  1. Stefanos Tsitsipas to beat Dustin Brown @ 1.20 with Betfair / 12-14, 18-13, 16-11, 15-10

ultimate tennis showdown week two. tsitsipas destroyed paire 3-1 (74-33 points!) and won a tight match vs gasquet 3-2. brown fell short 1-3 twice vs berrettini and paire. no chance for the showclown in this one, no matter what rules are played. take the opening line as long as you can, odds will drop.

  2. just finished watching svitolina vs fernandez. probably not the most innovative call, but i can't see anyone beating sviti in monterrey. she is not at peak performance, but she looks like she is on a mission in mexico. she served pretty well and played great points under pressure. in the semis she will play rus or peterson and in the final bouzkova or konta. the first three will be schooled and konta is 0-5 h2h vs svitolina. plus she has a great coach with andrew bettles who is always is on point with his advices and is able to calm her down. svitolina to win monterrey, no idea what the odds will be. good luck!

    /edit: played this at 2.53 with bet365

    Zvonareva - Doi / Tennis WTA Indian Wells / Zvonareva +1.5 Sets @ 1.22 / Walkover ?
Elina Svitolina / Tennis WTA Monterrey / To Win Outright @ 2.10 / Won ?

  3. i think pedro sousa is massively underrated in todays buenos aires final. the fact that he is a lucky loser doesn't make him a bad player. he beat kovalik and monteiro in straight sets, that's pretty solid. he had a day off due to schwartzmans withdrawal, while ruud needed three sets in the argentinian heat to somehow grind down londero. ruud was literally done and dusted until londero completely fell apart as he was serving for the match @ 6-4, 5-4. sousa beat ruud in 2018 in three sets and even bageled the norwegian in the opening set back then. i still agree that ruud is somehow the favorite in this, but the odds are terribly wrong imho. buy and trade is probably the best option.

Guys, what do you think about triple: Dimitro + Tsisipas + Bautista Agut?

as some of you may have noticed, backing clear favorites is an essential part of my betting philosophy. that said i would not touch the moneylines for tsitsipas and bautista agut for various reasons. tsitsipas will face ramos vinolas and the spaniard had some suprising performances on hard courts this year. i still think that tsitsipas will win it somehow, but it could be way closer than expected. tsitsipas +1.5 sets is the safe option for me. different situation with bautista agut. he always was and still is one of my favorite players because he is usually rock solid, but he seems somehow off since wimbledon. copil is very dangerous on indoor hard courts and rba's shape is more than questionable. i wouldn't even go for rba +1.5 sets in this one. take zverev ;)

  5. i'm pretty sure that peng will take at least a set vs hibino in suzhou, so we could play bencic at 50/50 odds :D

/edit: said and done, combo pick @ 2.08 with bet365

    Peng - Hibino / ITF Suzhou / Peng +1.5 Sets @ 1.36 / 6-4, 0-0
    Bencic - Mladenovic / WTA Moscow / Bencic @ 1.53 / 6-3, 6-4

peng plays at home, crowd will cheer. the last time she faced hibino she won in straight sets and outscored the japanese with +20 points. the chinese won a set in 16 of her last 18 matches. lost in straight sets only vs yastremska and muguruza. in moscow i'm trusting bencic to secure the wta finals spot.

due to a variety of factors ;)

  6. i don't even think she should be favourite tomorrow. she lost the last four meetings vs mladenovic. kiki plays her best tennis on indoor hard courts. the only time kiki beat her in straight sets was in fed cup on an indoor hard court in switzerland. kiki beat way better opponents in moscow. kiki has a great coach with bajin. the only reason for giving her these odds is the current wta ranking and the chance to qualify for the wta finals. her form is still way off, she could have easily lost to flipkens today. if she loses the first set tiebreak she is mentally done, just like flipkens was after wasting all these setpoints. plus she has even more pressure now and i don't think that will help her game in any way. skip or take an over, because they're both shaky as hell.

  7. combo pick @ 1.66 with bet365

    Taberner - Giustino / ATP Barcelona / Taberner +1.5 Sets @ 1.14 / 6-4, 0-0
    Wozniacki - Siniakova / WTA Beijing / Wozniacki +1.5 Sets @ 1.18 / 7-5, 0-0
    Aoyama/Shibahara - Babos/Mladenovic / WTA Beijing / B&M +1.5 Sets @ 1.083 / 6-3, 6-4
    Andreescu - Brady / WTA Beijing / Andreescu +1.5 Sets @ 1.14 / 6-1, 0-0

taberner 19-1 athc (against the handicap) lately, plays at home soil. giustino on the other side 3-17 athc. wozniacki seems to have found some kind of rhythm in beijing, where she is the defending champion. she beat siniakova all three times they met on hard courts in straight sets. i don't overrate the czechs win over ostapenko, we all know why. babos/mladenovic always the couple to beat. they played 28 matches this year, won 22 and lost only twice in straight sets. aoyama/shibahara won't be able to be the third combo to do so. andreescu with an hilarious run, she didn't lose in straight sets all year.

  8. combo pick @ 1.55 with asianodds

    De Minaur - Harris / ATP Tokyo / De Minaur +1.5 Sets @ 1.11 / 3-6, 7-6, 0-0
    Brady - Keys / WTA Beijing / Keys +1.5 Sets @ 1.16 / 2-6, 0-0

    Djokovic - Soeda / ATP Tokyo / Djokovic @ 1.05 / 6-3, 7-5
    Barty - Zheng / WTA Beijing / Barty +1.5 Sets @ 1.08 / 6-3, 0-0
    Thiem - Zhang / ATP Beijing / Thiem +1.5 Sets @ 1.06 / 6-3, 0-0

not popular in this forum, so let's make it popular. if you don't like it, just ignore my postings :D

de minaur is a few levels above the south african. played very good tennis in zhuhai, likes the asian swing. normally i skip keys, but she is very solid the past weeks. brady is not good enough to beat an opponent like this in straight sets imo. djokovic banker, soeda nowhere near. barty h2h 4-0 and too clever for the sneaky way of tennis played by saisai. thiems backhand was clicking vs gasquet and i expect her to do so against the local hero zhang.

remember Stan is in his 30s himself and couldn't beat 135th ranked Sinner without dropping a set, so at them kind of odds...

well, sinner is a much better player than lorenzi. anyways i don't like betting on straight-sets victories respectively minus games handicaps at all.
in the end the players just need to win their matches to advance. they don't care about our bets. in germany we got a proverb that goes like this:
a good horse jumps only as high as it needs to.

  10. hey folks! my first posting here :} i think simona waltert is more than capable to beat jil teichmann in lausanne. she played a great match vs julia goerges in her first round encounter where the german had to retire in the final set. she even defeated her fellow citizien teichmann two years ago 6-7, 6-1, 6-0. she is fired up, has a great coach (he told her in her match vs goerges how good she is and that she is now right where she belongs) and the odds are just ridiculous. in my oppinion this the most wrong priced match i have seen in months. everything on simona has massive value! good luck everyone!

/edit: well, she couldn't find the form she had two days ago. bought waltert over 5.5 games (1.90) at 0-3 in the first, so i'm a happy trader :D
