  1. Frustrating to watch, both mine should have won but neither did.
  2. Away double. WBA have hit the buffers a little lately but can get back on track at a pretty bad Blackburn. Burnley played well away at Wednesday and I want to keep opposing Hull. Double pays 5.37/1 with Bet365 (slightly bigger elsewhere but the 2 goal early payout is a good offer). 1pt double P/L: -3.6pts
  3. Oxford took the lead but weren't very good, Derby deserved the draw. QPR didn't play as well in the 2nd half but had a chance with the last touch of the ball.
  4. Small bet on QPR at half time to turn it around, Coventry are a mess and the QPR left winger is having some success. 0.25pts QPR @ 9/1 Coral or Betfair exchange. P/L: -2.6pts.
  5. Decided to back Oxford (8/5 Bet365), Derby had a tough game away at Millwall on Saturday and lost Nyambe to injury. They are seriously short on talent and Oxford will see this as a good opportunity for 3 points. 1pt win P/L; -2.35pts
  6. I can't believe how bad Coventry have been this season, really stitched up my top scorer bet on Simms. I don't think I'll have a bet but will be watching with interest as Robins surely gets sacked if they lose this. Tomorrow I will probably back Burnley at around 6/4.
  7. Golden Ambition 2:30 Fontwell (15/8 Bet365). Very well backed last time and pulled clear of the field but beaten by one of Jonjo's, hopefully go one better here. 2pts win 15/8 P/L: +6.25 Wins well, runner up was hammered into fav but didn't really look like winning.
  8. Sea Prince 2:43 Southwell (12/1 Betfair and a couple others). They tried holding this one up over 2M3F at Huntingdon last time but he's best leading over 2M on fast ground. Dropped a generous 5lb for that run and leaves him looking nicely handicapped off 108 (won brush hurdles off 112 in the summer). Usual jockey goes to Fontwell for one ride but they've booked Carver who is decent. Mr Mackay and Duke of Luckley don't look well handicapped while the fav won a 3m point and might find this a bit sharp after a break. 2pts win 12/1 P/L: +2.5pts. Skybet have him 6/1 without the fav and I've taken some of that too. Went out like a light before the home straight, Guess he is done for the season 😬
  9. Gone for the Vikings to maintain their winning run -1.5pts (25/27 Bet365). Good game but Viking lose 🤢
  10. Sunderland 29/20 (Bet365). I thought Hull would finish bottom when i saw them lose to Sheffield United (or sack the manager)...then they won 3 in a row scoring 10 goals 😂, but they were put in their place by Norwich last time and I think similar will happen against all the good sides. Sunderland can go back top with a win. 1pt win 29/20 Bet365 (2 goal ahead early payout). P/L: -1.35pts. Win.
  11. Leeds 1.91 Celtic 1.25 Dortmund 1.28 £22.50 win treble
  12. Leeds should beat Sheffield United tonight. Sheffield are very flattered to be in 2nd place, I don't think they are a good side at all but have made the most of their recent soft fixtures. 3pts win 9/10 Bet365 (2 goal ahead early payout) P/L: -2.8pts Took a while but deserved to win.
  13. No No Fizz 5:05 Herford (11/4 Bet365). Just following the money on this one, Fergal O'Brien's horses normally do the business when the money is down. 1pt win P/L: +4.5pts. Clearly they were expecting better than that, but looks useless on that evidence.
  14. Patriots conceding 17 points from turnovers, punished for every error. I've switched it off 🙃
  15. Little double on Mike Matusow's top 2 picks pays around 2/1. Goes against Percy's number 3 pick, so small stakes.
  16. Saint Segal 4:00 Chepstow (6/1). Give this one another chance in the hope that the break is a bit of a reset after his form tailed off after a promising start. Gets his ground, looks fairly handicapped and a nice racing weight. Just hope he is ready to roll. 1pt win 6/1 P/L: + 5.5pts. jumped way too stodgily to get involved.
  17. I was going for the fav Getupearly in the 4:35 (well handicapped on hurdles form and probably needed run at Fontwell) but the Christian Williams one Unspeakable has been well backed and money usually talks for that yard. So I'll take that one at 9/2. 1pt win Unspeakable 4:35 Hunt (9/2) P/L: + 6.5pts. Also a few quid on the tricast 1. Unspeakable 2. Getupearly 3. Call Me Arthur @ 81/1 bet365. Outpaced on the last circuit, next time on a more galloping track maybe.
  18. Rain has opened the ground up, I've had a few shekels on Adventure getting the age and filly allowances.
  19. Oxford 3.00 Luton 3.90 Norwich 2.05 £10 win treble.
  20. Portsmouth look like they have been heavily sedated, pathetic.
  21. Championship Portsmouth yet to win but could be worth a small bet here given how badly Stoke have played since they inexplicably sacked their manager. Boro had 29 shots against them last time, which is a pretty bad sign. Pompey have had a very tough set of opening fixtures but have competed in most games. hopefully Stoke are still in disarray and they can take advantage. Portsmouth 1pt win 16/5 Bet365 P/L: -5.55pts.
  22. "France Galop has the ground at Longchamp as ‘tres souple’ – equivalent to very soft – but the penetrometer reading on Wednesday, 2nd October is 3.8 which indicates the track is drying. Meanwhile, the GoingStick reading from TurfTrax has the going as Good to Soft (Soft, in places) after a reading of 6.7 on Tuesday, 1st October." From the Paddy Power website, also racing on a fresh strip of ground, so wonder if Auguste Rodin will rock up.
  23. Doesn't seem to be much rain forecast, looking at good ground? edit, some seem to be saying soft/ good to soft.
  24. Plymouth 3.8 Derby 2.75 Coventry 5.80 £5 win treble
  25. Dolphin's attack was awful. More injuries than points
