  1. There's 7 race days at kentucky downs over the next 2 weeks, with decent sized fields and plenty of prize money. I had some success here in the past (famous last words) so thought I'd post these up. Some years it's struggle to find bookies pricing it up, so least there's a couple with odds so far.

    Kentucky Downs

    702 - Intergrated Design @ 10/1 ew bet365

    734 - Federalist Papers @ 9/1 ew bet365

    806 - Linguistic @ 9/2 bet365  |  Bout Time @ 9/1 ew Ladbrokes

    914 - Darkroom @ 4/1 Ladbrokes

    948 - Big Dreaming @ 5/1 bet365

    1021 - Driana @ 20/1 ew Ladbrokes

    1054 - Speaking Scout @ 8/1 ew bet365  |  Kitodan @ 16/1 ew Ladbrokes

  2. Agree with @Zilzalian on couple of these

    Deauville

    250 - One For Bobby @ 8/1 ew bet365

Ran career best last time on first start in France, the 2nd franked it when 2nd to a top class filly the other day. Ground should suit.

    325 - Elite Status @ 10/1 ew Hills |  Sajir @ 20/1 ew bet365

Elite Status was strong at the finish to see off Sajir 3 weeks ago here a Deauville but it wouldn't be a suprise if Sajir were to find more improvement on only its 3rd start.

    400 - Measure Of Time @ 10/1 ew betfair

Ran eyecatching race here 3 weeks ago after a year off. Got messed around in midfield and shuffled back to last, then finished strong for 3rd, should have more to give.

Interesting; I will lay out 8 pts on your selections but will have a saver on Mystic Pearl with Ryan Moore aboard despite the going being an unknown.  Pace makes a race I have often read but I don't see many pundits build this into their selection criteria.   Your race is over a mile on soft ground so how pace will pan out looks puzzling.  Would it be safest to just stick to 5f and 6f handicap sprints when relying on speed figures?  After all, there is no hiding place for a slow muddling pace in these is there?  Just a thought.

I wouldn't take much notice of what the Racing Post and ATR say about the going on French tracks they are way off most of the time often saying its much softer than it actually is. Deauville was good ground on Sunday and i believe there has been a couple of light showers since then.

As for pace in race's, you're right you don't see many mention it. I like to look at pace to try predict how a race will unfold but it often doesn't work out how you think.

This race 325 Deauville, Sivka Burka looks like the only front runner and could get easy enough time in front but she is up to a mile for first time. If Sivka Burka doesn't see out the extra furlong you have to like Fancy Me to reverse the form from lto. Also I like Elounda Queen if theres enough pace to run at, she has been held up/slow away last twice and rattled home just beaten a nose lto.

Value has to be Fancy Me @ 16/1
