldn't bet 20 quid on one race !

    I sometimes do this bet for smaller stakes .... obviously yoiu just select two horses in one race and two horses in another one and the bet options will come up and put your stake in and select 4 doubles ....... 

    If the site doesn't offer 4 doubles as an option just do each double separately

    is that what you mean ?

    I think your probably right in that the bet I do is not a cross double

    I've googled 'cross double' and it looks a bit too complicated for me .............. ?

    I'll just call them doubles if i remember !

    To be honest in my 30 odd years of betting I've never understand these sort of bets where it's up and down and round and about and 'if this, then that'

    I'm a 'try and find a winner and back it' kind of chap .........

    I've just checked a random day in 1985 ....... Tuesday 18th June on the Radio Times Listings Archive and it seems that Medium Wave opted out of the John Dunn Show on Radio 2 at 6.45 for 'Sport and Classified Results'

    Also noticed on that day they had commentary on the Royal Ascot Races during the Gloria Hunniford Show !

    This appears to be my last post in the thread, back in August ...... I'll assume that one lost so my Bank is now 1541.24

    Just thinking I might start again on this as the Jumps are underway and I fancy having a crack at the Jumps handicaps over the winter, something I've neglected for a few years
