FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II So anyway Droylsden's rating means nothing as they were due to play the taxman-ravaged Ilkeston. As for this weekend's bets - seems to be a bit of a lack of odds available for the minor non-league divisions, for the European treble we've had to go to the ratings below 20 as the other teams are priced too short - but anyway, these appear to be the best odds available: Trebles: Previous Banks: EURO: -10pts UKPRO: +49.4pts AM&S: -10pts 10pts @ Betfred Lille 4/5 Chievo 1/1 Sampdoria 5/4 24.7pts @ Betfred Shrewsbury 1/1 Man United 8/11 Barnsley 11/10 10pts @ Coral Berwick 10/11 Alfreton 8/11 Colwyn Bay 4/6 New Banks: EURO: -20pts UKPRO: +24.7pts AM&S: -20pts Canadian of Doubles: Coral Current Bank: +94.19pts Group A Alfreton 8/11 Colwyn Bay 8/11 Group B Alloa 4/7 Man Utd 8/11 Group C Barnsley 11/10 Millwall 5/6 Group D Berwick 10/11 Oxford 4/6 Group E Carlisle 13/10 Shrewsbury 1/1 Perm groups ABCDE into 4, 6, 8 & 10 folds - 26bets @ 1pt = 26pts New Bank: +68.19pts And finally, 1pt acca on all 30+: Coral Genk 4/11 Trabzonspor 4/11 Berwick 10/11 Lowestoft 1/2 Kingstonian 1/2 Alfreton 8/11 Current Bank: -2pts :hope:hope:hope:hope:hope That's it for the weekend..... _wilkie_
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Hi fleet, NIce to see someone elses picks look similar to mine from my post, mind you I have left out the championship for this weekends bet. Im curious as to where you collect your data for the lower league teams? I usually get my data from football-data.co.uk, if you could share where you get your stats from I would greatly appreciate it.
FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II For the lower league teams, I use www.footballwebpages.co.uk for the fixtures, mainly to check upcoming fixtures & results (find it easiest site to navigate tbh). Although they do have form data & other stuff on there, none of it matters to me - all I need are the results fed into the excel files I use. I still have to put their results in manually, but with the results put in, and the next fixtures selected, everything else is automatically calculated for me as much as with the other leagues. :ok I should add that the addition of the non-league, and the European, is more an experiment than anything - my own preference will always be the main 5 English leagues - so whilst they all show as points here, I am using a bigger value for each point on that treble compared to the other 2 trebles. _wilkie_
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Thanks for the link mate, handy site to know!Unfortunately, I need match data to implement the lower league sides to my system. I guess as the lower leagues do not gain much media attention the stats just arent available.
FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Well the 1pt acca is already down - Trabzonspor lost 3-1 to Manisaspor. WTF? That's why I don't take these short-priced teams in the main bets. :dude

FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II It happens. It is still early in the season yet. Old followers from 2/3 seasons ago will tell you this method doesn't have it's blitz spell until after Christmas. 5 wins in a row anytime between now & April will do. :lol I'm staking 10 times more on the UK treble than I am on the others - at least now I can cheer on Liverpool tomorrow. :clap

FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Thanks Kev, a lot of weeks to go yet. Genk cruised in this evening, so all to play for tomorrow with the other 2 sides. I am toying with scrapping the increased staking though. 65pts next week on a non-league/Scottish treble doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. :lol If I do, the UK Pro would in theory be at +29.4pts, if nobody has any objection to it being set to that, for easy comparison the rest of the season to the other 2 banks. The pts figures mean nothing to me anyway, as I bet different amounts on different parts of the bets posted. But if there's any objection then I'll leave the bank displayed as it is. FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Looking at the midweek fixtures, and having updated with the results this weekend, etc, there appears to be enough ratings for one treble, maybe 2 including the non-league. Will wait for today's results to come & go, then check for some odds. The Championship down to Blue Sq seem to be throwing up some very strong ratings for midweek. Back tonight. FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Well Excelsior slumped to a 2nil defeat, so that's the Euro bet down the pan. Moving on, AFC Wimbledon's defeat today dampened down their midweek rating a little. Bets will probably be decided tomorrow, as there's at least one team that bet365 don't have odds displayed for yet.
FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II Scrap that comment about waiting until tomorrow, Halifax / North Ferriby are too short anyway. Trebles: Previous Banks: EURO: -30pts MAIN UK: +29.4pts - adjusted for easy comparison, as explained a few posts earlier AM&S: +110.42pts Euro N/A Main UK 10pts @ Victor Chandler QPR 4/6 Peterborough 4/5 Rotherham 4/5 AM&S No Bet New Banks: EURO: -30pts MAIN UK: +19.4pts AM&S: +110.42pts Canadian of Doubles: (Seeing as 10 teams rated 25 or higher, we'll have a midweek bet) Skybet were marginally 2nd best on the 9 without Worksop, so we've gone with them as they're only ones offering a price on Worksop at the moment. Current Bank: +53.44pts Group A AFC Wimbledon 4/6 Leeds 4/5 Group B Brighton 8/13 Peterborough 4/5 Group C Cardiff 4/7 QPR 8/13 Group D Colchester 8/11 Rotherham 8/11 Group E Crewe 10/11 Worksop Town 8/15 Perm groups ABCDE into 4, 6, 8 & 10 folds - 26bets @ 1pt = 26pts New Bank: +27.44pts And finally, 1pt acca on all 30+: Skybet Current Bank: +0.41pts QPR 8/13 Peterborough 4/5 Rotherham 8/11 Brighton 8/13 Cardiff 4/7 Worksop Town 8/15 New Bank: -0.59pts
FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's Football 2010/11 MK II The Worksop match (scheduled Wednesday) is actually postponed. Which explains why I struggled to find a price. The reason is that Mickleover Sports have an FA Cup replay - that'll teach me. If you haven't done the bet yet & intend to, then Newport County would be the replacement team..... and the alphabetical order, would mean they would be grouped like this: Group A AFC Wimbledon Leeds Group B Brighton Newport County Group C Cardiff Peterborough Group D Colchester QPR Group E Crewe Rotherham But anyway, my bet stands as it is.
