Event Monterrey - CD Guadalajara
Selection Monterrey
Strength 10/10
Date 20/03/2010
Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 2.20 (Back)
Reasoning The league is already half past and today it will be face to face two of the big names in this season. Monterrey is the Champion, and they will receive the super leader CD Guadalajara. Monterrey is living a good moment. And today they will be even more stronger with the support of their fans. They are the champions, they have a good team, a good coach but they will face the team which is making the best league so far. It won't be a easy game for anyone, but it will be a great game, very balanced. But i will pick Monterrey basically due to the home advantage, as in other factors, both teams seems equal to me.

Re: Mexico » Primera Division Monarcas Morelia Have an unbeaten streak of 4 matches, with 2 victories in that span. In that streak have just allowed 1 goal, from Queretaro, remarks they hold to zero goals offensive team Estudiantes Tecos (who has just missed to score in 2 matches out of 10). The past weekend the team draw against Queretaro, Monarcas Morelia take the lead with a goal of MF Hugo Droguett and based in their solid defending where taking a great away victory but in the last minutes of the match Queretaro was able to score and achieve a draw. Played on midweek against Deportivo Cuenca and won 2-1 to maintain with life in Libertadores Cup competition. Match where FW Jared Borguetti continues to see minutes as he will remain as the main FW, when supposedly FW Sabah departs to be with the National Team for World Cup preparations. On home the team is rock solid, with 4 matches played here the team has yet to concede a goal as they have collect just clean sheets here. Have scored in 3 of those 4 matches, with 7 goals. Are the best defensive of the tournament with just 5 goals allowed in 10 matches and average of 0. 5 goals per match. In a deeper analysis the team has allowed those 5 goals in the second halves of their away matches. Injured: DF Mauricio Romero Atlante Last home match tie 2-2 against America, result that broke a streak of 3 consecutive defeats, in which the team was able to score just in 1 match. Is the worst away team, in 4 matches have collect just defeats, scored just 3 times in those 4 matches, meanwhile allowing 12 goals, for an balance of -9 goals. The team have showed good defending despite 4 matches out of 10 have gone to over 2. 5, but in the remaining 6 the scoreline has mantain under 2. 5 goals. FW Johan Fano has showed interesting development and in 9 matches has been able to score 3 goals, but is still in his adaptation to Mexican football. Match The control of match has to be of Monarcas Morelia as with the return of MF Pereyra and Aldo Leao the team posses a very strong middle field, and their offensive is very powerful. Meanwhile Attlante would have to make a very intelligent match in order to achieve something, counterattack could be their most recurrent weapon. Prediction It isn't going to be an easy match for Monarcas Morelia, despite what the numbers show, Atlante hasn't been playing bad. But Monarcas Morelia has been very good in home and posses a very extend team to maintain the level of the players, despite playing in midweek, and should obtain a good result from here. Re: Mexico » Primera Division San Luis This season the team have showed the results of the arrival of coach Ignacio Ambriz, who has tried to change the way the team display their game play on the field. Trying to be an offensive team with accustomed defensive players has showed to be a hard task for coach Ignacio Ambriz, and from 10 matches has lost 6, with just 2 victories, one in home against Atlas, and on on away against Atlante. Right now in a streak of 3 matches without victory the team seems to be improving, but the reality is that there hasn't been a single match without the team allowing a goal. This could mislead to think they secure over 2. 5 goals scoreline, but it is rather the opposite, has 6 matches with under 2. 5 goals scoreline. During their matches have several moments where they display a good performance but are unable to capitalize that. San Luis have showed better defense on home than on away. And is such the level of some of their players that MF Braulio Luna has been appointed to the National team several times in the last month and could be on the final list for the World Cup, something that could harm greatly San Luis. Toluca After a long 25 matches unbeaten in home, the team fall 2-3 to Cruz Azul the past weekend, something that has pushed the team to recognized they need victories. Toluca showed a very offensive display in this match and their attitude was remarkable, but that offensive display isn't the rule when going away. Played in midweek against Columbus Crew in home, winning 3-2, avoiding extra times and getting into semifinals of CONCACAF Champions League. Match where MF Zinha free kick ability was display twice obtaining two goals for Toluca. FW Hector Mancilla scored from penalty. The team posses the offensive power to make many goals, but it seems coach de la Torre doesn't unleash them and maintain them under a tactical order where defending the lead seems more important than obtaining another goal, just when the team is tied is when coach de la Torre uses this offensive power. Hasn't won on away, and from 5 matches, have 3 draws, with 2 defeats. if something is to remark is their defense has just allowed 5 goals in those matches, for an average of 1 goal per match. One of the bests averages for an away team. Is on scoring where they have to improve, something that slowly is happening as in their last away match scored 1 goal against Atlas. Despite the need for victory and more due to last weekend defeat in home, Toluca will maintain their order and playing style. Match A tight match expected despite the apparent differences between both teams. Both need the victory and the development of the match will order how the teams behave, expect Toluca to began defensive and if needed gone offensive, meanwhile San Luis is more offensive in home and should control the actions from the start, but that could change as the match evolves. Prediction Toluca has an irregular season, but has the quality in their players and should be near to obtaining a good result on away. The midweek victory against Columbus Crew help to recover enthusiasm that seems lost after Cruz Azul defeat and it will be a tight and fought match but Toluca quality should be enough to get a good result. Toluca 0 AH @@ 1.94 in 10Bet 8/10

Re: Mexico » Primera Division Monarcas Morelia 0 - 1 Atlante San Luis 2 - 3 Toluca Morelia fail terribly and seems to be on a down hill, in Libertadores Cup is near elimination and their next matches will be key to see if they proceed. Meanwhile Toluca, with a great late goal get an important away victory, that gets them near playoffs. Proftit: +0.52 Units

Re: Mexico » Primera Division Club Santos Laguna v CF Puebla OVER 2.5 goals @ 1.72 - Betdaq / @ 1.70 - BET365. Santos have gone over 2.5 goals in 80% of their home fixtures so far. Puebla have gone over 2.5 goals in 75% of their away fixtures so far. Santos have scored twelve goals, and conceded nine goals in their last six home fixtures. Pueblo have conceded twelve goals, and scored scored nine goals away from home. Very coincidental set of figures :lol Skybet go 1.61 for the home win, which doesn't seem bad, considering it is slightly higher than the 1.6 offered through the exchanges. Santos have won four out of their last six homes, while Puebla have lost three out of their last six aways. Head to heads show three wins for Santos and one draw in the four previous head to heads.
